My friend and I went there last week and it was our first time. Our bartender was a brunette and she was pretty cool at first. I had asked if we were ok to park here in the parking lot late and she said yeah it's fine they won't tow. But once I said that we were here for a show, her attitude completely changed immediately. Right after she said it was ok to park, she then says that we cannot park here late or we would get towed. The service went down from there. Took forever to get drinks and it wasn't not even busy. Didn't really check on us anymore. Got the check and I gave a her a good tip even though she didn't deserve it. I used to bartend so I know what it's like. We got a to go box and we went into to r restroom for like 2 mins. When I came out, my food was thrown away but nothing was even cleaned up yet. All out plates and cups were still there. That's the only thing she touched was the throwing away out food. I asked her about it nicely said. Without even saying sorry or anything, her response was "you can get it out of the trash if you want" My friend and I were blown away! Super RUDE for no apparent reason. Totally uncalled for. My friends and I came in last night 09/11 and was very put off by the condescending and demeaning attitude the blonde bartender had toward the other bartender that was trying to assist her. I know how stressful and overwhelming it can be dealing with a bunch of people yelling at you for a drink, It still doesn't make it ok. When the other bartender came over to assist, the blonde bartender yelled and cursed at her in front of the entire bar "I got this I don't need your f...... help" the brunette responded calmly and professionally and said "we are a team I'm just trying to help you" and the blonde reiterated "I don't need your f...... help". It was evident that the brunette bartender was embarrassed and looked as if she wanted to cry. It's a shame to have someone who clearly doesn't work well under pressure, lacks self control, and respect for others working in an environment that requires all of those things. It takes a lot of patience to deal with people and It truly makes a difference seeing a strong team working well together under pressure and assisting each other without confrontation. It is never okay to yell or curse at anyone, especially in front of a bar full of guests. Great food and location...but our service last night was one for the recorde books (in a bad way). Celebrating a friends BDay. We sat at staff change. Hostess took our drink order. Another employee was having us sample new beers they had just added. So far so good. Waitress arrives.. Ordered apppetizer...the sampler. Delivered. Ask for plates. She brings 5 for party of 9. Ask for more... No napkins or silverware....ask for these as well. Drinks are coming...very slowly...Turned out they can't find case of beer that they up sold us on... Waitress is very nice and funny...but that starts to rub wrong way...as not sure she is comprehending how to do her job. She comes back to table. Says out of linens. Will have to bring paper...cool but why didn't she bring any? We ask for silverware again. Leaves table, stops to chat with patron at bar... Comes back with napkins...we ask for silverware...she says..."well not sure you need it since it's finger food"...ignoring fact one of the sampler items is two breaded breast filets that need to be cut up. By the way she says the above with a smile and giggle. At this point not that funny. She returns with a (I kid you not, the silverware in a bundle in her hand and says "not sure what to do with this"... (You can't make up this crap) We say we can hand them out. I have a little attitude and say. "I hope there are knives to cut the chicken and would be great to have plates." There are knives. I cut up chicken. I contemplate spearing pieces of chicken with fork and handing to the rest of group. No plate. So I eat with fork off the appetizer board. I ask for plate. Again. A giggle and a recognition. Leaves table again. Returns to other end of table to start taking our order. Oh well, no plate...at least I have a small napkin from bathroom (I assume). Takes order. I am sure I seem unhappy. She smiles and giggles. I contemplate not ordering and just drinking my margarita. Which was EXCELLENT!! Main courses come...and come...last person waiting a bit. Oops. His order wasn't put in. Get his order 3/4 through eating. Get checks. She didn't contemplate compensating friend for food blunder. Manager seems a little distracted. Maybe he has been dealing with other service issues??? Friends gets meal comped. I still love the food. They have been a bit slow other occasions...but nothing like the Twilight Zone last night. We talked after. The drinks that we received while at The Reservoir were delicious! We ordered a total of 4 drinks each for a total of 8 drinks. Upon arrival to the bar we were told that they were short on servers so we chose to sit at the bar. We ordered 2 drinks from a dark-haired female bartender and she quickly made our drinks. While trying to order our 2nd round from a blonde female bartender she told me no to particular drink that was on the menu. She turned to me and was rather rude when she stated "NO, I'm too busy to make an Old Fashioned" and then asked what else we wanted. We gave her our order and she proceeded to make the drinks that we settled for. For our 3rd round we asked the dark-haired bartender if Old Fashioneds could be ordered because they were busy and she stated "of course". If I could give it a negative I would! It's Monday night football & they were not staffed for the crowd. My cousin asked for Hennessy & was told they didn't have any. When the waitress walked away we looked at the bar & there was a full bottle on top of the counter. When we advised the waitress we saw the bottle she spoke with he bar tender & he stated it wasn't requested. He still made her the alternative drink even when he hadn't made the drink yet. He had the opportunity to make it right & give her the correct drink order and he didn't care to make it right. That was the first red flag of the night. We sat next to the kitchen so we were able to watch the food being placed on the shelf to be carried to each table. After watching a few rounds of this we noticed the manager had a runny nose. He would walk off to the side, blow his nose, not wash his hands, & walk back over to the food with the tissue he blew his nose with to check on food orders. He moved the plates around, moved sides around; he touched every plate that was up there. He then walked to the other side did the same thing without washing his hands & came back to hand plates to the servers. I asked to speak to him & let him know we were watching & how unsanitary it was & how it wasn't fair to the others eating that day. I came here for happy hour when this place first opened. We sat at a table in the bar area and were greeted promptly. We put in our drink order and about 10 minutes later my friend got her drink, but mine was still being made. Another 10 minutes went by before someone came to inform me that the bar ran out of cherries (I ordered some bourbon drink with lemon and cherries). I was okay with that and the gentleman said they'd make it without and have it right out to me. Another 5 minutes go by and I receive my drink. It was awful! Not so much because it was missing an ingredient, but because the lemon juice was overpowering and tasted exactly like the "real lemon" juice in the yellow plastic lemon you can buy at the grocery store. I guzzled it down anyway and we left for another bar in the area. Before entering the other bar, we were stopped by a couple patrons on the patio. One of the gentlemen asked us if we were bar hopping, to which I replied "Nah, we were just at Reservoir, but that place is trash - don't go." As soon as I finished my sentence, I realized both people were wearing Reservoir shirts. Classic. I immediately started apologizing for my big mouth. One of the gentlemen introduced himself to me as Ricky, one of the bartenders at Reservoir. Ricky apologized for my disappointing experience and asked us to please give Reservoir another shot (I had no intention of ever returning as there are plenty of options in the area for food and drinks). Ricky took responsibility for something that wasn't his fault and he promised to make it right, so the next week I decided to bring in a group of coworkers for a birthday happy hour and I'm glad I did. Ricky took such great care of us. He put us at some tables and a smaller bar (separate from the main bar), decorated the area with balloons, and clearly made every effort to deliver a stellar experience for our group. The drinks were great, the appetizers we shared were delicious, and everyone enjoyed themselves. very strange dinner. went and checked this place out after a movie. my husband and i have been wanting to dine here, and it was really busy on this beautiful sunday evening! quite a hodgepodge of diners, i must say. we were seated immediately, and my first impression of the place was not good. the host sat us at a table that had the busboy's container of dirty dishes on it. the host moved it off of the table without a wipe down. i asked if our table was clean, and he said it was...mmmkay. great music and great atmosphere! our server walked up and didn't introduce himself. we ordered our drinks (attempted to order our app, but the server hurried off) and about ten minutes later, i got my res-rita with salt when i asked for no salt. my husband raised the issue with our server and he looked at his ticket and said, 'you're right. she ordered no salt.' he grabbed my drink to replace it and hurried off again. it was heavy on the lime juice, not on tequila. we got our queso app ordered. when it arrived, it was lukewarm. the shredded cheese that was on top didn't even melt into the queso-that's how lukewarm it was. my husband said that the queso reminded him of the kind that comes out of a jar. we decided to split an entree. we opted for the full rack of ribs and got elote and mashed potatoes for the side. the food came out in about 20 minutes. the potatoes had cream gravy on them, which was not in the description. both the potatoes and the gravy were bland. the elote, which comes on a stick, was very over cooked. it was like the corn sat out or sat in water for a long period of time before coming to the table. the ribs were gristly, fatty, and over-sauced. we ordered a full rack to split and couldn't bring ourselves to even finish half. we asked for the check and the server asked if we wanted a box and we declined. he noticed that we barely touched the entree, so he asked if we didn't like it. we told him we didn't. he escalated the issue to the manager, who removed the entree without coming to the table-no problem at all. i appreciate him doing that for us. the servers seem to need a bit more training. the bus boy also came around rather aggressively and tried to take plates we were still eating from. when he came around again and we finally told him we were done, he cleared the whole table off as we sat there, and wiped it down. he wiped food on me! i was done at this point. i don't know if we'll ever return to this place. the two stars are for the ambiance and the ribs being taken off by the manager. read more

Came here for lunch with 8 other people and our experience was good. We were only able to stay a short while and our server kept us on time. Our food came out quickly and my Ahi Tuna Salad was delish. Not the best I've ever had, but it was definitely up there in my Top 10 and that's going up against some good competition. Considering the great location, this place is rather unremarkable. The food is overpriced bar food and the menu itself is way too big -- and offers very few lighter or healthier options. Neither of our dishes were that good. The ambiance is quite awkward, as if they had ten different decorators and designers come through there. Similarly, we felt the service was poor and clumsy. The timing and speed was all over the place. We got a very weird vibe as soon as we walked in and it was 100% confirmed after the first 10 minutes, as another reviewer mentioned. We actually found it very strange that this place didn't even appear on Yelp until well after it had opened AND that the business owners hadn't "claimed it" as of today. I can't see this place lasting long. The location is excellent but you also have multiple other choices right nearby that do everything better. New restaurants always have teething pains, I know, but Reservoir's issues go deeper than that. read more

I was in town with a friend for a training seminar at the Marriott Las Colinas. This was my first time coming to the Toyota Music Factory Plaza, which was a really happening spot. There was a really good band playing and we couldn't decide where to eat, because you are literally surrounded by at least 5 restaurants in the area of the plaza, so we decided on the Reservoir, because it had seating where you could see and hear the band. The food was really good. I got The Poblano Grilled Chicken sandwich with fries - delicious. My friend got The Cuban with sweet potato fries - both delicious. My only drawback was that they were playing their own music inside so loud, that we couldn't really hear the band very well - it was like a battle of the bands, actually, because it was all open to the courtyard area. We should have sat at a table more towards the outside, so that was totally our fault. I would go back for the food alone, but it definitely has more of a bar-feel to it, if you have kids with you - just FYI. We visited on a Saturday afternoon. There was no wait. The food came out within 15-20 minutes. It was delicious! We used to eat at the Ft Worth location for years and the food tasted just as I remembered. So much flavor. I will probably always only eat the Cap'n Crunch chicken tenders. I love the sweet chili ranch it comes served with (or you can get a mustard sauce). That combination is just amazing and pairs really well together. My husband had the Chicken and Waffles. It comes in a skillet with 2 tenders on top. The waffle was nice and fluffy. So were the pancakes that my daughter had. The lemon curd on top of the pancakes were not overwhelmingly lemony. It had a great taste and the roasted potatoes were fantastic. The prices are also in my opinion very reasonable. As with any new business, there are kinks to be worked out. Our server was a little slow but there were other staff members and managers who came to assist when we appeared in need. The restroom was a little dirty. This was also after lunch rush and apparently a race that just finished. I also pointed out to the manager that we tried calling several times before arriving but no one ever picked up. He apologized and explained the rush. I noticed he was keen on listening and talking to diners, which is great. NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN. The food and wait staff here are always great, however the bar and "late nights" are not safe for women. The bartenders always seem to have a bad attitude and specifically Rod Ramirez is a danger to women as well as security. He will put your drinks out of your line of sight AND reach then tell you "right in front of your fucking face" when you ask about them. He will then have you violently ripped out of the establishment when confronted about how his attitude is unnecessary and his actions are dangerous even though you are leaving on your own accord. The security staff also seem to just be waiting for a chance to be unnecessarily violent towards women. They will not be cordial or ask you to leave, nor care if you are already headed towards the door, they will just jump you. If you go here I recommend before the late night hours kick in and only using waitstaff as they are always pleasant and do a great job. read more
