I honestly wanted to give this place a 4/5 stars. However, my family and I decided to get carry out one evening. I decided to order and pick up. I attempted to call but their phone service did not allow you to call in orders. Although I was not happy about that I still wanted to try and decided to go there, place an order, and wait...Well that was a mistake! Not so much for the food part but the wait felt like eternity. We walked in and literally there were only 2 families eating inside. They hadn't received their food yet; it appeared they had just gotten there themselves, but were actually dining in. We placed our orders and the hostess suggested we take a seat as they prepared the food (cool right?!)...Wrong...We watched 3 door dashers come in and pick up meals, we also watched the 2 families order, receive their food, eat, have dessert, and leave and out to go food was STILL not ready. This prompted me to ask was there an issue, and the hostess advised they were bagging our food at that time. This process still
took another 20 mins. Of course I was pissed after spending more than $100/plus I also left a tip, I was also super hungry with little energy to debate. I just wanted my food and to leave. Finally the food came out and the hostess stated "Oh and BTW we threw in a Flan for your wait" (which I appreciated but we don't eat Flan). However, we gracefully accepted her attempt to make things right.
Now, as for the food...I will say do not allow the ordering and waiting experience deter you from enjoying their delectable selections of wonderful foods.
My family ordered steamed snapper, salmon and shrimp in cream sauce, the seafood soup, and chicken empanadas. OMG I WANTED TO LICK
THE PLATE!!!! Everything was seasoned to perfection. The soup was not fishy given all of the seafood that was in it. It had mussels, shrimp, oysters (I think), clams, octopus, and a lobster tail in a delicious mouth watering rue. The snapper was based in a lime sauce that was absolutely perfect; not bitter or anything. The shrimp and salmon in the butter garlic sauce was good as well, the salmon was a bit overcooked but still very enjoyable.
The restaurant has a full bar and they offer hookah. It appears they have live music on certain nights and possibly accessible to a night "club" vibe.
Now, based on my experience I would say dine in or door dash because the food is awesome, but ordering to go is not so fun.
Enjoy!!! read more
