Great place to come when you are REALLY hungry. They offer huge potions with plenty of leftovers. Free chips and salsa with plenty of seating to choose from. They have live mariachi if you would like. Normal menu options. Anything from burritos, tacos, ceviche, seafood, etc. Located right off independence blvd. Convinient location.

I really liked this place, from the decor to the service, it was a good experience. The fresh guacamole made at your table was delicious, but the salsa was lacking. Very oniony and thin. The lunches were all around $10 and i got 2 enchiladas. They were very small, but good. My guest got the lunch burrito which looked great as well. The margaritas were top notch, Fresh and nothing fake sugar. Fresh lime and orange juice, grand marnier and tequila- delicious but pricey considering the glass was full of ice. Great location, great service and tasty food, but I have had better.

Had a fabulous Sunday funday at Azteca in Matthews with my bestie! What we got: Sangria Mexican beer Chips & Salsa Deluxe Taco Salad (grilled chicken & shredded beef) The inside is so fun and they had a mariachi player. Good music, good food and even better vibes. Also, if you want good Mexican food you won't find it in the city just make the drive outside and get you a fabulous meal and a Modelo

Beautiful Beautiful decor! Service was spectacular! Our server was Luis-Ernesto, made us feel very welcome. Spoke with Omar, the manger - great guy. I'm a fan! Will be back! Table side fresh guacamole ! Spot on!

This restaurant was literally attached to my hotel After a long day I was greeted by an amazing host that allowed me to sit in the bar area where I met a wonderful bartender and bar back that gave me top notch customer service As you can see the food came out looking immaculate I ordered my steak fajitas medium to medium rare They were amazing so if you are in the Charlotte North Carolina area off of Woodlawn exact address 118 East Woodlawn avenue please stop by the azteca Mexican restaurant for good food and good company

Carborhydrate and salt heaven. Bit don't count on flavor. Must be the bar that keeps them in business.

And as crowded as it was on our recent visit, The One may eventually have to seek out trendier, more spacious digs somewhere else in the Queen City. Until then, be prepared for a noisy ambiance, peak hour waits and tables that are a bit close for comfort. But the food and cocktails make it all worth it. The extensive menu of shareable plates offers something for every palate, from the tasty Fettucini with Roasted Duck Ragu and flavorful Braised Short Ribs to the amazing Oxtail Empanadas. Paired with a perfectly mixed Old Fashioned or a bottle of wine from their impressive selection, it adds up to a compelling culinary experience for anything from date night to an evening with friends. Service was excellent on our visit and prices were very reasonable for a meal of this caliber. Parking is free and super-easy, but reservations are highly recommended -- especially for weekend visits. My only gripe was the tightness of the space, which makes intimate conversation a bit challenging and the tables a bit crowded -- especially when you order a variety of plates. But if you can manage to visit on a quiet weeknight, The One will deliver a wonderful tapas meal that will have you planning a return visit before you pick up the check.

For $50 you get 4 wines and 3 small plates plus information about both. The pairings were excellent and the food was incredible. A smaller restaurant with a big punch and a fun menu. We had reservations so we were quickly seated upon arrival and waters were made ready immediately after seating. We were super hungry so we ordered an appetizer of I Yam What I Yam ( a sweet potato bruschetta with lemon mascarpone) which was amazing and definitely not something you can find anywhere. For my main I chose the Cobia with pesto and gigante beans. I love the amount of flavor with this dish and I love even more that they had Cobia (not a very common fish found in restaurants). The fish was perfectly cooked and again, the pesto exploded with flavor. I wish would have saved room for dessert but after these amazing dishes we were stuffed. Great food, great atmosphere and great service!
