Republic Services has missed or been extremely late picking up trash in our neighborhood twice in the past few weeks, and often they leave trash on the street. What's even worse is that you cannot speak to a supervisor or manager when you call. They have to place a ticket for someone to return your call. That kind of poor customer service is unacceptable in 2017. I am not sure we have the option as an individual homeowner to go with a different trash collector, but I will find out. Roy read more

If I can give them a zero I would give them absolutely zero beyond horrible service they are telling me that they cannot pick up the bulk trash because it's not a household items when everything is put very neatly in big O bags for them to take but they will not do it absolutely horrible service. read more

Total disgrace as a business. I've lived here since 1987 and, of course, Republic Services has had a monopoly on trash pick up in Las Vegas all this time. I can speak on residential and business services, and both are a joke. For residential, depending on what crew you get, you'll either have timely, clean service, or you'll get the jokers that toss glass out around your driveway and use your own bins to block your driveway/ I've had both. Business speaking, for years I have been in charge of facilities at my workplace. They used to be ok, although overpriced. We tried to get a recycling bin once, and they basically wanted to punish us for trying to go green by charging some astronomical fee. My business is a non-profit and we used to get a very reduced rate. As of this year, they did away with that and started charging us almost $900 a quarter for trash pick-up. Prior to that though, I've dealt with nothing but missed pick-ups, people that won't push the bin back in the gated area, and decision makers that don't give a lick about raising rates. Need extra pick-ups? Sure, but they'll charge $65 a pop for that. The only rate that is somewhat decent, I think, are the construction bins for when you need to clear out a lot of stuff at once. I have to say, though, that the phone operators are always nice and do as much as they can. The bulk of the problems stem from the drivers and the CEOs. This company is so bad that really complaints shouldn't be left here but at the Better Business Bureau or with the Secretary of State. read more

It's like pulling teeth to get recycling bins out here. We tried to have them delivered...twice. Then we went to the office on Sahara: out of them. Finally, we got them here. The girl was polite and sweet and I was happy that it was over so they get points for that. But seriously just go get the damn things instead of having them delivered. These idiots are the worst! I've lived in 6 countries and I've never been as disappointed in a garbage service as republic!! I watched my house cameras one day as they threw garbage on the sidewalk instead of putting in the giant "garbage" receptacle that they navigate around!! Immediately after writting my initial review for Republic Services I received a response back from Sharon (corporate customer experience specialist w/ Republic Services). Sharon immediately apologized for my experience in the Las Vegas office. Sharon asked me for my contact/mailing information so that she could arrange for something to be sent to my son. When I returned home from Las Vegas there was a package waiting for...it was a mini garbage can for my little guy. Thank you Sharon for turning a wrong into an awesome right. TERRIBLE customer service. I've called in 3 different times over the last 2 weeks but have to hang up after being on hold for 30-45 min.... is there seriously that many people calling about trash?! Last week they didn't pick up my recycling can even though it was outside by 6am. Plus recently they cracked my recycling can and now the lid won't even lay correctly on the can. Absolutely horrible company. Unfortunately, they have a monopoly in Las Vegas that was just renewed for a ridiculous number of years. This gives them no motive to improve their horrible service. Pay attention to this issue and write to your county commissioners. There must be a performance clause in the contract that requires this company to actually provide the service they are contracted to provide. Write your elected offiials and demand improved performance. If they don't hear you, vote them out of office. read more

I have been trying to have a mattress removed for over a month now. I have over 5 reference or case numbers so far. This all started on feb 12,2018 it is now March 15,3018 and still no mattress pick up. This after several emails confirming pick up... several phone calls promising the mattress will be picked up. Of course it's apology after apology and it's always the other persons fault. Somebody did this or that wrong. Meanwhile nobody is actually doing their jobs at all. Every Saturday the driver is absolutely careless with these cans! This weekend mine and even my neighbors trash didn't get picked up at all and my recycling was still half full. This is ridiculous! Not the first time for the recycling still being half full but it is for the trash. Republic Services needs to teach their drivers to do the job completely and have some professionalism. Called Republic customer service contact number to order construction waste tub only to be put on hold three different times for over 15 minutes each. Always get the canned messages that wait time a little bit longer than normal and that a pro will be with you shortly yet no one picks up. Went to their online ordering and although Republic offers a 10 yard tub on their website, the site would only bring up the 20 yard or larger tubs to rent. read more

Just bought a new house in Henderson and for whatever reason my recycling bin is getting missed. I could tell when someone tries to move it because it's not where I left it. Bin is constantly left Half full. Trash that gets dropped isn't picked up and ends up on my property. Every time I call customer servive I get told they willl send another truck and no one ever shows up and I end up with a letter from my HOA . I'm tired of lies. read more

Republic Service is a joke!!! Their customer service is some of the worst I've ever dealt with. Whatever you do, don't forget to pay your bill. They will put a lien on your property, treat you like crap when you call (main number) and charge you $167.00 lien on a $90 bill. We need to complain to the County Commissioners. I have used this location a couple of times to dump trash-gas-oil ect. Has been fairly simple up until today. Apparantley Republic has hired ex prison gaurds to check you in. Had the nastiest lady who accused me of dumping two days prior and was sure I was trying to dump illegally. Yelled at me to open the back of my truck and became abusive. She actually ran my license plate when I told her she had the wrong truck. Ended up paying $96 to leave my trash. I wish I could terminate my service but our goverment has stuck us in Las Vegas. read more

I don't complain about much I understand people screw and things happen. I have a feeling the reason republic is this way is because they have a monopoly in Las Vegas. I called and transferred my service and let them know it was a brand new community so it would be difficult to find the residence. It's been over a week Im and I still haven't had my trash cans delivered now I have trash piling up. I been calling back and fourth all day and have not gotten any resolution. I was told I needed to talk to a consultant and the "consultant" even wondered why they transferred me. I'm actually on the phone on hold now for over an hour and still waiting. I wouldn't label them as rude or disrespectful even despite me losing my patients with them, at this point I honestly think the logistics and administration are a bunch of morons and not in a derogatory term I mean they don't know their head from their ass. I'm not even mad more like I just feel sorry for them. read more

I am absolutely livid!!! We had requested with Republic services that they exchange our small recyclables bin with a larger one. They promised it would get done on our next service day.... which it didn't. We had to contact them the next week where they then made the same promise. Surprise! No bin exchange and we had to call a THIRD time. Finally, they took our small bin...... but guess what no larger bin ever came in!! We have gone a week now with no recyclables bin. Why take ours if you're not going to bring another?!?! I have called the call center 3 times this week and each time they say "I'll submit a request and we will call you back" and I am so upset. They had already submit three requests!!! At this point you need to do more!! The lady was rude and condescending and wanted to rush me off the phone (ritzy? Rixy?). We have children at this house and dogs and having one bin is not enough. I have recyclables stacking up because we don't even have room to just put them in our trash bin because that is full too. This company is a joke and I'm about to just show up to their office and drive a damn bin home myself in my sedan. read more

Wow, I am so lost and amazed on how horrible the service is with republic services. Don't bother leaving an message with the message service asking for a call back because they don't call you back. I called because my trash was not picked up and was told my account was in the red when I didn't even give my account information to the representative yet and we always pay our bill for a year and my current bill even shows a credit. After spending 10 minutes trying to locate my account with the rep I am told my account was closed. So now I'm having to send them my bill showing that they sent me that shows my account info and the credit we have with them. OMG this is really bad and they should be audited and we should all be requesting to get new services so that Republicans services can be removed from the city and our trash pickup services. Maybe being in another company to give them a run for the money. read more

I'm not sure where to start. For about a month I've been calling trying to get all the right information for medical waste (needles) & bulk trash pick up. When I first called about a month ago I was told my bulk trash pick up days. Which I missed, my fault. Then I was told that for the needles it's rotated between two locations for drop off. I call today trying to see which location and what days for my pick up. Now all of a sudden there's no bulk pick up for my house and I can just throw the needles in the trash?! Why can't I get the same answer from everyone. Why am I being told something different every time I call. I'm just gonna wait for the stupid truck and start throwing it all in there my self. Oh and pretty much $40 for pick for a fridge. I might as well of had sears take it for $15 less! read more

I have actually been really impressed with the garbage collectors that work my neighborhood. They are very friendly and I'm amazed at the things they will pick up (i.e., big, bulky, and heavy). It's all the lazy residents I can't stand--try bagging your garbage instead of putting it loose into your cans, and then maybe it will end up in the garbage truck where it belongs. read more

Horrible customer service. Trash has not been picked up. Put out at 4:00 in the morning. Called 5 times (everyday) since. The lied and said it would be picked up next day. Still not picked up. I place Republic Services (RS) in the same category as banks and mortgage companies: they are all liars and they are all greedy. RS has promised recycle bins for 14 yrs! There is always the same lame excuse that they are "working on it". However, their rate has increased several times since 1999. They are just another headache to deal with. I compare RS with NYC Sanitation Dept. who were an noisy, messy bunch but they got the job done faithfully - even in snow storm weather & their rates were included in the monthly mortgage payment. read more

So, after decades of no problems with Republic Services (or any other company that they came from), they decided to stick it to me this last week. We were cleaning out our house and were busy doing that so I had my kids take a load to the transfer station in Henderson. I told them to show them their drivers license with our home address on it and that they would be able to look up that we are current with our bill (which we pay online and do not get a copy of, nor receipt). The transfer station employees have been great doing this and have always done this for us and many other people. This time however they told them that they had to pay. Having waited over an hour in line they paid it. They came back and showed me the receipt and on it says "refunds go through corp only". I called corporate today and Teresa there said there was nothing she could do and that since my kids were not on our bill anyway that they would've been charged anyway. How does that make any sense? I will be making a visit in person tomorrow. read more
