This was my first time visiting Republic Harley-Davidson in Stafford, and the experience was exceptional from the moment we walked in. My husband has been here several times before, but this visit was special because we were trading in a bike that didn't quite work for both of us. What we found instead was a true family atmosphere created by an incredible team. Donovan was our salesperson, and he was absolutely amazing. Even with a broken foot, he hobbled all over the dealership helping us find exactly what we wanted. His dedication and positive attitude made a huge impression. During the buying process, I met Don, the manager. When I complimented him on the family-like atmosphere, he immediately said it was his team that made it feel that way. I made sure to tell him that the strength of his team shows he's a great leader. You can feel the pride and unity the moment you walk in. The reason for 2 stars is because the salesman was really helpful. But the financing department was OMG no words to describe it. Hit me with 16% with credit score of 820, and somehow my trade in magically disappeared. I even show paperwork proof that my friend bought the same bike and it doesn't cost that much. The funny thing manager said is "you can go to that other dealership to buy it with that price and I hope they close down for sale you the bike at that price" Well I did the next day and got the bike from that other dealership, and guess what? 3 of my friends also got the same bikes. If I could give zero stars, I would. James C. is by far the worst salesman I've ever dealt with. From the moment I walked in, he acted like he was doing me a favor by even acknowledging my presence. He had no real knowledge about the motorcycles he was selling--just a bunch of generic sales talk that made it obvious he was more interested in his commission than actually helping a customer. He kept pushing me toward the most expensive models without even asking what I was looking for, and when I asked specific questions, he either gave vague answers or straight-up incorrect information. When I caught him in a lie about a bike's specs, he laughed it off like it was no big deal. To make matters worse, his attitude was beyond unprofessional. He was impatient, dismissive, and had the nerve to roll his eyes when I said I needed time to think. The final straw? He tried to rush me into signing paperwork without explaining the details--probably hoping I wouldn't notice the ridiculous fees he snuck in. Needless to say, I walked out without buying anything, and I wouldn't recommend James C. to my worst enemy. If you want a smooth, honest motorcycle-buying experience, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. read more

I would give zero stars if that was possible. I thought shady car dealerships was in the past. Most places are no haggle. do not buy at this place!! The finance guy dustin is the worst! I will admit I am an idiot for getting taken advantage of the way I did, but I did realize I was taken advantage of and desperately tried to cancel the thousands and thousands of dollars in warranties I purchased at 25% interest. They tell you that you can cancel when you are signing your name on the contract, but when you try to cancel they wont let you. They make you drive to the dealership to sign some stupid cancellation form then they they just never process it. They claim you "changed your mind about cancelling". 6 months later I am still trying to cancel the warranties with no help from these shady people. Oh and if you are thinking about buying there take note that they don't have pricing for anything on the website. That is because they intend on trying to charge you well above msrp. if you buy from this place know exactly what the msrp is and DO NOT USE THEIR FINANCING!!! read more

Do not do business with this store. My husband went in to look. The staff was very aggressive and got him to put money down on a motorcycle. He had to rush out on an emergency call and they convinced him to sign the paperwork before he left. He came back and changed his mind. He never picked up the bike or got a copy of the paperwork. He is trying to recover his 3,000.00. That is terrible customer service. I would think they would be so sure of their product that they would not need to keep 3000.00 for a Bike that was never picked up. This is a very successful company. Wow!!! A multimillion-dollar company that has to keep someone's money to survive. I can only guess that it is bad management. I will be contacting the headquarters and the news if we don't get our money back. They should fire this manager. read more

I am with a few other guys here. I somehow let these guys screw me. if i could give negative 10 stars it wouldn't be enough. My deal was done on a 24 Road glide they got me for about 15k. the msrp was around 28k. i traded in 2 Harleys at 14k value they jumped the bike up to 34k . pretty slick they got me to pay them for my trades . so about 8 mouths have passed since the deal. To make matters worse i was talked into a bike i didn't want . i went to buy a Road king but none available at that time. So yeah two bad s happened bought wrong bike and didn't look a final price close enough.. ( they get you in that room and start talking about all kinds of options and numbers ) nothing straight forward in there. so I go back to them to see if they would like to make good on there screw job. mind you we are talking about a bike less then a year old with 150 miles on it. i want to do a deal on a Road king (the bike i intended on in the first place) of course without missing a beat these axxholes try to give me another screwing . fool me once lol never again!!!! I really like this dealership. Everyone greets you when you walk in. I have come in a number of times just to look around and see what's new. The salesman, knowing I am not buying today, still escorts me around and tells me about the new bikes. That's really cool. That drives loyalty. They also have a great motoclothes department. The ladies up there are outstanding. Always ask to hold my helmet for me so I can shop more freely, always checking to make sure I am okay or need help with a size. And they have the best selection of items up there anywhere in Houston. My only, only reduction of one star is that they markup the prices on everything over what HD's website says. Recently bought a new horn cover that was 22% over what was on the website. Was going to buy a jacket a few weeks ago and it was 25% over the suggested retail. That is my only gripe. And hey, for the service level they offer, I'm willing to pay that and will continue to. Just wish it was the same as the website HD suggest. I know owning a HD you pay a premium. I've purchased two Harley Davidson's from Republic Harley and when I tell you, the customer service is impeccable, it REALLY IS! From the moment I walked that dealership, over a year ago, to the moment I left last week (and all in between), the Sales, Service and Clothing Departments have always been outstanding! I purchased a 2013 Road King and a 2019 Road Glide through Republic including the coverage necessary for the amount of travel we do and both bikes have been great! Negotiating is never a hassle, the atmosphere is so laid back but professionalism is top priority! They care about your Ride and Experience because it shows! I've traded in several Motorcycles with them including most recently, my baby Raspberry, a ZX-6R Ninja, I purchased brand new in 2008. All 48,000 miles, I put on that bike made it hard for me to let her go. Republic understood and never pressured me to trade! *UPDATE* After being told by the adamant parts guy that this could not be refunded/canceled, it was amazingly canceled and refunded just after posting this review. Bought a bike from this location last year, which I found out that I was screwed and should have gone to a different store. That's my own fault so it is what it is. Since then, the experiences of visiting this location have been less than stellar. Of the 5-6 times I've been there, one was good and that was just to get the 1,000 mile service. I waited to make a review to see if maybe they're just human and have bad days like all of us. Recently ordered a battery charger on the website to pickup in store. Website indicated that the store is open Monday from 0900 to 1900. I went to the store around noon on Monday and store is closed. I try to cancel the order since they were not open when they said they would be open. After 3 written requests to cancel the order, I get a phone call saying they can't cancel the order and I have to go to the store. Having to go to the store to be handed an item just to hand it right back and return it makes no sense. I have never seen such poor customer service. Now my only option is to deal with the bank and dispute the charge. Save yourself the trouble and make the drive to another location, there are a few options in the Houston area. read more

Ive never been to a business where they openly lie to you. Let me explain I came here on the last day of the month and they gave me a quote and they tried so hard with their high pressuring to buy a bike it's so funny. Anyways, I came the next day with my written quote and they upped the pride an additional 5k dollars which in less than 24hrs. This place is such a rip off they purposely don't even have a price tax on any of the bikes so they can lie to you and make up a price as they go. What you should do is look at the Harley website and look at the list price before they quote you or you will get ripped of from this steal-ership. They did pick my bike of free of charge and the tech was helpful and knowledgeable. Went today to pick out a seat and unlike other dealerships, they don't have them out or much less, demo them. Loved the layout, the experience is truly worth exploring if you've never really touched a motorcycle and want to look around. Been riding for a while, purchased my first bike here but I wish I avoided a lot of the costs of what a Harley is but also I am reviewing both their classes, motorcycle sales, and clothing sales in this review. Pros + Great selection of new Harleys and used + Awesome clothing and gear sold on the second floor + Abundance of staff + Knowledgeable and friendly staff + Cool events + Lots of reminders and invitations to their unique events, makes you feel like a part of the Harley family + In house shop that could probably fit over 20 bikes for maintenance or repairs. Had something break on me, they fixed it up for about 200 bucks + Clothing salespeople were lenient and informative + Tonya and "Tater" were absolutely the best riding instructors I've had (actually gave us handouts prior to letting us ride unlike the previous MSF course I've had) and mentioned to me, "you're doing great, don't know what the previous teachers were having issues with" + Riding course features 500cc Bikes that don't require a choke Cons - Bike salespeople were super aggressive, do you NEED GAP insurance? Folks told me I'll probably want to upgrade every so often because that's part of the life even after I told them I'm on a budget, a car payment, and a mortgage already. - A lot of the fees weren't really discussed on what you needed, they'll sell things to you and tell you what you spent afterwards. If I knew it was going to cost up to 2,000 to get a bike delivered, I would've waited to pick it up. Be prepared to spend a lot more than just the MSRP, so if your bike is 5k, prepare to spend somewhere between 10k-12k. Would you shop there again? Yes, not for bikes though. I'd come here for parts, maintenance, and clothing. I might take up advanced classes. read more

So - the guys at sales and front are awesome - I am hugely disappointed at the service department - I don't know if they do this on purpose or if they are that irresponsible. I got my bike serviced - head to toe - new tires - paid over $800 In mid June I took it back today to get evaluated to sell. Now all of a sudden they come up with a list of things that need to be done. NONE OF WHICH I was told when I got the service done !! How is that even possible? Either the service guys are in competent OR they are just trying to cheat me so they can buy the bike cheaper and sell at a higher price to make them some money!? My experience buying a new vehicle has been nothing but amazing! I've heard a lot of horrible things but people I've dealt with in the actual dealership have been nothing but awesome! I am a person who is very slow at deciding and when it comes to deciding with one too many options, I just can't decide, AT. ALL. So I walk in and I hit up the hottest guy in there and made him tag along for a month and a half! Finally to his and my surprise, I actually bought a brand new iron 883. So if you are looking for a motorcycle but need someone who is patient and will ride n number of bikes and would look at you and say, "you need to get one that you are comfortable with" then Aaron Muller is your guy. So when you get here ask for Aaron and wait for him patiently cuz even when on the toad he'd make it a point to be protective of you and still enjoy your ride. After Aaron, David and Holly took amazing care of me! Holly would also give you tips on how to get your credit score up with the financing they offer (so leave your biker chick / dude persona at home and listen with humility if you wanna save money and take care of good credit!) Yes there are some customer you'd come across that scare the bijesus out of you but these three people would make you feel like you are family. Your extending republic family can be found in the first floor with Michael, Cindy and Tay who would take care of all your accessories! Finally not to forget Brad, who would help you in all ways to make sure the motorcycle is delivered to you when you want it. Brad is also this cuddly, calm daddy type that'd make you feel secure! Overall, Republic took my bad experience with the riding school and made it into one of the most positive ones ever!
