Local gem! Owner (Jeff) runs the place and is very honest and knowledgeable. Been going here for…read morethe past 17 years. If you have a household project or work going on at your house, Jeff will not only explain how to use the equipment, but will also explain how to complete the project. For example, gave me specific instructions and tips on how to refinish floors, reseed a lawn and install posts. A much better choice than the Big Box Stores who lack this type of personal touch. Lastly, went in during September for a lawn aerator. Owner told me that if the ground was very dry it would be a waste of money because the tines probably would not penetrate. Advised me to come back later after the soil was moist. I appreciate someone who's not out to just make buck. Worth the while.

When I started renting a storage unit in 2020 with Keith being the GM every thing was great. Since…read moreKeith left, and his replacement obviously left I ended losing my unit because of financial problems and it was auctioned off for $5 with another location sending me a bill for the additional $1400 owed WTF???????? If I had known it would be offered for $5 I could have sent someone there to buy it and save my stuff. It's been impossible to email or call and no one seems to be able to tell me anything. I am very upset that the so called "great" customer service went from a 10 to a minus 50!!!!!!

All for twice the price that other moving and storage facilities offer. And to add insult to injury, they insisted after all of their mistakes that I paid an additional $4.50 for tolls, even though I have an Illinois toll collecting unit that I use for paying for tolls when I go through them. Honestly, after all of their mistakes you would've think they could've erased $4.50, but that is just how greedy this company is.

I brought my Honda HRX mower to them for a new carburetor in May of this year. They called me to…read moreask if I'd like a tuneup as well. Normally, I do that myself, but since it was there, I said go ahead and do it. Two weeks later they called and said the mower was ready. The problem was that, I wasn't ready. Not ready to be charged 250.00 for a carb and a tuneup. According to the notice on their counter, a tuneup consists of such things as a sparkplug, oil, and air filter change. Along with that, there is a blade sharpening, as well as scraping the dead grass from the deck's underside. Upon my inspection, I noticed the deck was untouched and the blade was not sharpened. The filter was changed, but nothing else was performed that would justify the high cost for the service. When I asked to speak to the manager for a price adjustment, I was told by the young woman attendant that the manager wasn't there. I asked her when the manager would be there, she replied that he didn't work at that facility. They apparently have another location. I said in reply that I won't pay the bill until the manager calls me in order to see if something can be taken off of what should be a 150.00 dollar job. Two weeks later, I haven't been contacted, and don't expect to. I've since written off the mower and obtained a replacement. Anyone considering this business for small engine repair should consider going elsewhere.

Had the pleasure of having this Public Storage location be my work storage unit for 1.5 years!…read moreConvenient parking, all indoor units, incredible staff, clean area - everything was great! Also had to leave a review because the manager, Melanie, is literally the best property manager I have ever worked with about a storage unit, or anything for that matter. She was SO attentive, kind, helpful, and on top of everything. I was nervous about moving out of a storage unit for the first time and how the process goes (I didn't want to miss any steps or mess something up and be hit with a fee) but Melanie made moving out a BREEZE. I had a unique situation, too, because my storage unit was originally in someone else's name, plus I had some large things in my storage unit that wouldn't fit in my car or family's car. She explained everything to me and said she'll call me later before 6pm to touch base with me so I'm 100% set (she also had to make a few phone calls). She helped me resolve everything and if I didn't have to move storage units due to a work location issue, I'd still be here! Thank you Melanie for being extremely helpful and going above and beyond; definitely leaving Public Storage with an amazing experience in mind.

They are 4x4 specialists and will tell you like it is regarding any repairs that are needed for your vehicle. My Explorer was in need of the rear end to be rebuilt after 100,000 miles, as it started howling on a recent trip. I was expecting this not to be a cheap repair but with the expertise of SDL, they still made it reasonable and what I was expecting to pay. I also brought up a couple of small leaks on my transfer case and Phil's team included the repair as part of the initial quote! If you're looking for a repair shop to talk to you in unicorns in pixie dust, please get that out of your mind before you walk in the door as you will basically get a point blank description of what is wrong with your vehicle and what is needed for them to complete any service to your vehicle. Be prepared for direct and honest communication! Don't expect to get a trophy for showing up and bringing your car in for service! Thanks again Phil and team, I have a feeling the bearings in my rear end were making noise longer than I thought, as I don't recall my vehicle being as quiet as it is now for quite some time! Job well done!
