Used Moxie for a recent pack and move. Both crews were professional and efficient. Items were…read morepacked carefully and everything made it from point A to point B in tact. I have no gripes with the movers themselves. The lower rating is due to a few things. Biggest issue - During the packing portion of the move, their crews used a strong, elastic, workout type band to tie back the front gate. That would have been fine other than the fact that the band they used and how they placed it on the fence/gate pulled the gate beyond the limits of the hinge and broke the frame of the gate. Things happen. I wasn't too worried about it until Moxie told me it wasn't their responsibility to fix because it was an old gate that had been repaired previously. They said "This is part of having old fixtures at your house and we are not liable for such issues." So buyer beware. If you have an older home or belongings, they are not responsible for any damage, even if they are the ones that bend it until it breaks. If you want broken stuff and a lecture these are apparently your guys. These next two I was overlooking until the gate incident happened, but since I'm already here... The booking process is confusing. You call in to speak with a rep and then you need to fill out the paperwork yourself on their website. That wasn't mentioned as a next step on the call so I spent several days waiting for follow up from them. It wasn't until I followed up that I was made aware of this process. Finally, the crew mentioned that there were a few items left at the old house, but that it wasn't much. I said that was fine without seeing what was left since it was the end of the day - my mistake. There was quite a bit left, like multiple trips over several days to get everything out which was frustrating to deal with given our personal circumstances. So that's it. If you have a new house and all new stuff you're probably fine. Not sure what their definition of old is though, so proceed with caution. All in all, poor customer service with a side of condescension...chef's kiss.

The quote they provided was accurate, but as a customer, it's important to be well-prepared. I opted for the move-only service, and packed everything myself, with them disassembling and reassembling the beds. I highly recommend packing as much as possible in boxes, as it helps the movers work much faster (this applies to any moving company). I felt fully prepared, and the team delivered exactly what we agreed upon. The payment process was straightforward, and they were very communicative throughout. The owner has a great and friendly team, and I will refer/hire them for any moves in the future.

I was a bit wary considering the low cost, but they did an incredible job and maintained wonderful communication throughout the planning and moving process. I was given a window of 8am-8:30am for the movers' arrival, and Corey, Tamarius, and Drew arrived right before 8:30am. They did an excellent job taking apart and wrapping my furniture and got everything securely into their truck within about two hours. The unloading was extremely fast and Tamarius kindly put together the furniture they took apart for transport (and even moved some heavy packages that were waiting for me upon my arrival to the new house). I noticed a few small nicks on my guest bed frame and on one of the legs of my kitchen table, but nothing extreme (and nothing a wood marker couldn't take care of). The vast majority of my furniture (including my beloved bookcases) made it in excellent condition. TLDR; I couldn't recommend GS Moving Solutions enough! They were easy to work with and did a wonderful job moving me across state lines.

They moved me from a townhouse in Williamsburg, VA to a larger, standalone home in Richmond, VA. In between, we stopped off at a 10 ft x 10 ft storage unit to pick up more stuff. Apparently, there was some miscommunication between the sales guy & the moving team because their piece of paper did not mention going to a storage unit. However, they took it in stride and told me we'd still go if that was what I discussed beforehand. Will was the foreman, and he was great! I could see his experience as he directed his guys with how to move bulkier pieces of furniture. The team wrapped & padded all of the furniture well & were responsive to my requests when I asked them to move something to a different part of the new house. Considering I was with them all day (10 am to 9 pm), they remained patient. I took off one star because they lost the power cord to one of my TVs. Luckily, it was a universal cord. I went out & bought another one & they reimbursed me. Mistakes happen, and they were apologetic about the mishap. The price was fair. I received three quotes, and their price ended up being around the same amount as the others. I chose Mover Dudes because they were great in answering all of my questions and quick to respond throughout the process.

I received a prompt response to my Yelp Inquiry, and was able to work out an estimate. The day of my move my husband had gone out of his way to make every aspect of the move difficult. He had been living in the house for 5 months tearing it up with trash everywhere, letting the cats urinate on the floors... it was filthy. The cherry on his revenge sundae was keeping the a/c off the entire time. So it was a hot box of horrible. The movers who came out assured me everything would be taken care of, and they did it. They worked in the 80+ degree temps, with the amonia smell for several hours without complaint. Our troubles unfortunately didn't end their. When we got to the storage shed, they found a baby cotton mouth inside. Just my luck! They still took it in stride, with help from my dad the snake was removed and my furniture got stored safely and efficiently in my container. Thank you so much for being their for me and helping me with my move. Recommended A++!

I had an extremely frustrating experience with this moving company and would not recommend them. I…read moredon't understand how they can possibly have their current level of Google reviews. Do not trust these reviews. From the start, the crew was clearly unprepared, untrained, and poorly equipped. One mover was injured within the first 10 minutes, and there was no first aid kit available. He didn't even have work gloves and I had to give him a pair of mine just so he could continue working. Which I had to let him keep given the was bleeding inside of them. A major issue was the amount of time wasted. Nearly 3 hours were spent wrapping every single item imaginable, including inexpensive things that didn't need that level of care. None of this was communicated ahead of time, and at $180/hour, it dramatically inflated the final cost. Meanwhile, crew members were scrolling on their phones, vaping, and sitting around listening to music in my empty bedroom. Crew members also used my restroom in both of my houses and left a mess behind each time that I had to clean. Even worse, many of my items arrived scratched, chipped, or dented. There was visible damage to my home on walls, railings, and fixtures. The crew handled furniture carelessly, often moving heavy items by themselves without any teamwork and hitting everything along the way. They also began unwrapping by belongings before even unloading them off the truck. This made the wrapping I just paid $180 an hour for feel like a total waste of time because now my belongings and my new house are taking the full force of their carelessness. I emailed Cavalier the next day and expressed so if this to them. The claims team called and told me they would send forms for damages and service feedback. It has now been over a week, and I've received nothing. The only follow-up I've gotten is a marketing text message asking me to refer them to friends and family, which honestly feels insulting and completely inappropriate given the situation. Overall, I paid far more than estimated for poor service and damaged property. This experience did not reflect the level of professionalism the company advertises. I blame Cavalier for charging clients prices that make you expect seasoned professionals and instead they send you kids that they have not bothered to train one bit. I have absolutely nothing positive to say about this experience. DO NOT USE THEM.
