Our company hired Heroes to move our office and storage unit from Glen Allen to Shockoe Bottom this weekend. Corey and Lori were very helpful throughout the entire process from our first walkthrough of the office to assess how much truck space we'd need, getting me quotes in a timely manner, to planning flexible dates for our weekend move. Knowing how crazy traffic can be in Shockoe Bottom, Corey also took it upon himself to contact the city to register no parking signs in front of our office, and coordinated with RPD to make sure a couple of illegally parked cars were removed when we arrived. Sorry (not sorry) if that was your car, but the signs had been up for 2 days! The actual moving team of three guys (Gary, Clinton and Kevin I believe) did a great job despite weather in the mid-90's and an elevator that couldn't accommodate all of our furniture. They moved our massive boardroom table up 4 flights of stairs quickly, safely and without any damage. Everyone had a great attitude throughout our 8-hour long move, all while helping disassemble, reassemble and put our new office together in a flash. We had a complex situation involving a delayed closing requiring storage of items to be moved, a large move with LOTS of heirlooms that we wouldn't trust most people with, and we were located in the Hampton Roads moving into Richmond area. We had the greatest team of four professionals move us out, store our items, and then get us into new home as soon as we were able to close. We have almost finished unpacking and NOTHING was broken! The team was so polite and worked really well together. We appreciated how much care they took in handling our belongings, as well as how they moved through houses so as not to damage walls or floors. I contacted multiple local and non-local companies for a tricky upstairs safe move. One guy self proclaimed himself best in town, and then told me it wasn't possible to move my safe. I got a hold of Heroes Moving and Storage and they accepted the job. I was still skeptical after the other companies told me it wasn't possible. After scheduling with Heroes I received phone calls emails and text messages confirming appointment times and quotes and also eta. The gentlemen arrived promptly and professional. They took their time in implementing a plan for the move and then executing it. They made the job look so simple it's as if the safe floated up the narrow staircase. I needed help moving furniture from a storage container to my new home. The scheduling and reserving a time was very efficient and helpful. Communication was consistent to keep me informed of the crews time of arrival. The crew did an excellent job of asking questions and making sure they understood my expectations and requirements. Then, the crew worked very efficiently and effectively moving the furniture in, taking care not to cause any damage, and being flexible and patient with changes. I had a move where things had to go to 3 different places but the guys, William and Derrick, did it effortlessly. One of the things moved was a grandfather's clock and they knew exactly what to do with the weights and other parts. The guys did an excellent job and were extremely personable. Usually when I move I cringe over something being moved but I never had that feeling with any of the furniture they moved. Nothing was damaged and they were very professional, extremely courteous, and very friendly. I would highly recommend them. They know what they are doing; they don't move room by room out -they pack your belongings safely and securely in the truck; they are professional, courteous, friendly, and intense about the end goal....
