I hired two helpers to help me load my truck. They were supposed to be here between 9-10am. It is 11:50am, they have not shown up. They have not contacted me. It has been impossible to reach them, and both I and Hire A Helper have tried. read more

Tony and Greg were amazing! I'm so grateful I hired them to help me move. This was my first time hiring professional movers to help me move things and I'm glad I went with them! I was intimidated by all the things I was moving and they made this process a breeze. As soon as I finished booking them online, Tony messaged me to ask for more details on the move. The next day they showed up at my storage unit on time. I was a little late and they still worked the two hours I hired them for. They were very kind and flexible. I was moving a storage unit that I inherited to a basement storage space. They worked quick and even helped me throw away the heavier items I couldn't lift into the trash. I hired them for two hours for a 10x10 storage space that was packed. I appreciated the affordable price and great service. Greg even went the extra step to help me reorganize the new space. I would hire them again for future moves. read more

We were looking for last-minute movers on our way to downtown Richmond from NOVA. We called short-notice and they were very flexible and arrived as soon as we got to the apartment ourselves. I was very impressed that they were open to help us move within an hour or so of calling them no problem. Wayne, who I believe is the owner, was especially professional. But both movers were excellent, efficient, and careful with our furniture/belongings. I usually don't leave reviews all that often, but I was so impressed with these guys I saw it necessary to leave one. If you need movers, these are the guys for the job. read more

I cannot recommend Wayne and his team enough. He commmunicated with me every step of the way, had very reasonable prices, his team was very professional and worked hard. They were careful with my things, made sure everything was set up and placed where I needed things to be. read more

Excellent Movers. Affordable, responsible, and very careful with our belongings. Highly recommended.

Wayne and his crew did a great job. They were flexible and understanding with a few hiccups on our end which we also appreciated. We couldn't have asked for a more professional and friendly company. Thanks! read more

Competitive pricing for the delivery of a baby grand piano to Williamsburg, Virginia. Team was on time and worked hard to get the piano reassembled and in good working order. Team lead even took the time to teach my daughter a few notes before departing. I would definitely recommend this company. read more

This moving company was very reasonable and very polite. They did a wonderful job and I will definitely get them again if I need movers in the future. read more

Very responsive, courteous, careful, professional, speedy, fair. Never had better movers.

I hired On The Go Moving for our local Richmond move this week. The guys showed up on time and were friendly. They worked very hard loading up from our 3rd story apartment with no elevator, and made good time. I chose to move all my own electronics (TV etc) before move day, which I always recommend since those are difficult to secure in a truck. I have noticed some small scuffs on furniture, but that's part of moving unless you're willing to pay a bunch. I believe U-Haul left out blankets that were supposed to included. Overall, On The Go was a good value for me. Tip: label all boxes and furniture clearly, it will make move day go much better for everyone. read more

Excellent service! I called needing moving help the very next day (on a Sunday) and was very impressed to be scheduled no problem. The moving team was great and professional, they arrived as scheduled and a move that would have taken us all day was done in a couple of hours. I would highly recommend and would use On The Go Moving again. read more

Wayne and his partner (whose name escapes me) were fast, careful, and great about setting up my furniture where I asked them to when we got to the new location. Would definitely use again, and absolutely recommend their services. read more

These guys were great! They showed up on time (actually about 10 minutes early)!) and got all the furniture for a 3br 2 story house unloaded from a pod in about 2 hours without damaging anything. Wayne was really great at scheduling beforehand, so I knew exactly what to expect. I'd work with these guys again in a heartbeat. read more

Quick response to initial inquiry, showed up on time, courteous and professional. Very pleased, would highly recommend.

Wayne was very accommodating and very flexible. We called him one afternoon and he responded positively while assuring us that he will be able to help no matter what. So when our moving cubes came and we needed help to unload our stuff, we called him and him and his crew arrived right away. We barely left a finger! Their help is one of the best things we have spent on during our move. Thank you so much! Until our next move! read more

0 stars. was told by Tony they would accomodate my move and would receive an invoice. never received the invoice and they never answered my calls again. Im actually paraplegic and was in need of the service. read more

I contacted this company only 2 days before my move. Spoke with a manager Wayne who said they could accommodate my move, they'd show up between 10:30-11am, and that it'd take no more than 5 hours and sent me the invoice right away. To be transparent, every moving company I contacted said they were available for my move, but this company was the cheapest so I went with them. Was told they'd be there at about 10:30-11am, but the first person got there at 2pm after I reached out to them 20-30 min after 11am. Also, he asked on the phone if I would need help breaking down furniture and I said yes, but me and a friend ended up doing it while they loaded up the truck. From there, everything was loaded, transported, and unloaded in my storage unit by 5pm exactly, only taking 3 hours. When I asked why I was still charged for 5 hours instead of the 3 that it took and if it's something that's fixed later, Wayne informed me that they do not "refund unused hours". He also stated that they decided to instead bring in an extra guy to be able to make their next job, so I was still charged for 5 hours of labor but that one hard working person apparently shaved off 2 hours for the other 2 workers. After packing and breaking down furniture all morning it was really nice having a team to do the loading and unloading. Although I probably won't be using a moving company again, I would recommend them if you have over 5 hours worth of loading and unloading. read more

We hired Wayne and his crew with him knowing that we were on Fort Lee, so he would need helpers that could get on post. The day of our appointment, he arrived with 2 other guys that could not get on post so we had to reschedule to the next day. The next day it was raining and we were delayed again because Wayne forgot his ID and could not get on post again. When him and his cousin finally got to work 2 hours later, we were under a time crunch due to the delay and rain, but they did not move efficiently at all. He said he would bring blankets to cover furniture in, but only used the blankets for traction on the ramp for the truck. I even offered moving blankets that we had for them to use and they just sat there. They ended up not being able to get every thing in the truck so they would make another trip. We got to the new house and my husband ended up having to help them get everything because they were moving so slowly and leaving a lot of our furniture in the rain. When they were finally done, my husband asked about the rest of our stuff at the old house and Wayne said that we would have to pay for another day, truck rental, and gas for them to go get it. We ended up having to make 3 more trips with our truck and elicit help from neighbors to get the remaining furniture! We only had them move furniture, not even any boxes or little things, and they filled the largest UHaul truck! How?? I was assured that Wayne and one other guy would be all they would need to move everything even though he never asked me about the details of what we are having moved, clearly 2 guys was not enough. I was even assured that they would disassemble furniture and reassemble it, but I ended up having to disassemble things for them and we had to reassemble everything ourselves. After finally moving everything out of our garage where they piled most of our furniture, we discovered a lot of damages because nothing was covered, everything was crammed into the truck, and some things were dragged on the floor of the truck. I contacted Wayne and he was supposed to get back to me, I contacted him again and never heard anything back. We thought this would be as easy move, but it was almost more stressful than if we had just done it ourselves. I really wish I could recommend this moving company, but after our experience I just can't. read more
