Wow! From my first phone call until the process was over, this company was amazing!! The owner came out to meet me, take pictures and look at the space. He was so friendly and professional!! He made sure I knew what the process was and made things so clear. He was open to me asking any questions, and he did it all with a smile. Even though it was a mask on, lol, I could tell it was a smile behind that mask!! When his team came out to move us, and it was no little job, they were so nice, understanding of what our needs were, and they were very careful with all of our belongings. I am livid and didn't really want to write a bad review but the camels back collapsed. I used Quality Moving and Storage back in January 2021 for a move from my house in Midlothian to an apartment in Midlothian, Va. We called quality and spoke with Mr. Tucker, got a quote and my husband and he had a conversation about his family, tracing back his roots, running a business etc. Based on the conversation and reading some of the positive reviews we were pretty confident that things would be great. Fast forward to move day, the guys showed up to complete the move and things started off well. After about 2 hours the head packer seemed to keep getting phone calls, which later we found out he had some drama with his kids mother. The rest of the day he was on the phone arguing with her. He kept working so we let it slide. Trying to be helpful i bought them lunch so they could take a break but continue working. We had the apartment and 2 storage units. Most of the stuff went into storage. I was not put there for that part as I was trying to unpack the apartment stuff. They did finish quicker than anticipated so we give them a pretty substantial tip. A couple days later we went to look for some things that should have been in the apartment but were not so we went to the storage unit to get them and realized it was jam packed all the way to the door and you could not get in there. Was pretty annoyed but again let it slide. Fast forward to July 2023, the house we were building was finally done. Decided not to use them again based on the last move experience. When we got to the jam packed storage unit and started taking things out we discovered a lot of our items were broken. They had stacked heavy boxes and things on top of a glass table desk, shattered the entire glass. Damaged frames on mirrors, the edges of some tables and nightstands and the thing that really prompted me to write a review is they dropped and cracked a brand new green egg grill. It was cracked so bad it could not be used, could not be repaired and had to be thrown away. I saved for months to get that grill for my husband for Father's Day and hadn't even had the chance to use. The worst part is that I think they knew cause they covered it up and set it back in the stand as though everything was fine. I know its been over a year so doubt there is any recourse from the company, but I could not let this go. read more

I have never used a moving company before and I have moved several times. Moving is super stressful and it IS HARD WORK. I decided to use a company this time. I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly my move went. They informed me they are not packers, they are MOVERS. So that's what they do...MOVE ITEMS. I packed my house up and was ready. They were organized and moved so quickly getting the truck loaded and to the next destination. The offloading was just as quick. I was having trouble keeping up and telling them what boxes went where! They took great care of my items and worked hard on one of the hottest days of the year! Hugo, Larry, and Brandon(?) did a great job in moving my Mother from Colonial Beach to Richmond. They arrived in a timely manner, were very courteous and professional, worked their butts off, and were flexible with the schedule changes. I was impressed. I was also amazed how they were able to cram all my Mom's stuff into that truck!! Two days later they quickly unloaded the truck and assembled the furniture. The team was great. Additionally, The cost for moving everything in Mom's house was very reasonable and worth it. As can be expected in every move, one furniture piece was slightly damaged. The company was quick to have it professionally repaired and delivered. Not a problem!! Btw: this is the second time we have used Quality Moving. Oh my God what a wonderful experience!! I had originally scheduled with Mid-Atlantic and after waiting and extended the time they came the driver went out in the parking lot was arguing with his supervisor and they left.! Can you believe this was at 4 on a Saturday afternoon exclamation point I called mr. Tucker and he sent the most professional crew over they were prompt it were courteous and in less than an hour to have my one bedroom apartment on the truck! They were courteous and professional and had the tools to do the job! Kudos to a job well done! The difference between Mid-Atlantic and quality movers is like night and day! Just moved sept 1 rainy day Quality movers was awesome they came in with great attitudes and prepared with equipment for whatever items that needed to be moved wrapped or covered. I was completely moved in 1.5hrs. I would advise to have majority of your items boxed and ready for easy and quicker move. I would truly recommend. Thanks guys for an awesome move. Very concerned about the driver's of this company We we're driving to Norfolk on 06-23-2018 and we were driving on 460 east and came upon a truck of theirs The driver was in the left lane, drifting into the other lane many times, almost hit us twice and several other cars as well The driver simply was not paying attention, even when cars honked at him Also not paying attention to the speed limit I feel bad for the other workers of this company who do a good job, because this incompetent driver makes me not want to do business with them if they drive like this Very unfortunate read more

If I could rate negative stars I would. This company is the definition of DISHONEST and UNREPUTABLE!!!!! This company was hired by my school to pack up our dorms do to COVID and most of my stuff was broken and damaged. The "movers" stole my new JBL speaker and trashed all of my posters. (I guess they like music as much as I do) Besides this, the rest of my belongings were haphazardly thrown into random boxes with no regard for the placement (imagine the bagger at the supermarket throwing canned soup on top of the eggs and then backing over the bag with his car :( ). A freaking toddler would have done a better job packing my stuff than Quality Moving Service! Save yourself the money and the headache. When you don't call back after a week of a detailed request you are not dependable.

I was able to use their services on December 18, 2018 to move my belongings from my storage unit into my new apartment. The office staff of Quality is absolutely awesome. They were very responsive and attentive. They were able to answer all of my questions. The free quote they sent me was right on target with what I actually paid. Brandon and Troy helped me the day of the move. They were nice, but they had some serious issues with each other. As they worked, they became more and more vocal about their dislike for each other. One would bad mouth the other when he was not in the room. Once we got to the new apartment, Brandon helped with some of the heavier items and then disappeared. He made Troy handle moving all of the boxes and other items by himself. Meanwhile, Brandon was on the truck sweeping and folding blankets. When it was time for me to pay, Brandon called the office and they were delayed in answering the phone. He began to bad mouth the ladies in the office. The only reason he stopped was because they were on speaker and I mentioned that they were listening and waiting for him to speak. Troy was obviously frustrated and Brandon was a poor crew leader. If it were not for the ladies in the office, I would have given this company only one star. I cannot in good conscious recommend this company to anyone, especially if they will have to deal with Brandon. I am greatly appreciative of all that the office staff did to help me. However, the unprofessional conduct and poor team work from Brandon and Troy made the move uncomfortable and unpleasant. Brandon even went to far as to tell me about misconduct on Troy's part on another job and how he had to be given a verbal warning. As the customer, I should never have known they had issues with one another. To make matters worse, this review is a copy and paste of the email I sent to the owner. It has been over a month and I have not received a response at all. He promptly returned my call a few hours later and repeatedly apologized for the delay. He set up an appointment to meet with my family and I today. Mr Tucker arrived at our meeting and was extremely professional. We had a real conversation and he listened to our concerns. He was very personable and friendly. He definitely won us over with his professionalism and made the situation RIGHT. For that we are thankful. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY unless you want your furniture scratched, and broken. Owner is as bad as the employees, and when you complain, he tries to intimidate you. They didn't even complete their task, my husband had to finish putting the beds together, because it took so long for them to pack and move the furniture. Tracked oil in on carpet, several pieces of furniture damaged. Office manager and owner refused to pay for damages. Terrible company to deal with! read more

We used Quality for a 2-part move in early 2016 - my fiance and I were moving into our first apartment together and needed them to move us both out of our separate places. They could not have been easier to work with! They packed up my fiance's things from his place, then came to my place to pack up mine in what seemed like record time. We made sure all of our items were packed up and gathered in the same room ahead of time to make things easier for them. They then moved all of our items into our new, shared space a few miles away. We were moving into a Fan apartment with the requisite tiny doorway and stairwell, so of course my couch didn't exactly fit in the doorway. They took great care to get the couch through the door and up the stairs. Overall, Quality was super communicative, easy to work with, and easy on our wallets. Do not use these movers. I was moving about 3 blocks and it took them TWICE as long to move as estimated, and of course they charged me more. They chipped every piece of wood furniture I have and broke several things. They also tried to refuse to bring things up to the second floor bedroom even though I told them upfront that it was two floors. read more

I am a small local business so I purposely used this local moving service 2 times, for the same job, 3 years ago and was satisfied with their customer service and moving services. At the time, they seemed to appreciate my business! They returned my call, came out to the site and gave me an hourly price. They did a good job moving me (outside of arriving later than we had agreed upon). The first day I included the tip for the movers in my check to the business. The second time, the movers asked that I tip them directly to ensure payment. However, this time, the owner, Mr. Tucker could not even bother to return any of my 3 calls, but on the 4th call, the receptionist apologized and told me that she had given him the messages. After I told her I would not use their moving services again, if they couldn't even bother to return my calls, she called me back directly to inform me that Mr. Tucker was very, very busy with government jobs. In fact, he was too busy and too booked to even bother touching base. I guess when you work for the government, you don't need more business or care about customer service! Perhaps Mr. Tucker should let potential customers know, on his "about" link, that he is now only offering services to the government! read more
