Chanelle showed us some awesome tile and advised we visit DalTile and Esmer for samples. While at the Utah Design Center, we also got excited about lighting because of the various displays about the store. We asked Chanelle about various lighting options. We also asked Chanelle if the Utah Design Center offers general design consultancy. She said yes, they offer by-the-hour consultancy services - very cool! When we got home, we talked about the myriad of options and decided we really do want professional assistance to help establish a cohesive vision across textures, colors, shapes, designs, etc. So, I called the Utah Design Center, spoke with the receptionist, and asked for Chanelle. I left a voice message. A couple days later, I hadn't heard anything, so called again. I spoke with the receptionist, asked for Chanelle, and left a voice message. We never received a return phone call. I don't mind calling a second time when my first call is not returned, but there will not be a third. I have to say, there is no excuse to not return phone calls, let alone two. I mean, isn't this where it all starts? They described a parque floor with herringbone edges as "easy". It easily quadrupled the time to install the floor and the over all result has some issues. It was not manipulative, it was just poor advice for novice floor install. They ended up selling us *less* wood than they would have because one quarter of the patten used wood we already owned. They are honest and have good prices. However their advice is not for novices. In they should enquire if the costumer has experience before recommending expert level floor patterns.

This company is working on the apartment complex that I live in. Back at the end of May, one of the…read moreboards from their scaffolding fell onto my car and wrecked the hood of my car. Our leasing office gave me the contact information for Paul who is the guy in charge of the project. I gave him a call and discussed what happened and he wanted photos. I sent them to him and he said he submitted them to a repair shop. I hadn't heard back in a little bit so I followed up and he never responded. Then, signs appeared on the scaffolding saying that the company wasn't responsible for any damage caused to vehicles. Paul has yet to respond to me since his initial request for the photos and informing me he submitted the photos and it's almost been a month since this happened.
