On the home page of Renewal by Andersen/Austin's website it says, "Our excellence in service and product quality set us apart from other window replacement companies. " Ha! It also says, "Most dealer installations take 5 minutes per window, making installation quick and seamless during any kind of weather." Ha! We ordered six windows in Oct 2019. Paid half down at that time. The windows were supposed to be installed in mid-December. They arrived in January. Unfortunately, they did NOT FIT. Every window was an inch too small. Also, in removing the old windows, they damaged them such that the new, too-small windows had to remain in place. They had to fill in around the edges with some kind of foam to a) keep them in place and b) make sure they didn't leak in the interim. In addition, they didn't put down any plastic/paper on my floors and made a mess. To top it off, one of the men who came to do the installation that day had some type of stomach flu. He made five trips to our bathroom that day - each time spending quite a bit of time in there. My husband caught the guy's stomach flu! OK - so they re-measured the windows and returned in February to install the correct windows. Problem: Only ONE of the new windows was the correct model. The others were all a less expensive model/type! Now they say they'll be back in March to once again install the windows. I've requested a discount due to the inconvenience, length of time, and absolute unprofessional manner in which this purchase and installation has been handled. So far, they are refusing any discount. I expected more from a company which is supposed to be the premiere window provider in the nation. Next time I'll go with Pella. read more

While the windows they install are ok--they are smaller than your original windows, their customer service is a nightmare. They will take (a lot of) your money and then ignore you. For the high prices they pay, one expects better customer service. One of the windows they installed failed and at first they kept trying to tell me that the air pressure in some rooms is different , etc. which doesn't explain why a window 2 inches from the bad one had no issues. They sent a tech out who caulked a bit more. He told me I would have a response in a week or so (about the second week in December). The next day the window failed again, I texted the tech and got no response. I have gone on their website several times to enter a warranty request... it is February and still no response. Bottom line: there are cheaper companies out there with just as nice a product. If customer service is at all important to you, don't waste your money with this company. It's sad that a company with a 'good' reputation like Andersen ignores their customers. read more

I had Renewal By Andersen replace the windows in my home a couple years ago. I love my new windows, and I think they are worth what I paid for them, with the exception of the one that doesn't work properly. And it never has. But that's okay! They are willing to repair it under warranty. The problem is, no one seems to be able to figure out how to do that. I've had literally 6-7 repair visits for this window, and it isn't fixed yet. There's a cycle: 1. Someone comes to look at it, and determines that the window needs new balancers. 2. Someone else comes to measure for new balancers. 3. The balancers are ordered and eventually arrive. 4. I make another appointment to have them installed, and make plans to sit at my house for a few hours that day, in addition to the appointments I've already had. 5. The technician tries to install the balancers, and figures out that they are the wrong size. I've now been through two complete cycles, and I'm getting ready to start a third. After step 5, apparently there is no system that makes Renewal By Andersen proactively figure out what went wrong. The ticket gets closed in their system. So I call back, say I need another appointment, and wait for someone to call me. I'm currently a week into the "waiting for someone to call me" step. I don't really have hope that the next cycle will result in a different outcome, because there is clearly something off about the window that's creating the mismeausrement multiple times. So this is me waving the white flag. Calling them on the phone isn't working. I told the whole story to the last person who answered the phone, and she seemed really concerned, and said someone would call me, but no one did. I need someone in management who can analyze this and figure out what's going wrong. read more

Nothing says amazing service like having a door to door sales person disturb you at 7pm on a Friday!! So if you are looking for the prices of this company they are over at least $8,000 for windows. They will try to sale you on Free Installation but installation is already completely free. The windows take over 25 years to get the 'full' energy savings. You automatically get 5% OFF no matter what for an estimate. The estimate technician can give you more than a 25% discount if you nudge them, they are trying to see how much you are willing to pay. Besides being totally overpriced, there are no needs for windows this expensive. They target people with older homes who want to add value, but that family will never have that value added in their lifetime due to price. The company is built on commission and greed. They try to buy people's reviews and ask them to change them. Be careful with deceitful business practices. read more

Renewal by Andersen is an amazing service to replace your windows. Not only do they explain thoroughly, but the superiority of the product is made very clear--not with opinions but with provable facts. Ulises Rodriguez, the project consultant, presented us with hands-on examples and real pictures to exemplify what we can expect. Honestly, I was doubtful because the phone appointment to set up the call was high pressure and a bit intrusive. Ulises made all of that fade. He was fast but efficient. Our home appointment could not have been a more positive experience. read more

We had theses windows installed about a year and a half ago. Have had some issues both in the winter and now in the spring. Not efficient at all. Frost forms on them in the winter and now trying to open them this spring, we can't get some of them to open. The material is loose on some of the windows. Would not recommend this product. We supposedly had one of the best installers. Not to our expectations. We had junk before but were expecting a better quality of window. read more

First of all, the gentleman that showed up at my door was very nice, and pleasant, and on a hot day, said I was the first person that was interested in an appointment all day. I just happened to be actively searching for windows, because I have one quote in hand, and he just happened to show up. However, I was extremely disturbed by the manner in which your company does business, and upon telling my story received many gasps and stares of disbelief, by my husband, my mother, and many friends and family members. I requested an appointment to discuss windows. I was told that your company wants both homeowners home, by the appointment setter, and the gentleman that was at my door. I am the homeowner. I own my home. It is in my name. My husband is my partner, but respects my decisions, and has zero interest in giving two hours of his evening to discuss windows. He doesn't care which windows I pick. I will not make him waste his evening for something that is not important to him. I simply said that wasn't how our family works, and you do not need to speak to my husband, I own my home, and if you want to sell windows to me, you will set an appointment for me, THE homeowner and the woman of the house, and they wouldn't set an appointment. I just wanted to see what y'all would say at this point. Can you imagine how I felt? I was talked down to as a woman, THE homeowner, because my husband wasn't home. This is my home. This is my choice. And I am disgusted and in shock with the manner in which your company does business, and speaks to the woman of the house, that makes multiple decisions for her family on a daily basis. Yes, alone. I hope that you change the way that you talk to your customers, and trust the customer, and every representative is reminded that this is 2014, not 1954. Thanksgiving week 2014, I had some time off. I invited 5 window firms to come, look, share info, and quote. Sadly by far, the worst experience I had was from RENEWAL BY ANDERSON. Two other firms had the nicer reps, better information, individual quoting per window, and MUCH BETTER pricing. The windows are very well made, no doubt. But not everyone wants a high end Mercedes when a Toyota is more appropriate for the situation. REGARDLESS... for 10 windows and a sliding door, the quote was $26,000. Not a mistake, $26,000. Out of the 5 firms I had, the other 4 ranged from $6,500 to $11,000. The rep used the tactic.."If you buy by tomorrow morning, I can take an additional 7% off. Folks, NEVER FALL for that tactic. Never. A tip.. for anyone EVER giving you a quote, tell them you want the same lower price for 30 days, or they can leave now. Also, they are trying to squeeze you into a decision that night.. when you have emotionally invested 2 hours or so into the product demo. Yes, it is about wearing you out for a decision in their favor. How most home improvement firms(gutters, roofing) work when presented this way is that the cost of the job for the company is usually about 1/2. Anything above cost is profit. Companies will "usually" split the profit over the job cost 50/50 with the selling rep. Soooo.... there is A LOT on line for that rep.. hence the high pressure tactics they employ when invited into your home. There was probably a minimum of a $10,000 profit on this job quote. Especially when compared to the 4 other company product quotes. Firms that are owner operated in general do not price this way, but ones that use field reps usually do. Unfortunately the rep was one of the most arrogant of any I ever had in my house for any item. His name was Todd. He actually challenged me during his presentation and said.."Wow, you are really standoffish." LOL.. Just because I was not buying into his 2+hour talk and presentation and saying "yes ,,, yes,,, yes.. every time he wanted me to. Clue and Tip.. insulting a possible client will not equate to ever having a better revenue stream. Just last month a couple of Renewal reps came canvasing door to door. They were pleasant and friendly, but I told them about my experience, thanked them for saying hello, and let them travel on. In closing, these are good windows for sure, especially if you have money to literally "throw out(or at) the window." There are people who pride themselves on how much they spend, and will only buy the "perceived best". If you are one of those folks, by all means give RENEWAL a call, again I am not faulting the product.... just the rep and pricing. However, I for one, will pass on this Mercedes line. read more

I would agree with the other reviewer that you should beware of their salesmen. I've never stopped by their showroom, but I get the impression that they are a lean organization and most of their people work on their own. The salesman will tell you what you want to hear. We had a previous horrible experience with Pella and directly asked our salesmen, "Do you use subcontractors?" He told us directly that the installers are their employees on their payroll. Not true. We realized that when they showed up to do the install. On the plus side, the subcontractors did a really good job on the installation and finishing work (don't even get me started on the mess Pella left). They even had the Andersen painter come by afterward and do all the paint on the trim they had to build out. All was flawless. The downside, the installers left a big mess behind where each window was installed. Lots of debris, etc, much of which could have been minimized by laying down tarps or covers. When I brought this up to Andersen they said there's not much they could do and if I wanted any sort of credit I would have to work it out with the sub contractor. I was hoping to not haggle with subcontractors, that's why I paid the premium, so I thought. On a follow-up appointment to install the handles, the installer did not show up. I had to call back and had Scott, their production manager, come finish the job. He was very nice (also the person who initially measured the windows). All in all, they are a great product, the installation was done very well, but beware of the service and know that you are working with subcontractors, but I guess everyone does. If you can, be there when they install to make sure they are moving/covering furniture and minimizing the mess left behind. read more

I agree! If there were negative stars I would also use that rating system. Here is why! This business needs to NOT drop off 4 sales people in neighborhoods, only to have them sit together on the curb for hours, then go door-to-door and say they are NOT selling anything. Are they a charity? I don't think so. I have a no soliciting sign very clearly posted on my front door, but they still knocked and still said they weren't selling anything. Please! This is a very poor sales method. Correct your selling tactic and also train your people to tell the truth and teach them how to read and comprehend what a "no soliciting" sign means. In case the management doesn't know: it means do NOT knock or ring my door bell. I do NOT participate in door-to-door sales. I call the vendor I need when I'm ready to purchase. read more

We had Renewal by Anderson replace a few windows in our older house. It took a couple of visits to fix what was improperly installed, including using split and damaged boards, not fully driving in nails, and not sealing all sides of the windows. I was told that if we gave them a five-star review on their internal customer satisfaction survey, they'd return to fix the issues. I did just that. Afterwards, I noticed that one of the grilles was cracked. I just let it go. All the people I spoke with at Anderson were very friendly. It just felt like a rushed job. Considering what we paid (it wasn't cheap) and what we received for our money, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone needing replacement windows. read more

I had a great experience with Andersen. It's true, the salesman gave us the hard sell, and their windows are the most expensive on the market. But they're very upfront about that, and really, you get what you pay for. Our installation team was great, very friendly and efficient, and the windows are beautiful. There's no way we could afford to replace all of our windows at once, but they locked in the price for two years, so we have some time. Their windows are made with a custom product that's available nowhere else - their closest competitor, Pella, uses a much more inferior material. These windows are amazing, and will serve us well with the summer heat. I just wish we could afford to replace them all right away! I think with something like new windows, you should get the best that's out there. It's such a big project, what's another few hundred dollars for a much better product? read more

These are hands-down the best windows you can buy. They are also the most expensive though. But you get what you pay for. The windows look great, and there is no way in hell a draft is coming through them. If you want the most energy efficient windows money can buy, go get some Anderson Windows. Now, that above sounds like a 5 star review.. but I had to dock a star for their customer service. I am sorry, but I left multiple messages asking them to call me back so I could schedule a time for the inspector to come by and pass the windows. After the third time I called, I finally got an appointment. Once I was on the phone with them they were great. Very pleasant and nice. But, it's just getting them on the phone to begin with that seems to be difficult. To keep this short I will end by saying this: The only thing you know for sure that will be absolutely PERFECT are the windows themselves. These windows will be the best you have ever owned, without a doubt. Pros: The Best Windows Money Can Buy, Installation was Quick and Painless, Salesman was Nice Cons: It's a Struggle to Get Them to Call You Back, Very Expensive read more

Do business with Renewal by Anderson if you want the absolute worst service in the entire world. The response to my initial call was fine and the young man who came out to do the measurements was fine. However, once the installation date was set and the time was given to me, everything went down the toilet. I have now spent NINE hours waiting for the installation team to show up at my house. When I sent a text message saying where are the guys for installation, I was told that I was given the wrong time. Instead of 8:00 to 10:00 am my new arrival time was now 1:00 to 2:00. At 3:00 I sent multiple text messages asking for help and the current status. NOTHING. No response, no telephone call, no nothing. Then I call Customer Service and the Installation Center phone numbers and no one answers the phone after the phone rings for EIGHT straight minutes. I am still sitting here waiting. Do yourself a big favor, do NOT USE Renewal by Anderson. They should be named Misery by Anderson. read more

I can't complain about the windows themselves, but the process was terrible. It would have been bad at Home Depot prices, but at Renewal by Andersen prices, it was borderline criminal. I was planning to gradually replace all of my windows but I don't think I have the fortitude to go through this again. The core problem is that every step in this process comes with a different team of people. There's no one overseeing or giving a crap about your project end-to-end. First there's a "design consultant" who said he wasn't a salesman and would be my go-to for everything, including being on site on installation day. Psych, I haven't seen him since he took my deposit check. Then someone else came just to measure things to 1/16 of an inch. The precise measurements turned out to be a farce because the installers put two of the windows into the wrong holes. (They were nice guys who worked hard, and I mostly blame Andersen for not providing enough information or a project manager to oversee things.) The installers also left a bit of a mess (glass and debris all over my house/yard and the neighbors'), which again would have been mitigated if Andersen had sent anyone who cared about the big picture. There's nothing I hate more than nagging contractors about details, and at Andersen prices, I shouldn't have to. Finally, a whole separate team of people had to do the mortar (which no one told me was going to be yet another step). My mortar people were awesome -- super nice, did a great job, and included a badass lady mortaress. However, no one spoke English, and after my "wrong windows wrong place" experience, any further communication obstacles made me really nervous. We managed thanks to my high school Spanish teachers and no thanks to Renewal by Andersen. At every stage in this process, I had only the vaguest notions of what time folks would arrive and absolutely no idea how long it would take (the installation was an *entire day* even though it was just 5 windows). Andersen did offer to swap the windows they got wrong, but I didn't care enough to put myself through another day of installation and delay the completion even further. read more

This review is simply for the quote process and the salesman who came to my house, Ryan. We did not choose to install windows at this time because it's just too much of an expense. Ryan was a fantastic salesman. My husband and I did not want a hard sell and made that clear when setting the appointment. We didn't get one. Ryan came by, measured our windows, took us through the catalog and then did a fantastic demonstration of the windows, how they function and all of their features. I love them and want them... but not here and not now. Ultimately, these are the windows I want to own. They were just out of our price range. But I must tell you, I was completely sold. Ryan came in and let the product speak for itself. He was super patient with all of our questions. He was honest about how the pricing works (same day discounts, etc.) but did not make us feel uncomfortable or bad about not making the choice that day. Even when I advised him that we weren't ready, he was very gracious which means... when I am ready, I will reach out to him. read more

One month later we are still living with the negative impact of what Andersen's workers did. Pros: -Beautiful windows -Andersen reimbursed me $400 for the damages their workers caused -Sent someone to fix the horrible work their first team did. -Sent someone after their team was a no show -Scheduler Susan was amazing -Colt Site Manager was responsive Cons: -Glass EVERYWHERE! My wife stepped into the shower and unknowingly stepped onto glass. She collected 20 pieces. Then she cut herself getting into bed. There were shards all over our comforter and pillows. I have cut myself twice now stepping on random pieces of glass. There is glass all in our yard and in the grass. -Several shards melted into and destroyed multiple of my belongings. -Caulking looked like an amateur did it. They smeared it with their fingers and left black fingerprints on the wall, molding and THE NEW WINDOWS. -Chipped and gouged wood molding -Workers were a no show. Then text us lying to us saying they showed up but didn't knock because they "didn't want to bother us". -Installed window wrong and had to be fixed -THIS ONE MAKES ME FURIOUS. They swore to us that their workers would wear masks and they lied and did not. My neighbor let us know that he saw them working for hours in our bedroom and my wife's office without masks. He told me because he knew that we have been very safe, and Andersens workers were the first and only people we had let into our home for 1 YEAR. And their careless thoughtless contractors put my wife at risk. Andersen, you all lied to us, and we only signed your contract based on that promise. I wouldn't recommend Andersen to anyone. One month later, we are still finding glass, still cutting ourselves, and still concerned about the quality of work that was done. You put our families health at risk and that is unacceptable and contrary to what you Swore to us. We did not walk away happy with what we paid for, and we still want the compensation we requested for the horrible work your contractors did and the damages they caused that we are still living with one month later. read more

I spent 10 minutes on the phone with a phone rep who at the end of the conversation said she would have to call me back at the end of the month to see about putting me on their schedule for an estimate. WTF? I told her I have two other window companies coming out in the next few weeks to give me estimates and will likely have already made a decision before they could even call me back to "see about" getting me on the schedule. Either way, bad first impression and now know why they have such mediocre ratings. Why spend so much money marketing if you can't even schedule estimates. As a business owner my mind is blown! read more

The sales representative was very good, which unfortunately led to the wrong expectation after the sale. I expected everything else to go just as well, but it didn't. First of all, Renewal By Andersen does not perform installations in-house. Installations are contracted to a third party. I had a major issue with the installation (which I'll explain in the next section), but talking to their operations team felt like I was interacting with a middle man. Second: We scheduled for the crew to come out on a Thursday. I asked the scheduler at RBA if they would be able to finish everything in one day, and they said they should be able to but if they didn't they could finish it on Friday. Installation day came, and although most of the work was done by end-of-day Thursday, there was still work to be done. I ask the crew leader Ryan if they would be coming out on Friday and he said no because he had ACL tickets, and that it would have to be on Monday. IN MY OPINION, THIS IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. This was very frustrating because I took Thursday and Friday off to be at the house while they did the work, and I turned out I wasted an entire day because of this. Third: I explicitly told and confirmed with the 3rd party installers that I wanted my window centered on the wall, meaning an equal distance from the left and from the right. They were off by 3", and this threw off and delayed our kitchen remodel. It was not easy getting someone to come out to fix the window, although they eventually did. Lot's of phone tag. Which leads to my last point. Very poor communication. It is very difficult to get in touch with anyone in the servicing department. If it's after 3:30PM, forget it. Also, after repeatedly asking to be contacted by email instead of by phone, they continued calling. Overall, I am happy with the windows. They truly are very nice. BUT, everything after the payment was very disappointing. I DO NOT RECOMMEND RENEWAL BY ANDERSEN OF AUSTIN. read more

If you read reviews around the country on Andersen they are universally glowing-- except in Austin. Our two page letter of complaint to the parent company was never answered so here goes... First the product is first class but the follow-up and on time delivery stinks. We paid for half of our patio doors in September which were finally finished in May. Keep in mind all this time we still owed thousands of dollars so you would think they had an incentive to finish and get paid. Rather than go through every snafu, every excuse, every part delivered late or incorrect let me just say you have been warned. Run, don't walk away from these guys. read more

The windows are very good quality I think (bar the handles), but this Austin location of the company is impossible and we would never recommend using the Renewal windows for this reason. We had a big, very expensive order done several years ago. Installation was a nightmare - completely incompetent crew, we ended up insisting on having them replaced. Since then various minor things (eg handles of windows) have gone wrong and their whole mode is to avoid responsibility. One office person told me repeatedly and indignantly they had not done our job .... Service person friendly when he comes but the handles keep breaking ... They charge an absolutely premium price with an elaborate warranty but provide terrible service. We subsequently had another large job done with another company whose windows and service have proved far better. Avoid. read more

Pretty frustrated that I wasted a whole afternoon for a quote. When I went the showroom I asked what we could expect for pricing so we could see if these doors would even be an option. I was told we had to have a sales person come out to get a quote. I completely understand pricing can vary depending on the job but why can't they just tell me starting point? They did set us up for a same day quote since I took the day off for door shopping and this would be the only chance for both my husband and I to be there. I should have known that since they can't even tell me base price in the show room it would be out of my price range. We cancelled plans and pushed our babies nap back to accommodate the appointment and sure enough it was WAY out of our price range. I am very frustrated because this could have easily been avoided when we were at the showroom. Their product may be great but be aware they will only cater to someone with a high budget. read more

We are very pleased with our windows replacement project by RbA. We evaluated other window companies before selecting RbA based on what we feel is superior product and warranty. Yeah, the windows and doors look great. Too bad they don't keep the cold out. I had two doors and several windows installed in October, 2014. It is now January 2015 and still no resolution to the fact that one of the doors will not close and seal. Don't give me any more of that "it has to settle". The other door was installed the same day and closes all the way and keeps the cold out. One of the installers even told the supervisor that he was having trouble getting that second door in properly. Every time they come back out, they do a little adjustment and say "It will settle and seal over time. What a crock! Wish I could take that door and throw it at you. I purchased a window and large sliding door from this business. One of the interior trim pieces on the door was screwed up- it has a huge pale patch running down several feet, like something was spilled on it while it was being stained- It's really ugly! I called and requested to have the problem fixed and was assured they would take care of it. Bottom line, after many calls, about a year and a lot of lip service, I gave up. It's still ugly and reminds me every time I look at it that I should be sure to tell my friends never to buy from these people. read more

We had original Andersen sliding glass doors that were put in by the previous owner, almost 20 years ago. We called for a quote, sales person came out. I told them we were interested in French doors, not the same sliding glass doors. We were told we couldn't have French doors. We would need to hire a contractor to come tear out and redo our whole back side of the house for French doors. We went ahead and went with new sliding glass doors. After waiting 8 months for the doors to be installed, as the installer was tearing out the old doors and we casually talked, I was told we could have had French doors. It's a simple install, just a bit more framing and done. Seriously!?!?! When we asked about French doors we were told they weren't even an option and were only given 2 options for sliding glass doors. Either $15K or $20K. Since thinking it was our only option without spending MORE money we went with it. Very disappointed to find out after the fact that we could have had what we really wanted. Now paying for doors for several years. And when we contacted the sales person to discuss after we found out about the option of the other doors, we were told "well you signed the contract" read more

I had a good salesman I think he was trying to help me find the window I wanted and liked, but he used the "buy right now discount". I really don't like companies that do this. I can't believe you have to treat people like this if you are making and selling a good and quality product. 13 windows for $24,000 ( i have a couple 5 foot and 8 foot windows ) and $10,000 for a double sliding patio door. I think I get more respect from car salesmen than these window companies, The windows have to have more markup than a car , so they should be willing to take the time to work with a customer. ( my car salesman worked with me for 2-months on purchasing my car) these windows salesmen want to come in, and talk to you for 2-hours and walk out with a $35,000 sale. read more

I got solicited at my home to get a free quote for replacing windows. We setup a date and I confirmed the appointment. I don't have a spouse, so the salesman showed up at the right time. I told him right away I wasn't interested in buying, but I would like a quote. He still ran through the sales pitch which was unconvincing. It was $30k for 10 windows, and he could reduce to $21k if I signed on the spot. There was some really hazy explanation of the "lifetime warranty" and a lot of bashing of other products. I agree with a previous commenter, if you want these windows, don't use renewal by andersen. Or at least avoid their salesmen. read more

IF there were negative stars, Anderson would qualify. They manufacturer the cheapest, poorest quality window that is available. The grids are a joke but more importantly the vinyl fails, cracks, and the cheapest Viking/Home Depo window outperforms Anderson by a long shot. Their warranty is abhorrent as well. They stand behind nothing and nothing is just what you get. I have built three houses - and fortunately only used Anderson in one of them. I will never buy another Anderson window. read more

So, I didn't have them install windows. I just had the sales rep come and talk to me. So this review is just based on that. Sales rep was nice and not high pressure. The reason for 3 stars is the price. I wanted to replace 11 windows (4 have a curved top, so these would be more expensive). Otherwise pretty standard windows. $40,000 (max price, they offer a lot of discounts during the sales pitch, that brought it down to $35,000) for all 11 windows. I was shocked, when I heard the price, the expression on the sales reps face was priceless (he knew he lost me right at that moment). They are probably great windows, but there's no way I was spending that much. A reason for the price, based on what the sales rep said (all the windows are custom made to fit)... so that has to be expensive. I write this so people will know a little more before calling to set a sales visit. read more

Dude, when I say I'm not interested, I AM NOT INTERESTED. And my home clearly says "no soliciting." These guys use door-to-door sales tactics and make you shut the door on them since they will not leave. read more

We did not end up getting windows by Anderson but we did ask them to come out and give us a quote. They did come to our door a couple times last year b/c our neighbors got windows from them. That seems to be part of their advertising/sales tactic. They were not pushy though and left when I said no thank you. So, I read the reviews here and was prepared for a long speech and haggle / hassle. That wasn't the case though. Our salesman came in and gave us the usual presentation of their windows, which seem great. He took the measurements, suggested a few ways we could save money and gave us a quote. It was way too high for our budget ($18k for 8 windows, one of which would have combined some windows that were close together), but he didn't pressure us or tell us anything about having to buy that very second. The whole thing took less than an hour. In the end we went with someone much more affordable. Had this been our "forever" house, I would have considered it though. read more

We just had a very professional and nice sales consultant come to the home tonight to discuss our windows. The conversation lasted for 3 hours. He had been very polite and patient, even though we didn't purchase the products. The only problem is the price! After all the discounts, the price he quoted us was $40k for 23 windows, which we definitely rejected. Charging premium for good quality can be understandable, but not with such high markup. In addition, the financing they offer has an interest rate of 6%, which is as high as student loan! Finally, we honestly explained the reason why we won't move forward and walked him out. We feel bad to not help him complete his task and he might feel bad, too, to not get a customer. In order to not waste time of both sides, we had asked many times what the price range looks like per window to the sales rep who knocked our door and to the customer service who set up appointment for us. But all of them rejected to give an answer. I think it is what Anderson management could improve: if the customer is seeking for a price range at the very beginning, find someone let him/her know through phone, so your team will waste less their time, nor the customers. read more

I'm writing this review because I was literally disgusted at the salesperson that came into our home. The windows are great don't get me wrong but when you are making me buy ten windows for about $14,000 and do NOT allow me to think about my purchase that sends me a red flag. He was forcing us to make a decision on the spot. We said we need to think it over about five times and had to make him leave. Are you serious? Even though the windows are top quality, I will NOT use them because of their sales tactics. UNETHICAL!! Please be aware before allowing them into your home to prey on you with their unrelenting car salesmen techniques. read more
