Woot! $8.50 teacher special for a burrito with a drink! I got the Lola G Bandit without the guac, as it was an extra $1.89 for guacamole and I was trying to take advantage of the special. The burrito had a cheddar jalapeño tortilla on it, which didn't taste super different from a plain one but was softer and a little chewier- I liked it! It also included fried potatoes, which were deliciously unhealthy. My favorite part was the iced herbal tea- there's never a decaf sugar free option, and I was stoked that they had one! Overall, the service is set up similar to Chipotle, but like it's less upscale version. Which I mean in every complimentary way possible. Everyone behind the counter was friendly and very patient with my noob self. Overall, an excellent meal and I would totally go back on my next cheat day. read more

Awful customer service!! You get charged whatever they want if you build your own burrito one day you get charged a certain amount and then they'll charge you more a week later for the exact same burrito. We were really looking forward to eating here as it is similar to big city burrito in Loveland that we always go to. The customer service was abysmal. They rushed us along, didn't fully answer questions, didn't make eye contact, and didn't even fill up the scoops all the way before putting it on our burritos. There were a lot of people working behind the counter and the service was quick but impersonal, meaning no greeting or smiles. The burrito was just ok, it was big enough but nothing real special. The tables were all in need of cleaning, I finally just wiped a table down myself. There really was nothing that stood out, okay service, okay food and the price was reasonable. Getting parked was a challenge because this is a very busy and hectic area. I would probably eat here again if the stars were aligned but I won't seek it out. read more

The staff knows how to make it amazing every time but I didn't like how a new staff member spoke under her breathe about how I asked for my sauce on my burrito since she barely added anything and I asked for double chili verde. We LOVE this place! We moved near the Thornton location 7 years ago and it has become a firm family favorite. Anytime we have anyone visiting, we are sure to go for an amazing breakfast burrito. The Inferno is our go-to, but we have tried pretty much everything on the menu! The staff are always friendly, helpful, and are the hardest-working bunch out there. The burritos are huge and we love how customizable they are. I'm a vegetarian and would like to see a meat-free protein option in the near future, but even without that there are plenty of choices. read more

I love renegade but hardly make it in. Decided to try something new today, I usually order the Slinger. As I got inside I asked for information, at first recognizing I just wasn't heard, but then to follow up with responses that were sarcastic and in a tone that was layered with frustration. I was flustered and trying to get as much info as I could to build my own burrito. I asked what Tomatillo Ranch is and the woman picked up the bottle, kept her side towards me and while looking at the woman at the register answered my question in a mocking tone while not even looking at me then walked off. I'm a bartender, I work till 3am. I got up early for an appointment and was excited to stop for a breakfast burrito. Not to feel like an annoyance or to be made fun of. The service industry is hard, but this woman only is making it harder... for herself. Rather than engaging with me, maybe having a fun laugh with me, and getting a good tip I couldn't finish my burrito because of my growing embarrassment and frustration leading me to write this. They can't seem to follow a customer's dietary restrictions or requests despite the fact that I am paying 12.00 for a bean and rice burrito. Moreover, when I call to tell them something is wrong and I never ordered cheese they argue with me, "you orderd it", no lady, I did not! I am vegan so I am pretty sure I didn't order cheese! Qudoba and chipotle have way better vegan options including tofu or beyond meat. Frankly, both Qudoba and Chipotle blow this place out of the water on all aspects including staff friendliness. Most recent order was extremely subpar. The carnitas were burnt and tough. Also, I ordered two orders of tacos and only got one. When I called the store to ask about the incorrect order I was told to leave a review on Yelp. No refund, no customer service to correct the order. Paid full price and even left a decent tip. I placed an online order for myself and a coworker. I had a steak burrito and she had a carintas. They didn't put any hot sauce. It was bland and I knew I made a wrong choice for lunch. Cut to the moment I have to run to bathroom because the explosive diahreea hit. Exact same explosive diahreea hit my coworker. As I am shitting my brains out do I realize I need to report this food poisoning. I call the store and ask for the manager, the child on line says he is the manager. I proceed to tell him that food poisoning occurred. Do I get a response like "I'll look into it", "I'm so sorry that happened to you". Nope he answers "okay" and hangs up. I have reported them to health department. Maybe get food somewhere else. It's clear they aren't sanitary since my coworker and I ordered two different items and had the same result. I like to add that I'm writing this review as I'm sitting on the toilet while this toxic waste leaves my body explosively. Edited at 10:42pm. It was the only food my coworker and I ate. They also don't seem to believe in keeping the heat on -- it was freezing in there and I was uncomfortably cold. The burrito was more than ample and I couldn't finish it, but somehow didn't care. So for years I have gone to Renegade Burrito because the staff was careful of my food allergies.   But not today, the Thornton Renegade staff decided to ignored me, so I said to please change gloves and wipe the counter because I am allergic to the substance that is all over the counter from the previous customer's order and I have ended up in the hospital in the past when my food gets mixed.  The one staff member changed gloves reluctantly,  and we went forward with my order. I let the second one know about my allergies, but that member decided to drag the tortilla across and then back across the counter making certain the substance I said I was allergic to was completelycovering my tortilla, so I had to leave the burrito behind. Now I guess at least the Thornton Renegade Burrito is not safe any more for food allergies. read more
