He will try to start the project and push back the contract. Although some of the things he does looks good, it won't be what you detailed to him in the beginning. I initially had a good experience with Arturo because he responded quickly and did a good job with my front yard, but I'm taking my review back and giving him one star because he's shady and will take your money and run. I let a lot of things slide because I felt bad for his workers and didn't want them to redo certain things, but he will try to pull things like using off white rocks, when you ask for purely white. Or tell you certain materials cost more after he lays down the cheaper stuff. I was fine with it because it was still aesthetically pleasing, dispute not being exactly what I requested. The thing that pisses me off the most is that when he finally finished my front yard, he still had to dig up the back and make an area where we can plant. I discussed this part of the project from the very beginning and stressed the importance of it so many times. This part of the project was for my grandmother. He gave me an estimate for the entire project and told me the back would be saved for the end, that he would turn over the soil and prepare it for planting. By the end of the project, he told me he would come back in a month or so when the weather cools down to do the back, since the peak of summer would make the project very difficult to complete. At this point in time, I believed him and waited. He never came back. When I called him, he would come out and try to give me an estimate for the entire backyard. I told him I didn't want to do the entire backyard yet, as I have a baby on the way and just want to complete the designated area we talked about for my grandma. I told him I would call him again when I am ready to do the entire back yard, but i would like to finish what we started with. He then told me that he needed to pay his men to come back, and that I needed to give him more money. I told him I had already paid him for the entirety of the project and would like him to finish. He never came back after that! I have no official contract with him that was provided by his company because he would always push it back! What I did do is write up a contract on my end just to have something to show that money was being paid for work. It states it was for the front and the backyard with preparation of the soil in the back for planting, and the amount paid each time. Do NOT hire him unless you get an estimate detailing exactly what materials will be used, how long it would take, and what the project includes. He will try to get more money from you and use cheaper materials! Not only did he not finish, he will occasionally call me to see if I want to do a complete landscaping of the back. When I tell him I just want to do the area we discussed, he ghosts me again! On top of it all, grass and wheats are growing over the rocks that he laid down. This was supposed to be no maintenance. Rocks and fake grass. Now we have to go around and pull the grass and wheats growing between the rocks! Sucks for him because I would've hired him to do the entire backyard! I just wanted the initial section done before I gave birth, and continue more work once my baby gets a few months old since I didn't want any projects going on during our bonding time. Now I will find someone else to complete the project and do the remainder of my yard.

I see them every week when I open the property for them to do their work and Telo and his guys are great, you can tell they really take pride in what they're doing, they have great etiquette and friendly service. I can't say enough good things about them. For example - One of my customers had some really nice trees in the front yard and nobody could quite get it right and she had remembered Lopez landscaping from a previous home she had, we found their number and brought them in and they've been doing a great job for about the past five years. (15 montage way- it's been featured in gardening magazines, and real estate magazines ) On another property that I manage we went through several high-end landscapers and nobody could quite get the trees right or fix the grass and we brought Lopez landscaping onto that property a little over a year ago and we have had no issues. Right away they fixed all the brown spots and muddy areas of the grass by fixing the irrigation and replanting new grass. One of the main things we were having trouble with was a really nice tree in the front yard that the previous landscapers almost killed and now it's doing great and the yard looks beautiful. If you're looking for the best service and people you won't mind having around your property, hit them up.

HATS OFF TO SAM'S TREE SERVICE!!! "WITH KNOBS ON" (as they say in Great Britain!)…read more After Hurricane Debby's heavy rains in Manatee County, the ground on my property became thoroughly saturated and the roots of my 70-foot-tall Norfolk Pine Tree began to loosen. When this occurred, the enormous tree began to LEAN. This was definitely an EMERGENCY SITUATION since it was abundantly clear that the tree could EASILY fall and DEMOLISH the home of my neighbor to the east. I contacted several tree services immediately but the first two who came out said they were afraid to attempt the work since the tree was so close to the houses. They said it was not possible to get a cherry-picker-type machine into the back yard to lift their workers up to the top of the tree. I was then VERY fearful that NO tree company would be able to help me and felt that the tree would surely fall on the house of my neighbor. But SAM'S TREE SERVICE said they could do the work, arrived on time, were professional beyond belief, and performed feats I would not have imagined possible. I have never, ever seen workers who were more thoughtful. One worker CLIMBED the 70-foot tree, cutting off limbs as he ascended, and my heart was pounding as he reached the top and began to cut down the enormous tree trunk a little at a time. The workers on the ground made certain the heavy limbs came down safely, tethered to heavy ropes. Not one other tree on my property was damaged by the falling limbs. All birdbaths and concrete benches, heavy planters, etc., had been moved by the workers to safe locations before the work began. All the enormous, heavy pieces of the trunk of the tree (and all branches) were removed and placed in the SAM'S company truck and hauled away. These men even raked the area afterwards and carried away ALL the debris. In my opinion, THIS tree service is the ONLY one I would call or recommend in future. The workers were here for 6.5 hours and worked like Trojans. I not only paid the fee for the work but I also gave each of the 3 workers a one-hundred-dollar tip. I will be FOREVER GRATEFUL to this company. THANKS AGAIN, SAM'S TREE SERVICE. I have never been so relieved IN MY LIFE!
