It's a nice hotel. I had good views. It's a decent location and transportation around city was reasonable and easy. My room was clean and stayed clean from service. Little to complain about... My only con is for elite members or those that pay for m-lounge access. M-lounge: - it's a hit-or-miss depending on who is working it. - food was cold (in the middle of service) and they didn't have tongs for the food on Thursday. - they sometimes didn't track silverware or bowls (2+ days). - they did a good job of keeping lounge clean (except Thursday) - Monday night was phenomenal though, but that was a different person - breakfast was fine most days. read more

This hotel is sad. I travel Over 100 nights a year and try to stay at Marriott properties. This place does not deserve to even be in the portfolio. First the lounge is closed weekend nights. Second breakfast is horrible. Lastly the internet lost signal every few minutes meaning I had to actually leave the property to get work done. My toilet seat broke. Then I called and asked for isp number and they repeatedly said they had no idea. They sent the engineer who instantly gave me the isp number. read more

We stayed here for three nights due to its location close to downtown Seattle. They have an onsite parking garage which is $50 a day. It's walking distance to waterfront park, pike place, etc. It's good location wise. We checked in late. The receptionist was helpful. We stayed on the 22nd floor. We got the views of public library. The executive lounge wasn't open on the weekends so we had breakfast on the 2nd floor, which was better because executive lounge had less items to choose from. We went to happy hour on Sunday. Unfortunately they didn't even serve cocktails during the cocktail hour. The food was average as I had better ones that an executive lounge has to offer. The room had two queen size beds. The bathroom light was motion controlled which was soooo annoying. It kept getting dark when i was in the shower. I had to wave my hands outside of shower curtain every few minutes! This wouldn't be my choice of hotel when i return to Seattle next time. read more

The Seattle Renaissance Hotel is exceptionally excellent in all ways. I stay here about once a month whenever I am in Seattle because the service is wonderful. The staff treat guests exceptionally well. I always feel special. The hotel's decor is magnificent with attention to all derails. As a retired nurse I can say this hotel is extremely clean. I love the food & service from the restaurant, bar & Club Lounge. I am a Marriott Platinum Lifetime member because of this particular hotel, so i always stay at Marriott wherever I go. YOU HAVE A CHECK IN/Elevator timing PROBLEM! Cannot check in until 4 and then have to wait 20+ minutes for an elevator is ridiculous. I heard lots of people complaining as apparently this is a known issue here. Rooms are fine, it's a hotel. Parking is so sketchy and expensive! I paid over 500 a night and had to pay to park. Parking structure maxes at 6'2'' which isn't much. The area is lovely! So many people out and a great place to walk and stay with my dog. Will I be back, probably not but only because I was in town specifically for a concert. Room service is kinda lame and you get everything in bags with wooden utensils and paper straws! What happened to real room service on a cart with dishes and silverware especially in a super fancy experience hotel!?!?! My husband booked this hotel because of the convenience of it being a 15 minute Uber drive from Port (to catch our cruise on Saturday). He also called prior to coming due to wanting to see if we can get our room earlier. We were told no, but the staff can hold our bags until rooms are ready at 3pm. We had the pleasure of having the representative Michael who said there's a room available only with double beds and not our original king bed. We took the room and he was kind enough to include free breakfast in the morning since they couldn't have our room ready earlier. He was beyond professional and gave us complementary waters and let us know there's free cocktails around 5pm. All in all the room was great and everything worked in the room worked fine, beds were comfortable and no noise complaints. We had a great time and got plenty of rest before our cruise. read more

I paid a lot of money and stayed at the Renaissance Hotel, but I was really shocked by the condition of the shower hose. It was so cheap and worn that I couldn't even find it at Motel 6. I was so disgusted by the poor service I received after paying so much. I traveled from LA to Seattle, and the hotel's condition was so bad. My room was 1212. I hope they check it out, replace it, and do their best for their guests. Plus, there's an unnecessary door lock latch on the front door, making it feel like a really cheap hotel. first time to stay here on my second trip to Seattle! My room hasn't been ready all day, but Ricky ended up saving the day once we were able to check in. He was super helpful in letting us know if a room was available for us during an already hectic Mother's Day weekend He kept his composure well and also gave us as many waters as we needed. I also like that they let us hang out upstairs to charge our phones while waiting for the time to pass by. I was notified at check-in that SELF PARKING IS $69/night, not Valet... but self parking. When attempting to park, my non-lifted and normal Jeep Wrangler wouldn't even fit the 6'2" height requirement. Unreal. Guests have to PAY $12.95 FOR WIFI... no free WiFi. The rooms are significantly outdated. The beds haven't been updated in probably 10 years. The nightstands have water damage as well. The only items half decent are the lobby and gym. It took me 10 minutes just to check-in as well. I travel 20+ nights monthly and will not be coming back to this hotel. read more

Had fond memories of this hotel. I was once a hotel desk clerk here. Very nice hotel then. The pool on the top floor was a highlight with guests. You could swim and see the sights from the top floor. Sadly, they have now removed the pool. I attended a conference here recently. They had an average,but acceptable breakfast display. Mostly focused on cold cereal, underripe fruit and various coffee options. The staff were great, monitoring the buffet and quickly clearing dishes. We had meetings until lunch time. There were are a variety of sandwich options. These came with unfortunately underripe fruit, Tim's potato chips and a great oatmeal raisin cookie. Felt as if they could have offered a better lunch selection. A variety of cookies offered at the 4 pm break in conference. Again, felt the selection of snack options other than just cookies could have been offered. Unfortunately slow elevators and a crowed garage. What was once a luxury hotel, has morphed into a medium class hotel, that lacks the many features it once boasted of. Sad to see the decline. read more

The hotel was as advertised. it was clean, and all of the people are very friendly. The best part we were able to have our two dogs with us. The only drawback was a little area where you could walk your dogs it was something small but we went across the street to the courthouse and they did their business there. Just make sure you clean up after yourself because there is a security guard that watches everything you do but it is a nice grassy area.all the same. read more

Attended a conference in Seattle, WA. Great stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating as soon as we walked in and for the entirety of our stay. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were clean as well. Hotel is within walking distance to some really cool landmarks of downtown Seattle as well as short ride sharing trips to others like the stadiums, museums and ballparks. We had a a great visit and the only negative that I had was that the body wash was empty when I arrived which they replaced right away. We had a good experience at the Renaissance. The rooms were fairly standard without much of a view, but the location is great in that it is walkable to downtown and other businesses in the area. For Marriott members with status, they provide breakfast which was pretty good. I think it was labeled as continental breakfast but it definitely included other food like bacon, smoked salmon and eggs. While the location is proximate to lots of other areas, it is a bit of a tough spot for Uber pickups and drop offs as the streets are busy on both sides of the corner intersection. read more

The modern lobby creates a welcoming first impression, and the lobby bar offers a convenient spot to grab a drink. I was upgraded to a corner suite, which was clean and very spacious, though the decor felt a bit outdated. While the size of the suite was a definite plus, staying on the lower floors (I was on the 6th) came with a drawback: significant highway noise that could be disruptive for light sleepers. We had a nice time at the Renaissance Seattle. We arrived pretty early, probably around noon. The front desk agent, Amani was able to find us a ready room on the 21st floor with a nice view of the Seattle Public Library. The room was a nice size and very clean. The location is pretty good, we were there first a concert at Lumen field which is walking distance (just under a mile, I think). Pikes marketplace is also pretty close by. It was nice to have the room services every day of our stay, although we did say every other day was fine. The reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we went to the restaurant on the second floor for a late breakfast on Monday, a little after 10 and they closed. There's not a lot of places to eat close by so that's a bummer, but there's a great coffee shop just next door. We would definitely stay here again when returning to Seattle! read more

Top pick of ours for stays in Seattle!! Renaissance Seattle (Marriott Property) had unique decor of woodlands throughout the property. Check-in was very easy and concierge overlooked the port and parts of the city. Our corner suite was very nice as we could see the port and parts of the city. They still provide all the Aveda amenities! A sweet surprise of chocolate covered cherries when we entered our room was a nice touch too. Breakfast was very nicely done. They offered everything imaginable including fresh smoked salmon that was delicious. Location wise it was front and center to everything; Chinatown, Pike Place Market and many museums! read more

The rooms are pretty clean, found trash down by the lamp base. The check in was prompt and seamless but parking is expensive ($66 a night), and if your vehicle is over 6'2, ( truck with skiing mounts), you'll have to park elsewhere. A beer at the bar is $10, and with tip your looking at $40 for 3 bottles of beer, and you have to ask for a glass. Its all fine but for the hotel price, I didn't feel the added costs were worth it. read more

This property is very beautifully designed, with gold and dark wood accents, as well as literary touches as the "theme" of the hotel's design. The lobby is lined with bookshelves, and the walls plastered with book pages or large printed book spines. It was a very nice mix of being upscale but not taking itself too seriously with the addition of the whimsical design. The location is very convenient with lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The parking (as it is with most of Seattle) is very expensive. I think it was something like $45 a day, but we decided not to rent a car, so we had no complaints there. The rooms are as well-appointed as the lobby. They are not the largest Renaissance rooms I have ever stayed in, but it did the trick for our three-day stay. The room had a huge work desk that runs along the entire length of the wall. The bed was large enough and comfortable with very thick, plushy bedding. The bathroom was of average size but was sleekly designed, and nice and clean - which is what I care about most We also ate at the hotel's restaurant "The Fig and Judge" and the food was delicious! The maître d' seated us and told us all of the best options for our cravings, and the specialties of the restaurant. We could barely walk when we left the place, we were so full! Overall, the design of this hotel was what really blew me away, along with the on-site restaurant and the great location. read more

We recently stayed at this hotel, and overall had a nice experience. The check in process was just okay, the staff wasn't the warmest. The location is good for walking to Pike Place Market, but be prepared to walk uphill on the way home! We have platinum status and took advantage of the weekday lounge access for breakfast which was a nice perk. We drove a pickup truck and had it valet parked- we saw them trying to park it and it was definitely over the height maximum for the garage- but they must have parked it somewhere because we had no issues with it during our trip. There are some conference spaces in the hotel and the elevators were very slow and crowded in the mornings, so that's something to be aware of if you need to be somewhere at a set time. I would stay here again and would also recommend it to other guests. read more

What a beautiful property to stay at in down town Seattle. Easy to get to off of Interstate 5 South, I am not sure about if you are coming from the other way, but we had an easy time. We stayed a few nights, along with our kids, and Grandson. They had a great stay as well. We mostly dined off of the premises, but there were a few evenings, we went to the downstairs bar, and had some snacks, and drinks. We also had a la cart where we picked it up down stairs waiting for us. The food was really good from each place. The rooms were super clean, and very spacious, with everything you could possibly need. One thing I was a little concerned about, we were on the 18th floor, and window opens just the right amount my 2 yr old Grandson could slip through. Thankfully we watch him. I think a skinny adult could fit through as well. I'm not sure what they could do about that? Parking here is a little expensive, I think it's the area. I heard the other hotels were charging about the same, and when we went to the stadium it was $80 to park for the day. So be prepared for that extra expense. Would definitely come back. Very nice place, and the staff were awesome. read more

Renaissance hotel gave me a nice 4 star experience. The hotel is beautiful & the staff was very welcoming. I was checked in before 3pm which was nice since I had arrived a little early for PAX West. After I received my room key I was shown where everything was in the hotel then given a bottle of water which was nice. I get to my room on the 15th floor and everything seemed perfect. Saw the mini fridge which is always a plus and the bed and pillows were extremely soft. You're also in the heart of downtown, walking distance from pretty much everything. It was a 10 minute walk to the convention center which was perfect for me. The hotel gym was also better than most. Everything was perfect until I got back to my room & realized that even after turning on the AC & leaving then coming back my room was still hot. If it's 1 thing I absolutely HATE it's a hot room, I will go CRAZY! I called downstairs & asked if they could send someone up & they did. Luckily for me the gentleman fixed the issue but told me it would be 30-45 minutes before I could turn the A/C back on. So I was dying the entire time until I could turn the A/C on. After the 45 minutes I go to turn on the A/C and can already feel the air. This would have been a 5 star stay if I didn't have to go through this but I do appreciate how fast they fixed the issue. LOVED this place! it wasn't easy picking a hotel in a city that I was completely unfamiliar with. it is NOT super close to the tourist attraction like the space needle & Pike place but it IS walkable if you're in decent shape. There is a monorail (which we didn't use). It is very close to the underground tours and a few other attractions. We had a 1 bedroom suite. The Suite was small but good enough. 19 year old son slept on the sofa bed in family room. husband and i had the king bed and 17 year old daughter literally made a bed on the window seat. There was zero floor space to make a bed. When i say small..it was VERY small. I wonder what the regular rooms are like? maybe that would have been better. Concierge lounge was gorgous! it had amazing views. Great breakfast & evening hot "snacks" . full cash bar available. in between hours it was still o pen for water, soft drinks, packaged snacks and lounging. This made up for the smal room. we spent a decent amount of time just hanging out in this lounge. lobby had coffee in the morning, water during the day and dry snacks available all day. there was also a full bar/restaurant in lobby. parking garage was below lobby. it's a tricky garage but we got used to it. it has direct access to lobby via elevator. then you board a different elevator to go up to rooms. i would stay here again for sure. super friendly staff. read more

My boss and colleagues all had a lovely stay. I made all the travel arrangements for everyone so making sure everyone's needs were met was important. Hotel was lovely. It appears they have fixed at least 1 additional elevator as 3 were working. They've added an elevator operator to help ensure ease of use going up and down at all hours. I didn't run into any of the issues another traveler mentioned. Per the night time operator it appears all of Seattle has broken elevator issues, even his apartment elevator hasn't worked for months. The peanut butter cookies in the club room were probably the best I've ever had. I'll be saving this in my collection of hotels in yelp and maybe Marriot app for future trips to Seattle. read more

The hotel room was great, and impeccably clean. Upon arrival, all blinds were covering the windows so our room was incredibly chilly. (a great feeling from traveling all day) The people that worked here were friendly. One downside from our service was: - The guest services lady who helped us did not notice that she gave us room keys that do not open up the garage as well. When we tried leaving, our initial card that we were given did not allow us to leave. Great-fully, another guest allowed us leave with the use of their card. If it weren't for the other guests who were also trying to leave, we may have missed our Space Needle tour! We used the intercom to call the help desk, but were left on hold for about 5 minutes. Nevertheless, we ended up getting this issue sorted out with no problems. Other Notable Downsides: - The restaurants in the hotel weren't open - no microwave in the room - Whoever picked up our call for room service did not give us the option to pick up our order ourselves as opposed to having the food delivered to our room. When my girlfriend decided for delivery, he said with haste, "their is an additional $5 charge. The food will be ready in 20 minutes." He then hung up. - only one additional pillow provided in the closet We didn't mind the additional $5 charge as we were planning to tip the deliverer any way. We did not appreciate his haste statement, giving us no time to respond as we would have picked the food up. Notable upsides: - Aveda products for washing up - water bottles were provided in the front of the hotel, for no charge on an especially hot day - plenty of closet space - iron and ironing board provided - lots of extra towels read more

Bonvoy Member here-Regarding my stay 2/16-2/18/24. Stayed with my friend. The AC in the room did not work adequately and the room remained very warm. Fan continuously shut off/would not stay on auto. This issue was minimal compared to what we dealt with the night of 2/17. From about 1am through 5:15 aim (we were on the 21st floor), people staying in the rooms next to us continuously yelled, slammed their doors, screamed, banged on the wall, passed out in the walkway against our wall, talked in groups outside our room, on and off all night. I called the front desk and security 3 times during the night. I gave them all the room numbers involved in the nonsense. When I called the third time, the front desk lady told me security had come up but "didn't hear anything"....which is a total joke as everyone on our side of the floor was disturbed. At checkout we wanted to share our experience with the manager who also said his guard "didn't hear anything" but they had notes from me calling all night. We were never offered to change rooms (which would've satisfied us) that night. This was horrible and I've never even seen anything this bad even in Vegas. read more

This is a REALLY nice hotel! The staff was more than friendly! They even had strawberry & cucumber infused water for the guests! They let me take a whole bottle of Tabasco sauce to my room at the hotel. They said not to worry, because house keeping will bring it back down to the kitchen. They don't let this fly out in California that's for sure. And there's a guy offering macaroons in the afternoon. Also they have afternoon activities for the guests. I am here for work, but I would LOVE to come back on vacation. They also have a whole box of chocolate covered fruits in the rooms, & sparkling sodas in the fridge complimentary for the guests.
