Five stars and my printer didn't even get repaired! Why did I give five stars then??? Because they are an honest and trustworthy repair shop. When my Canon MP560 Printer gave up on me, I brought it to another place where they were going to charge my just to take a look at it, plus any repairs. If they couldn't fix it, I would have been already $50 down. Here, they offer free diagnostics. They called me back after about day and were so up front with me and told me that they tried several common troubleshooting techniques, but that they may need to replace the printer head, which with labor would probably cost upwards of $90-100. They did not advise this because they even looked up how much a used Canon MP560 was on ebay and it was priced about $40-50. So, they were willing to do the repair if I wanted, but again didn't think it was worth it. WHO DOES that?? I was so happy they were so honest with me. I couldn't believe it. IT is rare to find this type of trust anymore in the repair business- everyone is trying to make a decent living and I truly appreciated their honestly which is why I would definitely bring anything else I needed fixed back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! read more

Honest, fast, and friendly. Came in for a screen replacement for my Nexus 5, but also got a battery replacement and corrosion removal procedure (needed because my phone experienced water damage several months ago) when Henry cut me a deal. Before coming in, I was in a situation where it might have been more cost effective to scrap the phone, but instead walked out of there with a rejuvenated phone and less cash outlay. read more

Excellent service. I have had two experiences here, and both times Henry went above and beyond for me while providing fair and reasonable prices. I brought in my pair of beats headphones (sound was out in one ear). He first attempted to fix the issue himself. When he found that this was not possible, he contacted another supplier and brought in a refurbished pair for me. All the while keeping me updated. They work perfectly and I am more than happy with them. The second experience was for my iphone 5s that had a cracked screen and a short battery life. I brought it in on short notice and he more than accommodated me and my work schedule, finishing the job under the time he said it would take, and for a great price. Henry is easily accessible, quick to respond, honest, and considerate. The quality of his work is also top-notch. It's nice to no longer have to search from the dozens of repair stores around Orange County. Henry and Device Repair are my go-to location for electronic repairs. read more

I am not the kind of person to write reviews for everything. But I feel it would be wrong if I didn't write this one ; the true meaning of EXCELLENT OUTSTANDING service , is what I got from this business !! A team of extremely professional and knowledgeable gentlemen, who repaired my subwoofer for $ 89 , when others including the Geek Squad at best buy wanted to charge me around that much, to just take a look and tell me what was wrong with it. Highly recommended read more

What an Awesome place. I came here cause I saw all the 5 star reviews and they were right on! Had my computer fixed within a few hours with a new hard drive and Windows 10 installed. Would have been double the price and days later else where. read more

BOTTOM LINE- stellar service, shockingly rapid repair, and for a reasonable price. Absolutely sure that there is no better place for any device you might need repaired. The classical music played inside the shop was very pleasing to hear esp. when I was not very happy about the state of the 3 important items I brought in to be fixed. The patient and professional manner of mr. Henry inspired hope that I might actually have found a proper place. Turns out I did just that. read more

I am beyond impressed with how helpful they are. I love my laptop and I truly feel like they cared. I could not recommend them anymore highly. A big thank you to Henry and everyone on the team for going over and beyond. read more

I just spoke with Henry regarding repair on my laptop; he was so helpful over the phone that I want to work with them! I told him if I don't get in today or tomorrow, I still want to put in a good word on Yelp, which is where I found their repair service. The first place I called was not helpful at all, so all the more reason to promote this company "Device Repair". Thanks, Henry. *insert smiley face*. read more

I want to Thank Yelper's who leave 5 stars review for Device Repair. When I got the referral to go to Device Repair, I decided to turn to yelp review since I've already been to 3 different places and they could not fix it or estimate was too high it didn't make sense to get it fixed. When I read the Yelp review it gave me hope and I decided to give a try. Henry was Awsome. He did not give up working on it. I droped my lap to on November 12th and picked it up today. He went through 2 different parts which didnt work. I was ready to pick it up after 3 weeks but he was trying something more to get it repaired. Since I went through 3 different business and they could not fix it I was willing to accept the fact it's time for the new laptop. He called me today and said he got it fixed. I was afraid to even ask him how much. If it costed too much I wished He should not have it fixed it. When I showed up to pick up my lap top which was perfectly restored.. He did not even charge me penny more than his original estimate. I know it cost him more time and $$ to get my laptop work again. Thank You Henry!!! They even cleaned my laptop it looks new :) We are going to bring the printers next week for you to work on it. read more

Very friendly atmosphere. My son spilled lemonade on his MacBook and Device Repair did an awesome job getting his computer back up and running. I highly recommend them. Thank you Device Repair for being patient and fixing his laptop. read more

Had a desktop that was 5 years old that stopped working a few months back and bought a new one. Then realized our son needed a computer for school so I brought our 5 year old computer in to Henry to see if it made sense to fix it. With no cost or obligation he spent 2 hours going through our old computer and then informed us that he didn't suggest investing any money into the old computer. He said he could fix it for about $220.00 but that since it was old technology it really wouldn't be what our son needs for teleconferencing and online school. He then looked up a computer that was on sale at Micro Center and gave me the sku# and said that this was what I needed and that it was a great computer at a great price. Henry is so open and honest as well as being very knowledgeable regarding modern computers. I would suggest Henry to anyone that needed an honest opinion and price on getting their computer repaired. He's my new computer dude. read more

I just had my files recovered from my portable hard drive. What a great service from Henry and his team. No hassle, no gimmick. I will come back here again and again whenever I have computer issues in the future. thank you Device Repair! read more

I could not have left this place any happier! I had cracked my iphone screen and wanted it replaced on a Friday evening. I was going out of town that night so I was in a hurry. Not only did they have the best price (and I called a few places in the area), but they were also able to fix my phone right away. The owner was very friendly and showed me that they use high quality products. I highly recommend them and will go there again if anything else happens to my phone. read more

I took my new HP laptop to Henry to provide more drive space. External disk purchased and he removed everything including files over last 10 years vital to me. Using a program to fast transfer everything was cleaned including my Dropbox and half my directory !!! read more

If Yelp allowed a 10-star rating; then I would still want to give Device Repair even more stars! It's like I won the Lotto finding these guys. Every computer repair service spot I've ever been to results in one of two ways: (1) my computer/s fixed and working great again but it cost me a small fortune to fix it. Or (2) I saved a ton money because I was able to take advantage of a promo or coupon deal and my computer was able to "function" again but not in an impressive way. Thankfully, that's not the case with Device Repair! These guys (Henry and Fred) not only gave me "hands down" the best deal in and around OC as well as got our laptops working even better than when we first purchased them, Fred (the head technician) drove to our place to pick up laptops, said he'd charge us nothing until and unless all requested work was completed to perfection (which it was and then some), thoroughly cleaned both laptops (not only the Operating System but also cleaned the inside and outside of the actual laptop) and thereafter delivered laptops back to our place. Plus, upon delivery, he took the time to show us everything he did - explaining all in detail - as well as gave us suggestions for how to improve even more. With all that and more I expected a huge bill exceeding initial estimate. Nope, the price I was first quoted was the final price I paid. No surprises to justify increased costs (which is what I'm used to with every other place/person who I've brought my computer to). If you're experiencing issues with your computer, if you've been quoted some sort of outrageous price to fix you computer and or if you don't want any surprise additional cost/s when picking up your computer; then Device Repair is THE place to go to. Trust me, you won't regret it!! There's only one word I can think to describe Device Repair, and in particular Henry and Fred, AWESOME!! Thank you guys for existing!! YOU ROCK!! read more

My old laptop died but I didn't want to buy a new one. I took it to these guys and the next day it was working as good as new, after they replaced the dc jack and the screen. The fee I was charged was excellent - much lower than other places. I think this is the perfect place to go in Irvine if you need to repair an electronic device. read more

This place is the best they are straight shooters and can be trusted. We have been here several times for laptop and desktop issues, this is our go to place and the travel from Huntington Beach is well worth it. Thanks again to Henry and his technicians. read more

The reviews brought me in the integrity of the people will bring me back. I will definitely rate Henry 5+ stars. He treats his customer like he wishes to be treated! Three different devices were looked at and analyzed (2 phones and one laptop). Did not charge for any of the services and quite frankly had he, not certain I would've remained in the shop. Respected my time when I had calls interrupt us and I respected his time when he was with other customers. The gentleman who work there all know their technology and product knowledge forward and backwards. Like I said, I will go back and my family and friends will be referred there. Wonderful experience! read more

These guys are the best!!! I brought my laptop in and they were able to diagnose it right away. Unfortunately the motherboard was dead and I was unable to fix it but they were able to get me the hard drive so I could transfer my files to the new computer. When I first tried to transfer the files they were corrupted so I called these guys up and they were able to fix it for free!!! These guys really care about their customers and they offer a very fair price. This was the second time I brought my laptop in and the first experience was excellent as well. Henry and his crew have saved me so much money and time! 10/10 would recommend to anyone have any kind of device problem!

I needed a company I could really trust with very sentimental photos that I needed to be recovered. By word of mouth alone and asking around who I could depend on, Device Repair came up over and over. I trusted in the reputation via word of mouth and brought a laptop in and I am so happy to say that not only were the folks there very courteous and professional but were so understanding how important my sentimental files were to me! Your expertise is only exceeded by your great prices. Thank You Device Repair! Customers for life!!! Jeanne Mission Viejo read more

This place ROCKS! My iPhone 6S plus wasn't charging past 1% and Apple couldn't take me until Thursday. Turns out all I needed was a better adapter than I was using. So after six months of living with my destroyed iPhone Six Plus screen, hoping I could wait it out until I got my upgrade, I just couldn't do it anymore. Found these guys online, they were right around the corner from my office. Went in after work, believe it was Henry I spoke with. Quoted me a great price, told me to come back in about an hour - quicker than I've had any of my other devices fixed in the past. Being my impatient self, I come back about 45 minutes later, and they had just finished up, my phone feels brand new again. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing their gadgets fixed. Stupid me while studying hard for my AP Bio class happened to spill my mom's delicious smoothie onto my Mac's keyboard. Repair Man me in all my glory decided to try to fix the issue myself... which did not end well. Myself trying to fix the problem by removing the keys and cleaning it myself exacerbated the situation leading to near complete keyboard failure. Thankfully with the helpful hands at Device Repair they were able to clean and fix both my mistakes in under a day with quite a reasonable price. read more

Great and fast service. They diagnosed the problem in less than 1hr and called me back right away. The cost for parts and labor was actually cheaper than I thought. Spilled water on the laptop so I was expecting at least 400-500 but was able to fix everything for under 200. Henry was very helpful and honest. Will come back. read more

I brought my Macbook Pro in with a cracked screen. They were very friendly and upfront with pricing (also the lowest quoted price out of the seven local repair shops I contacted), and had no problem with the fact that I ordered the replacement part elsewhere. The entire job was done in less than two hours, and it both functions and looks as good as new. I won't hesitate to come back for future repairs. read more

Asus charge me $690 for the service. Device Repair did it for only $110 (tax included) and the computer works perfectly so far!

Very true. My laptop was not dead. It just needed to be repaired, hence taking it to a computer repair shop. Also Henry contacted ME and offered to buy me tablet to remove my review. Funny how he had my phone number and called me about my review but didn't bother to call me before "throwing away" my laptop. read more

I got referred by a friend to come here to fix my Macbook Air (I had spilled tea over my keyboard). They were really helpful, explained everything and was reasonably priced. Just picked up my latest of several repaired devices from Henry and the crew. As always the work was quick and INCREDIBLY reasonably priced. I can't recommend this place highly enough! They don't charge for analysis or for a repair they can't make and are very honest about your costs of fixing vs. buying a replacement. In my family we're always having something break and we've tried other places, but only Device Repair is one where we look forward to coming back to. Strongest possible recommendation! read more

My OPPO machine got broken, so I brought the unit to this place. Long story short, they worked on my unit for over 8 hours but since they could not get the result, they are not charging me anything including the part they purchased for the unit. Henry and his team really saved my a** last week: I need to clone my data off of an old 2TB HDD onto a new 1TB SSD. There were some problems on the HDD (numerous bad sectors). Henry called me 15 minutes after I dropped off the disks, told me that cloning couldn't be done but offered to do a sector-by-sector copy instead of a clone. It took most of the day but in the end, everything was perfect. All data moved, no missing files and best of all the SSD is blazingly fast. Henry & his team deliver top-notch customer service at a great price. Please consider using this firm for any of your hardware issues, you won't be disappointed. read more

Henry is extremely helpful and honest. I had scheduled to have our laser printer picked up and repaired at his store. His driver was on other calls and so he sent over a technician to do a free diagnostic. That is incredible customer service. Henry and the technician, Fred, laid out all of the options with the associated costs including purchasing a new unit. I ended up finding a terrific deal on a new unit online that I couldn't pass up. I will definitely contact Henry in the future for any repair needs. It is so rare and refreshing to get this level of customer service! Thank you Henry. read more

Then since I decided to buy a new PC, Henry helped me purchase a new computer. I highly recommend them! read more

I would highly recommend Device Repair, for their service, integrity, and reasonable pricing. I brought my Mac Mini to Device Repair earlier this month because I wanted to have them install a solid state hard drive that I had purchased from Amazon. The computer was working ok, but I knew that installing a solid state drive with my existing 16 GB of RAM would make it a dream machine. They were able to clone my existing hard drive, install the new SSD, and it now works fantastic. Also, they took my old hard drive, put on an external enclosure, and made it a sweet portable external drive. Additionally, when they opened my Mac Mini, Henry realized that the RAM modules were not properly closing, and they fixed that as well. My Mac Mini's performance is off the charts with the solid state drive and it literally boots up in about 30 seconds to a minute; and I when I click on a program, there is almost no lag from surfing the net to working on documents. Henry honored a price quote he gave me several months ago, and they finished all of this within one day. I dropped off my computer on Tuesday and it was ready to go by lunch on Wednesday. If you're looking for top notch repair or computer help, these guys are great and very reasonable. read more
