The customer service here merits a negative rating. One star is giving them more credit than they deserve. The people that work here are especially rude and disrespectful to customers. Peter doesn't even seem to understand what customer service means. I'm not sure he even has the capacity to understand it. I used to frequently purchase building materials from here and after my experience here last week I won't be returning ever again. Very rude and inconsistent employees. Asked an employee the price of a door (I had the prices of everything else i wanted) and was told I had to inquire at the counter. While standing at the counter another customer gets the attention of another employee who walks him right in front of two of us to look up an item. Completly ignores the two customers in line. Money stays in my pocket til I get to home depot.(they offer a military discount anyway) I was hoping to support the local guy. Serves me right. read more

Great experience! Good quality cabinets purchased here for our kitchen. We installed them ourselves. We're very happy with the results especially for the reasonable price we paid. Paul was our kitchen planner. He was informative and very thorough. We were able to get a brand new kitchen that we feel good about and saved about half of what we thought we would spend. 8 different size cabinets all in white shaker style, with flat draw fronts. I think the Remodeler's Outlet is best suited for contractors and builders and such. The selection is vast but overwhelming and it can be hard to get an employee to help you with finding exactly what you need. It's more the, "yeah, check over there" type of "help". I've stopped in a few times over the years looking for various items such as doors, bathroom vanities, fixtures, etc. but I've never actually made a purchase because I just really don't feel the selection is varied enough. They will have 200 of each door but each style of door will look almost identical. If I only have a few hours on a weekend to run errands, I'd much rather head to the home center (Lowes/Home Depot) where I know I can find what I need as well as any other items on my home improvement shopping list. Overall, Remodeler's Outlet seems like a great idea, but falls way short in execution. read more

Went in on a Saturday and only one employee was there, with a client already. They were planning a kitchen, which is what we drove there from Boston to do. We walked out 20 minutes later after the employee, who ignored us until I walked up to him, said "I don't know how long this is going to take and we close at 4." Understood, bub, but ya could have been nicer about it. (Could have been welcoming and been interested in taking our info) 2 biggest problems: -only 1 employee -not warm and welcoming I realize others could have a great experience here. So, I went into this store with very low expectations. I needed to purchase 2 doors and 1 window. As a women I didn't really know what to look for. I walked in and there didn't seem to have a lot of employees on the floor as a lot of contractors go in, know what there looking for and buy it. I found a very nice gentleman buy the name of Kevin who was very knowledgeable and helpful. They I returned at a later date and Mikey & Ernie stepped in to help. I honestly felt like family was helping me. They were honest & helpful. All you need is a little patience while waiting for someone to help you. They take there time with everyone and make sure your happy. I highly recommend Remodelers Outlet in Fall River, MA. I ordered a custom camber top exterior door from Remodelers Outlet and was told it was avail with a glass half panel panel. I paid in full and was told it would be approximately a 5-6 week delivery. After 7 weeks of waiting for this door I was then told there was an "issue"and this custom door was now not available with the glass panel style i specifically ordered. They also told me I could not get a refund since the wood frame and wood door panel had been built and shipped to their facility. After waiting another 3-4 weeks trying to find a way to get a glass panel made, I finally gave up and told them to simply deliver the solid panel door as is. It has now been 13 weeks since I ordered this door and it had still not arrived. I paid over $2000 for this door and I'm almost 3 months waiting. I will never do business with them again. They do not know what they are doing, seem to have no idea what is actually available from their manufacturers and suppliers and their service is AWFUL. They have not once emailed me or called me with a status update. Never do business with Remodelers Outlet. Their discount is not worth it. I paid in full for a product that I will not be receiving which is impacting the exterior of my house and at this point I'm worried if I will ever receive it! read more

This store is awesome! I was told I had to wait 5-7 weeks for an exterior door, and my builder was ready to do my siding so I saw a billboard ad and headed over to their massive warehouse. I bought a door ready to hang with side-lights, exactly the right size, and it was on sale! Plus I saved $1,500 on the THREE other estimates I got. We bought kitchen cabinets from here. While the price was reasonable the cabinets were a mess. Cracks in the wood all over. Some pieces broken. Given the timeframe on the renovation and the amount of time we had been waiting we had to install them. Lots of promises from management about getting some type of refund but never heard anything from anyone ever again. They might be good for a door or window but I will look for cabinets else where from now on. read more

I have dealt with Remodeler's outlet for years. They have always been helpful, even cut down some doors for me since they did not have the height I needed. I have bought 2 kitchens from them at fabulous prices (really inexpensive). Suggestion: if you want to design a kitchen, call for an appointment, don't just drop in!! It takes several hours; even Home Depot wants an appointment set up. No, they will not hold your hand as you walk the store; have a list in mind before you go. I needed toilets for a remodel; they have a "toilet in a box" that works just great. I did not know it was there before I went, but I grabbed three when I saw them!! A lot of what goes on there is serendipity; they may or may not have what you want, but be prepared to go to the desk and ask. If you cannot find something, tell them you looked for it and could not find it, and then they will actually walk you to the area. Since I loved shopping in the original Filene's basement, this store does not intimidate me. read more

Went back to the Fall River location today for the 2nd time to pick up a custom ordered vanity and marble top that I had ordered a week prior along with other items that were taken home with me that day, A total spent of over $1000. One of the items that was purchased was a mirror for over the vanity which we found much too big, When I went to the store to pick up my vanity I was looking to return the mirror for a smaller one. The manager was very cocky and degrading. He tried telling me how it would be "at least a 20% restocking fee" When I reminded him I was going to spend the money back in the store on another mirror in a smaller size he didn't want to even take the mirror back. He said you custom ordered the mirror, which was a lie, and was trying to scam me for a quick buck. The mirror is on display right in the showroom! Trust me when i tell you, it wasn't a custom order. He even went out of his way to degrade my business partner and I by telling us we don't know anything about business and if i followed my own rules how i would fail. Listen, this "manager" is just a punk that the day i ordered I overheard him talking with other people about sexual misconduct certainly not appropriate for the work place. I never go out of my way to make a problem but, when Im told I owe money just to spend more I feel as I am being robbed without a mask. If you take anything from this, Your mother, father, brother, grandmother, or close friend could be the next person walking in the door to deal with this swill.
