He stripped out a key screw head by using the wrong screw bit and then stated that it was too hard to replace. A simple Moen valve cartridge,a simple 1hour job at most with a $30 part. That he would have to come back the next week. When I mentioned to him that I had never had a plumber just up and quit like that -He lost his cool- to say the least! I should say that I've been a General contractor for nearly 40 years and no novice when it comes to dealing with subcontractors. But this was unbelievable! So long story short, he storms off and vows never to return! Ouch!! Talking to my LL about it afterward (she had seen /heard most of the incident) I find out he was going to charge her $900.!! I figure he sensed that I was not a pushover so decided to exit early! I can think of no other logical reason for his behavior. So be forewarned this guy is bad news.

Since I don't live on site etc, I agreed to try them I asked for an estimate, Brad said "we'll take a look". After finding out they just started working instead. So, I had to go to the site. He has a single plumber, digging randomly at $110 an hour trying to find the leak. I told them to stop and that I would make other arrangements for digging, pay for what they had done and call them back out. Instead, Brad agreed that labor get costly for a "skilled plumber" to be randomly digging all day-so, he came up with a scheme to have me pay for his guy's labor "saving me money". It seems unusual and unconventional but I give him the benefit of the doubt. I ended up still getting billed after digging half the hole myself and paying his guy under the table. Eventually, he invoices us for over $700 without ever discussing potential cost or providing an estimate. Finally, the "plumber" tells me he will fill the hole, turn back on the water and call me up to let me know if the repair was successfu. Instead, no call & but another invoice for over $250 to FILL the hole they dug and turn a valve! I've hired plumbers for decades all over the U.S. but never got a second invoice from a completed job!

That was $629.00. The next morning I turned the water on there was still a leak and the water pressure was very low. I called Jones Plumbing they said they would send him back out. He was an hour and a half late, fixed the pressure, but said he didn't touch the part of the irrigation that was leaking and he would come out again for an additional charge. I asked if they come to fix a leak don't they make sure all the piping in the general area is not leaking? He said he would have to talk to the office and they would call me. That was 3 days ago. When we contact them, they do not answer the phone (they claim they have a 24/7 emergency line but don't appear to actally have this), do not call us back or respond to our emails, and have made us wait almost a week for them to even come out to inspect the issue--even though by that time, the clog resolved itself. Also, they gave us a discount to give them a 5-star rating, so we did that at the time of our relining, but we are removing our review because of their inability to respond efficiently when dealing with issues with the system they installed. Unfortunately, we are stuck using them because, if we use anyone else, our warranty is void.

All calls to their office now go to another plumbing company who doesn't honor the warranty. curaFlo is N expiry plumbing lining. Only warranty is 15 years. Over time the lining disintegrates and breaks off. We now have a water leak under our bedroom and hallway floors. Another company is doing repairs and diverting pipe over the ceiling.
