Brandon from Resurrection Plumbing out of Escondido arrived and said we would have to get a contractor to remove all the downstairs ceiling popcorn before he could tear into it to fix . He gives me a phone number to some friends that do that type of work . This would have cost me an arm and leg as it would have ran in the Thousands . I called a local plumber , within 5 minutes he determined the problem was a Possy temp cartridge in the upstairs shower Knob . Twenty minutes later job completed , Cost 150.00 . I didn't have a full appreciation for nature until our plumber discovered roots going inside our pipes in our yard. I knew roots were powerful, but I had never heard of them making their way into piping. We first suspected something weird was going on with our plumbing when the water pressure on our hose was super weak. No matter what we tried we couldn't fix it. We ignored the problem for a few months but if started to get more annoying, and we also started to experience more strange things happening with our plumbing. Resurrection Plumbing was able to quickly diagnose the "root" issue (get it?? Lol) of our plumbing problem within 30 minutes of showing up. The way this business operates is to scam its home warranty customers by collecting the fee, then promise to do the work on a later visit, and then never actually fix anything or respond after. All the bad reviews you see here represent this scam business model. Here is my individual experience that mirrors all the other reviews on Yelp: Resurrection arrives to diagnose leak and why garbage disposal is not working. Says there is no leak and that the garbage disposal obviously is dead but he doesn't have a replacement with him to replace it. Then he says he *can* replace right now, but it will be a more expensive replacement and he needs another $150. I decline the extortion upcharge, he collects the service fee and promises to return with the garbage disposal to do the repair. Never returns or calls. I call their office lady who doesn't speak english multiple times, she tells me "he is coming today" he never shows up. Call owner Coy, who tells me Justin will call me. Justin never calls me. Call Coy again, he starts telling me Justin is busy on jobs and he can't do anything about scheduling it or getting Justin on the phone to schedule it even though he is the owner. Rinse repeat with the next customer, scam complete. In addition, Coy makes no secret that he doesn't care about your inconvenience or that his company has a clear pattern of customer abuse, just read his responses to the Yelp reviews here. Its never his fault and he actually told me "you've got to respect that Justin is busy and can't call you back." Ever? This company is HORRIBLE! Wish I would've never let them come service my home. Complete waist of time. My home warranty sent them out to fix my plumbing problem and they tried to make me pay a ton of money that was completely unnecessary. The guy told me it would cost me $475 for them to run a water jet through my pipe line and it would clear out the stoppage. Then I called my warranty company and they told me it should be included. The guy then told me that the water jet did not clear my pipe line and they would need to run new pipelines through and it would cost me $8000 to do so. He left a big mess and ruined my floors along with cracking my concrete in my driveway! Run far away from this company they will rob you if you let them! Resurrection plumbing is a scam. They work through home warranties. I went through my warranty which was $75 to fix a mainline clog. We needed hydro-jetting. The plumber came out and gave me a speech about why he can't fix it properly without getting on the roof and that means it's not covered under warranty. What it means is he wasn't going to get up on the roof for $75 even though he runs through WARRANTY. So, not only did he deny the work, he quoted me $1100 to hydro-jet my pipes. The going rate for hydro-jetting is $500. After I told him I wouldn't pay that much he said he would run a camera through the pipe. The camera "cleared the clog" according to this man. However, as you can see from the photo the clog is anything but clear. All he did was put a hole in it and leave me with a problem that will come back in a matter of weeks or months. I will NEVER call this company. I suggest you be careful using them if you use them at all. It's a SCAM. read more

I would not recommend this company to do any repairs, especially on higher end fixtures. We submitted a service request for our shower with our home warranty more than two months ago and it is still unresolved. The first time they came out they assessed the issue and ordered the wrong part. And now and the company claims the part is still on back order. Secondly they pulled the old part out of the shower valve making it completely inoperable the entire time. We've continuously asked the company for over 3 weeks to return the old part to make the shower operable again. The company has failed to respond with any urgency as we continue to wait for the part, even when they have committed to returning it. Not a reliable company. American Home Shield sent us RP and Dom came to our appointment and discovered what we thought was our water heater leaking was actually our pipes (our house was built with Quest Pipes and we kept having leaks from their lack of quality). Dom was so kind with trying to help us and find us ways to save money instead of upselling us. My husband and I decided to go forward with having them replumb the whole house and so we had Dom, Eric, Coy, and Ernie at our house for a week, working hard to get us set up as soon as possible. They were AMAZING at communicating, swept AND mopped everyday after they finished, and were hard workers. Awesome experience! These guys were sent out to my house for a plumbing repair through my home warranty company. They called me as promised to confirm the appointment and showed up as scheduled. The team was friendly and got to work right away on the problem. My repair was in a tricky spot but they took the time and effort to get it done and do it right. Coy was extremely informative on the repair and was easy to deal with. Although this repair was covered by the home warranty company, I would not hesitate to contact Resurrection Plumbing for any plumbing services I need outside of my warranty. This is just the kind of service you'd expect from a quality plumbing company and in speaking with him about his rates, they are far less expensive than the more well known plumbers you see on TV. This is one of the worst companies I have ever had the displeasure dealing with. This company came out as part of the home warranty claim and explained that our drained needed to be "chain whipped" or "reinstated" and said that our warranty would never cover this and asked for a cash payment of approximately 300 to fix the issue. We wanted to go through warranty and warranty did end up approving what Coy (the owner) suggested. Then, he proceeds to cancel the service requests on his side and completely ignoring phone calls from my husband and me for DAYS. After talking to the warranty company, they resubmitted the request and it was canceled again. This happened for the third time and Coy told my husband on the phone that he never got the service request. 10 minutes later it was canceled again and this time Warranty told me that Coy said we (customers) were verbally abusive to him. This is completely untrue and this company is extremely unethical and it's a complete scam and waste of our time. We will be submitting a BBB complaint. I don't know what his reason was for not taking this request (warranty doesn't pay enough?) but the way that this was handled is outrageous - and two weeks later because of this guy our drain is still clogged. RUN from this company unless you want the very WORST customer service you have ever had. Update: after reading some other reviews, it seems like there is a pattern - collecting a service call fee from warranty and trying to get the customer to pay cash for the actual service, lying that it wouldn't be covered by the warranty. read more

Dude claimed he would see me next day because it was the whole house between 3pm-7pm but when the time came around I got no call no text no confirmation. THis company was sent to my house by American Home Shield to replace a leaking electric water heater. I get back a quote for over $400 on the story that code requires that they install the "water relief valve" in the brand new water heater and that they "need" to replace two copper corrugated water lines. First every new water heater in America has to be built at the factory with a new water pressure relief valve-- there is nothing for a plumber to do -- it is already in the new water heater-- they wanted $200 for what? Second the copper lines are in good shape and do not need replacing and even if they were replaced it would take all of ten minutes to replace them and screw the nuts on the incoming and outgoing pipe and to the water heater nipples -- surely this is not worth over $200! They were also getting paid by AHS to install the new water heater and then they wanted me to pay for completely unnecessary work to pad their fees on this simple job. To add insult to injury-- despite my never agreeing to pay them any fees for coming out to look at the work -- they were paid by AHS for this and the email I received said $0 fees to contractor for inspection- they emailed me an invoice for $60 after I canceled this installation with AHS.I am not paying them unsurprisingly. The only thing they are interested in is resurrecting their bank account at my expense--- lots of other plumbers out there that at least only do work that is necessary -- Bunch of baloney -i had a new water heater installed and the plumber did not install a thermal expansion tank - ahs specifically said a " pressure relief valve" - which is already in the water heater. And charging hundreds of dollars to screw on two corrugated lines is crazy - ten minutes work - so your rate is hundreds of dollars per hour? Make sure you get specific quote -and make them agree to give you a free quote - so you don't get stuck between a trip charge and a high quote. Screwing on a couple copper inlet and outlet tubes is not rocket science-- your not doing brain surgery -- And ahs does not pay for modifications but they do pay for the normal installation and it is not code that copper corrugated lines need replacing every time. read more

Do not use this company. They are the worst. I submitted a claim through my home warranty, and they were contracted out. We have a plumbing stoppage and are without water! They were supposed to contact us within 24 hours... we NEVER GOT A CALL! My husband and I left multiple messages explaining that we are without water and the house smelled horrible due to the sewer blockage. No response. I called the home warranty company to request a new plumber...instead, they called resurrection plumbing, were able to speak to the plumber who said they would be calling me to set up the service. THEY NEVER CALLED. Today (4 days later) when I followed up, their voicemail indicated that they are out of town for the next 4 days!!! Absolutely zero common courtesy. I first spoke with reception to verify they'd clear from roof and for a matched price. Explained exactly the problem and fix needed as I've done this before and she called him to verify. Called me back and said no problem. When Coy arrived he said he would only jet through roof and would be $375 instead of $175 quoted. I'm sure he scams and up sells others in need so beware. I was very pleased with the level of service from Jesse and the Resurrection Plumbing team. I got connected to Resurrection through my home warranty company (American Home Shield). Jesse called to get details on the leak we had in our kitchen to get further details and he said he would be out to check on it asap... he showed up within about an hour and diagnosed the issue and started working on it... it was a multi stage issue, which required communication and pre-approvals from my home warranty company and Jesse handled that all seamlessly and without hassle to my wife or me. Very easy to contact and quick to respond. Even though I didn't have to pay directly for the services, I did have visibility to the pricing and all costs seemed very reasonable. Coy came down to Point Loma from Escondido in the pouring rain and assessed our clean out as he got drenched outside and identified it was a grease blockage. Within just a few hours of placing the claim online, they called to see if we had time for them to come service our needs TODAY... and they were there in 30 minutes!! We had a clogged drain that rendered all of our plumbing inoperable. We called Resurrection because we used hen a few years ago for a similar issue. They had a team out to us within an hour of calling them and the problem was fixed within an hour after their arrival. They were professional, courteous, quick and reasonable. The office staff was friendly and informative. I was given a 0800-1300 window. However, the day of service I receive a phone call of the delay from the office around 1130. An hour later finally receive the phone call from field agent, Coy, to notify me that they are on the way. They called me first thing in the morning (830AM) and moved their schedule to make sure they fixed things the same day. The arrived during the 4 hour window and fixed things promptly. Coy and his team were excellent!! Coy came in an inspected my clogged toilet and unfortunately was not avle to unclog it with a simple snake; he had to vaccuum the toilet out. Apparently my toilet was also old and had multiple problems as it was dated from 1997. Coy gave me a great quote for a new toilet and installation as well as the vaccuming out. He also took care of disposing of the old toilet! Not only did Coy and his team take care of this nuance, but just made my life easier. In and out in 2 hrs at the most. Great service. I am a member of American Home Shield. It's a home owner warranty service. My toilet was leaking so AHS sent out Resurectuon Dumbing. The guy said it was a leak and he'd have to get parts. I said I needed it fixed ASAP and he said AHS needs my diagnosis. I said DO NOT STOP THIS SERVICE CALL but I'd call AHS. The moron then said I did not want my toilet fixed. Resurrection Dumbing won't respond cause this is the truth. They never answer their phone and are clearly boys in a mans field.
