I would've given them a 10 out of 10 - just recently the electrician that I requested came to my house to work on something -after he left I noticed damage that had been done to woodwork near where he worked. I did not see him cause this damage, and I'm sure that it was accidental, but there is no other explanation. He is sure he didn't cause the damage and I am sure he did- that's not even the problem. The problem is Macson's attitude. The owner has denied that there was any problem on Macson's part and there's nothing they will do to help. I don't think this sounds like good customer relations at all and although I would like to have one of those electricians work for me again, I don't think Macson's stand behind their work. No I have to hire a finished carpenter to remedy this problem. People make mistakes and good companies admit that and back up their employees. This was certainly not done in this case.

They quickly diagnosed what the problem was (a pool light that a previous electrician hadn't properly disconnected), fixed the issue, and replaced an older, non-weatherproof GFCI outlet in the shed that would have started to cause issues. A few hours later and we now have a new microwave installed, two ceiling fans, a light fixture and a new switch for the kitchen light. I am so relieved to have a working home, finally. The previous owners had some really odd wiring put in and had the ceiling fans on dimmer switches, which is a great way to burn out the fan, so the dimmers were replaced with simple on/off switches. They also rewired the clothes dryer and put it on its own circuit. I'm very impressed. This has been one of the better experiences I've had with contractors. Sean and I also had some wild coincidences - the previous owner of my home moved and Fish Electric did some work on their new home a few years ago, then comes to the house they used to live in to finally correct all the electrical issues, which we had been putting off for years. High praise for Fish Electric! They're like doctors of electricity. You would do very well by contracting them as they will not let you down. They're very confident and proud of the work they do, which is much appreciated since we've had quite a few other contractors here for other issues who didn't seem to care one way or the other. Jake responded to my question almost immediately and unlike other companies came out to look at the project - which made me feel better about the information that he gave me. The quote came quickly after his visit. After a few more questions/answers- I was able to book him within a short period of time. He did not insist on using his own equipment as another company did. He installed a security light on my garage, rerouted a conduit to my garage and installed an attic fan where there hadn't been one before. He vented it! Provided an extra switch for the fan! They've always been affordable, professional and efficient in their services. This past time we had them out, our washer died and we think it's from a power surge we had from a downed power line about 2 weeks ago. I was able to get a electrician out the next morning who not only replaced two outlets, but also checked on a few other issues around the house while he was here. He went above and beyond with the service call, and didn't try to oversell us on services. He did mention their protection plan, but we opted out since it's so sporadic that we need them here it wasn't worth the $12.95 a month. (We find this very affordable!) Overall they're a great company and the staff is pleasant overall. Will use them again for small projects around the house.
