    Set up visit for electrical work. NEVER called, NEVER showed. AVOID this company. Unreliable.

    I contacted Nick through Yelp and explained my remodel job (large remodel with rewiring of most of…read more1950's home) thoroughly over the phone and he agreed to come over to bid the job on a Friday. He sent me an appointment and I accepted it and I said, "See you then". I didn't see that afterwards he asked for my address which I thought we had already discussed because he wanted to know if it was within his work area. We had an appointment for Monday morning between 9:30 and 10:30. Come Monday - no show, no text, nothing. Finally at 10:15 I go on Yelp to see what's going on and see his questions, so I quickly answered them and asked if he could still make it and he said no - he already made his schedule and since I never answered the questions - he didn't include me in it. He had sent me an appointment request and I accepted - which automatically put it on my calendar and I believe his. If I didn't answer his question right away, he had two days, why didn't he re-ask the question so Yelp would send me another notice before he did his schedule? (Especially since during our back and forth about the project he didn't answer me for a day and I had to do that to him to get him to respond!) So on Monday he said he might fit me in sometime during the week but probably not before Friday, I was upset, but said, OK, please let me know when you could fit me in. He said he would. That was two weeks ago - no call, no yelp reach out, nothing. When I searched back in the reviews before I wrote this review, I found that Nick had done this to someone else to - almost exactly the same thing. Doesn't look like Nick has customer service skills or just doesn't want to work for women. Negative 10 Stars from Me

After the service was completed - i was shocked by the reviews here. I literally found this company from ad sent to my house in those value packs with coupons and this was the second business i called due to service call being so expensive and Hoover offered a coupon. (YES PLEASE) Let me just say - they were more worried about my plumbing then i was. Lol! I was very cautious of not saying it was an EMERGENCY because you know other business like to charge extra but initally when i called it was a leak pin hole leak on my pipes. The female on the phone (I don't remember her name) was trying to offer me a date which she had to move something around but i didn't want her to do anything extra since it wasn't bad (AT THAT TIME). We booked after a few hours, then my plumbing escalated - of course i called back and she was happy to fit me in. Please note their scheduling are just like cabling hours they'll give you a large window but they will be there!!! After getting a quote which John the technician who answered all my questions and we even joked a little due to the situation - I felt like I was made a priority. He came out on Friday and was able to get the work done on Monday - the two guys (Rhyan/Dustin) working on it was awesome. They didn't mine when i asked to take pictures because the worked looked so great and they were reporting everything especially if they needed to leave to run to the hardware store. I was happy with pricing and also they have a membership which will give you a discount along with other benefits which covers future services calls as well. Get it!!! They send you a FULL REPORT with pictures of the finish job and not just one - everything area. Will i be using them in the future?! YES and i'm a VIP member. Lol! Happy plumbing!!!

    I am stunned at the bad experience with this company! I had worked with Hoover for plumbing and…read morehad a good experience. They talked me into "coverage". They came out to inspect my HVAC prior to the start of the air conditioning season. The technician spent all of his time evaluating the furnace and immediately indicated there was a crack in the Heat Exchanger and told me it needed to be replaced. Tried to show me the "crack" but it was difficult to see. When the tech came back with the sales guy the next day-he kind of back walked the fact that there was actually a crack. All they wanted to focus on was replacing the whole HVAC system and slamming the brand currently had and the company I had servicing this system. My BS detector was going off at this point. I had another reputable HVAC evaluate the unit and was told it did not have a crack in it and did not need to be replaced. All Hoover wanted to do was upsell and focus on selling me a newer side exhaust A/C unit. The inspection was 100% an opportunity to generate a sale only. Even after I very clearly indicated I did not want to replace right now. Think twice before engaging these folks.

Sean and TJ arrived within the scheduled time window and immediately began work. A few hours later and we now have a new microwave installed, two ceiling fans, a light fixture and a new switch for the kitchen light. I am so relieved to have a working home, finally. The previous owners had some really odd wiring put in and had the ceiling fans on dimmer switches, which is a great way to burn out the fan, so the dimmers were replaced with simple on/off switches. They also rewired the clothes dryer and put it on its own circuit. I'm very impressed. This has been one of the better experiences I've had with contractors. Sean and I also had some wild coincidences - the previous owner of my home moved and Fish Electric did some work on their new home a few years ago, then comes to the house they used to live in to finally correct all the electrical issues, which we had been putting off for years. High praise for Fish Electric! They're like doctors of electricity. You would do very well by contracting them as they will not let you down. They're very confident and proud of the work they do, which is much appreciated since we've had quite a few other contractors here for other issues who didn't seem to care one way or the other. Fish is the opposite of that. If you need quality electrical work, I would not hesitate to recommend them! :)
