They have a big selection of Xbox and PlayStation games. The Wii section is kind of small but that's my fault for still playing on my Wii. They have new games on the shelves every day, so if you don't see something you want come back another day! I've only ever bought games here (never traded in games) and their prices are fair! Less than GameStop and about the same as eBay, but I like buying here more than eBay because I know for sure the games are actually tested lol. I have bought some plushies and if you want Pikmin, Animal Crossing, or Kirby I know they have a lot of those. Overall if you like actually owning physical games, I recommend coming here! My girlfriend loved it too since they had plenty of cute stuff for her to look at, like keychains and Smiskis, so there was something for both of us to enjoy. The staff were also incredibly chill. We accidentally stayed past closing by about 10 minutes. I kept apologizing and telling the employee I'd get out as quickly as possible, and he genuinely didn't seem bothered at all. I really appreciated that about trip there. The ONLY thing that I would like to see some improvement on is I had difficulty getting the price stickers off in one piece. However, the rare and expensive games in the glass cases, they put the price on top of a sticky note instead of directly on the case, which protects them from that issue. So I really can't even complain about the stickers on the other common stuff, when they're going out of their way for the stuff that actually matters like that. Overall, definitely one of the better (or possibly best) game stores I've been to, especially if you're looking for rarer games. Great selection, cool stuff, awesome environment, and chill staff.

Most of the new vinyl selection will be of movie and video game OST, with a slight focus on Japanese anime and music (Japanese electronic, jazz, etc). The old vinyl selection will have a mix of eclectic and obscure bands as well as a few more mainstream/popular albums, and prices are fair. Just don't expect to find the latest pop release here. I've picked up a few vintage records here, and they all played perfectly without noise. It's always fun to visit to discover some oldies, and they are constantly stocking new items. Also, one of the staff let me know Al is named after the owner's dog (so cute and it's the logo of the store too!). I believe they also own HIFI LOFI across the street, which you should definitely check out as well.

My only negative is the large amount of games without original packaging on the shelves. A couple of sections were a sea of white with hand written names. We walked in the front door and there were groups of people playing board games and video games. Not a single person looked up to greet us, or even acknowledge us. They continued to play their games and ignored us. We stood there for a few minutes waiting to see if anyone would even LOOK in our direction to no avail. We looked around, didn't see many board games for sale, still not a single person said hello. I looked at him, he looked at me, and we promptly left. I will never go here again. I have never in my life walked into a game store and felt so unwelcome! It's great to have a place to play games and all that jazz, but I really think the employees should be able to stop playing a game for a moment and work on at least saying hello to their customers... One of the best book shops in Seattle for used and out of print books. I've been coming here for…read moreover 20 years. The smell of this bookshops brings me back to when my uncle, the late David Ishii had his shop in Pioneer Square. Whenever i visit Magus, certain book covers and genres bring me back to a time and place of nostalgia. I also geek out on the weight of a book, the binding, and cultural significance. For example, I love Italian and French books and the Feltrinelli publishers. Magus also has a good selection of Dog Man for my kids at a good value.
