May have been a better experience if they kept up with their fame however it is all about money and not experience. The place is nice, and the Range Safety Officers are top notch and courteous. However everything else is overpriced, starting from the ammunition. Yet it is oversubscribed so they can get away with it. I went to get a new handgun, only one(!), but was quite turned off by the staff brushing me off as they were so busy with other clients. Their membership prices are the most expensive in the tristate area. Their FFL prices are twice as much and everything else on display is market up 60% or more. Simple items like electronic ear protection is around $45 at Amazon where it started at $79 at Reloderznj. I am not going back, I would suggest Gun For Hire in Woodland Park. It's a shame they are so money oriented, the place was literally 5 minutes from my home. Oh well. Hope this helps to all "moderate" gun enthusiasts in the area. All the best! read more

I regret that it took me so long to finally check out this place, after months of driving by it and my shooting-enthusiast daughter BEGGING me to go. This range is absolutely ripping people off. I have a friend who just got her license and went here to purchase first gun. Instead if having her try out several rentals to let her see what felt right for her, they totally took advantage of her and sold her a Smith & Wesson MP 9mm EZ for $800 ! That gun can be purchased anywhere else for under $500. Grab a Gun has it listed new for $469.99. It's a small snappy gun for a woman, and although it does rack easily for someone with weak hands, the recoil is substantial. Now, they want to charge her another $150 to show her how to use it! This was my second visit to Reloaderznj. I had to check it out (last week) and felt good about returning today to visit the range. The staff could not have been nicer or friendlier. Every one was so service oriented, especially to a newbie like myself. The counter staff took their time with me and I never felt rushed. I was able to try 5 different handguns to compare prior to purchasing. I will return soon (most likely next Tuesday when they offer a special rate after 2:00 pm) to try the rest of the guns on my well researched list. The safety crew on the shooting range was incredible. I felt comfortable and at ease knowing any one of them would (and did) answer all of my questions. I can't wait to go back. I've seen some of the reviews that complain about the price of ammo. Face it, no one has any and it's a seller's market. It took 3 months to get the FIC so more people are buying firearms and ammunition at a record pace. It's still worth it, though if you're like me and seriously shopping right now. Iam a member, I bring all my own equipment & want to check in quickly. A few times there are 1-2 ahead of me who want to try different guns to rent, BUT can't make up their minds. So I have to wait 5-10-15mins. Before they choose a gun. I get the attention of another staff member, BUT she says she CAN NOT CHECK ME IN. So I have to WAIT!!!! The employee should tell the people to take their time & in the meanwhile I need to check someone in & I'll come back to you shortly. And then check me in & THEN go BACK to them & rent them a gun. The staff is so friendly and the RSOs harbored a fun, safe, and friendly learning environment. The range itself trumps all the others in the area. Brand new, unique, modern, clean, and plenty of space to move (and park!). A great rental wall with a lot of choices and displayed in a fun way. My son and I are both new to firearm ownership. We've had limited experiences with holding, handling and firing firearms. We recently purchased a shotgun and pistol. After a few weeks of getting comfortable with our firearms we went to Reloaderz. While we we anxious, we were both relatively confident and comfortable walking into the range. When we entered the range we told the range safety officer that we were novices. I wish I remembered his name, but he was great. He literally said "if you've never handled a shotgun before, I'm your guy". He then spent about 10 minutes showing us all the features of each gun and talking us through aiming, firing, range safety, etc. As you can imagine, that put us both at ease and we had a great first experience. We probably would have been ok without his help but the fact that he spent so much time with us really made a difference. Simply put, I highly recommend. read more

I recently attended a Woman's Basic Firearm class. The class was excellent, Jacquelyn Reid was the instructor with Paula her assistant, they instructed us on all safety measures when handling a firearm. The class was taught on how to hold the gun, how to stand/aim and pull the trigger. I have always been fearful of firearms and after this class I'm respectful but not so fearful. After the instructional part of the class we went into the firing range and put our newly acquired knowledge to firing the handgun with individual supervision. I highly recommend this course. Overall great experience at this fun range. I have been to RTSP in the past and this is a much cleaner facility and brings in the latest technologies to the customers. Visiting on the day of the grand opening had its perks too! We rented two lanes and 4 different 9mm guns. Been here twice. Went the other day and I had a question about the safety on a gun. The range officer was rude and cocky and acted like I didn't know anything about shooting. the range safety officer then told me I don't know how to hold a pistol the right way. But when I've gone to other ranges no one says anything on the way I'm holding the gun. The range officer then continued to stand behind me and constantly watch me. It actually made me very nervous and I was confused why he was doing this. This ruined the whole trip for me to be honest. read more

avoid this place like the plague, second time here, first time was no prize either but that's a different story, so 6 of us paid for 3 ports on their Halloween shoot, 65 bucks a port, got into the ports unloaded the firearms and was immediately yelled at to see our ammo, that's a first for me in shooting at ranges across the country for 12 years, was told we couldn't shoot our ak and ar because we had steel core ammo..... that's interesting being steel core ammo is and has been federally illegal and also not commercially loaded but i guess because i didn't have my bulletproof vest on i wouldn't know that right? also if you stick a magnet to steel CASE ammo yes it would be magnetic..... so anyway were not even at the bad parts, so the only firearm we were left with was a 22 a/r and a few pistols.... which we were yelled at to see that ammo as well..... being the 22 was a brand new firearm i placed the target at 10 yards to make sure it was safe and at least hitting the paper before i placed the target out further and began to further sight it in...... again same rso yelling about the target being to close..... i apologized and explained it was new and not sighted in..... was yelled at that i have no idea about velocity...... yes i understand that a piece of paper being at 10-15 yards doesn't mean anything on a paper target.... but again i wasn't wearing my bulletproof vest and med kit so i must be a idiot, being i shoot all the time i wear electronic earphones, i had them on and i guess the rso didn't realize and was standing 5 feet away from me talking shit about me to another rso..... yeah real nice like i cant hear you dude... " look at him trying to sight in a 22"...... never in my life has someone bad mouthed me like that for sighting in a rifle, so being we are only 10 minutes into our 1.5 hours that we paid over 200 dollars for we continued to shoot the pistols we brought, mind you the rso's are all hanging out with their friends at the other end of the range having fun rapid shooting a desert eagle but that's ok, so in the ad it was 65 dollars per port for 1.5 hours..... they shut the range down after a hour...... so naturally we asked for a manager, we were told he would be right out, as we went to wash our hands the person who told us he would be right out was in the bathroom talking to the manager saying we were "complaining", after he came out the bathroom we informed him that we herd him and the entire situation which he proceeded to tell us we have to talk to another manager who isn't here, which again we got no answers from her call after call, so here i am doing the only thing i can, i will be calling the better business bureau, and have informed EVERYONE i know who shoots to avoid this place and never give them a dime again, i will not promote any other range on here but do yourself a favor and go somewhere you will be treated like a human being because this place is not it, hopefully when business slows down people will just stop going here AVOID AVOID AVOID sincerely lanes 2,3 and 4 read more

I very rarely leave a review, but I felt so mistreated at reloaderz I wanted to let future or new shooters there are much better places to spend your time and money. I little about myself, I've been a gun owner since 1999 and an avid shooter basically my entire adult life. My experience at reloaderz was as follows, 1st my family and I thought it would different to check out reloaderz Halloween special 1 and half hour zombie night. That's 1 1/2 hour of range time, we had 3 ports at $65 per port, if your a new customer you have to pay an additional $10 per person for a 1 time membership card which they don't really use because they still ask for your license firearms id, first born, and blood sample, then when you finally get inside to shoot the range masters (sure) are on top of you. We were told we could not shoot 223 ammo because it was steel core, which if you do a little research does not exist anymore it's illegal for any armors to produce they were steel cases fmj lead core. Then sighting in 22 rifle I was told that because it's a long gun the target needs to be at 15yds, it's a 22 rifle, what does it matter if I fire a 22 from a handgun or a rifle. After all the bs or 1 1/2 hour of range time was cut to 1 hour we asked and showed the range master (WINK WINK) the email and he told us we need to speak to management, that's when it got worse, we were told sorry nothing we can do. Perhaps I have bad timing! I've been there 3 time since they opened. the first time the ventilation system wasn't working and we had to stop shooting. The second trip, there was some confusion about a gun someone purchased, the customer claimed it was used, the guy behind the counter said it was new, this went back and forth for ten minutes. The next trip there was a commotion in the retail area. I could hear in it the range which is pretty well insulated. I put my gun down and poked my head out (I thought someone got hurt or they were getting robbed) and saw a woman screaming at one of the managers or owner. I went back in to finished my shooting, a little while later I heard range officers laughing. Apparently someone there was "less than faithful" (with a coworker no less) and his wife caught him. Way too much drama at this place and that type of drama and guns don't mix. There wont be a 4th time for me. read more
