We picked up a porchetta for the holiday and a hush fell over the table...every bite was succulent and cooked to perfection which was lovely because my husband took point and was able to easily handle it from the instructions. Now the bad. (Entirely unserious) Oh. The bad is that the young man at the counter didn't physically twist my arm to get 2 orders of EVERYTHING. Being that I was attending a pool party today I offered to pick up sandwiches for lunch for a group of 9 and called in an order for 2 hours later. Sadly 3 of the sandwiches arrived on ciabatta bread instead of focaccia, which was quite disappointing as the only reason the sandwiches were picked were specifically to get the focaccia. And, one of the sandwiches we asked for no sauce as it was spicy and she can't eat spicy, and it arrived with sauce, smothered all over. I understand everyone has an off day but almost half our orders were wrong. If they had run out of focaccia for example, I wish they would just have called us so we could have adjusted our order. Not even sure if that's the case or if they were just rushing in the kitchen and just threw everything on ciabatta but either way today was not a good day for Morano's.

I would usually go down to brooklyn to get certain foods, especially eel for my mom. this spot is great for being close, the low prices, and carrying the fresh items they offer. the owner is really nice. my mom is beyond enthralled lol. (not an eel girl) $10 for grilled eel that is hard to locally find and it being this fair price is lovely. will be coming back regularly!
