As this would be a fairly extensive project, I took 8 different bids and asked many questions about how each would complete the job. I also researched the final 3 to make sure they would do a good job based on their online reviews. At the end, I decided to go with Empire not because they were the cheapest, but because I was convinced that they would do the best job. This is important as I'd like my driveway to last a long time. Empire wasn't able to get started right away because they are booked solid. This is a good sign, but that means you need to plan ahead. Seamus was able to slot me in for a week since I'm considered a small project. Then covid happened... At this point, we all try to be reasonable and I told Seamus to let me know when they would be allowed to work again. Seamus is a good communicator and called the week before they could start. Given that they would be outside and in masks, this is a home improvement project that can still go ahead. Every day, Seamus, David and the team would come to my home at 8am and work till about 5pm. They wore face coverings and maintained social distance when possible. They also picked up each day. They did a great job on everything. It's been a month later and I've walked the driveway several times and still very pleased. I would highly recommend Empire.

We hired M Steven Construction to do the concrete around my home and create a small patio where we…read morehad a small grassy area in front of my home. This small grassy area was an eye sore with dead bushes and weeds. Manuel and his crew removed the dead bushes and weeds from the grassy area, framed it out to create a concrete boarder, then added pavers in the center exactly how we asked. He very accommodating, listened to our ideas snd worked with us to transform this area. In the back he not only did a great job creating a concrete space we can now use as a patio but also removed an old wooden deck we had in the back that really needed to go. He also resurfaced the foundation wall surrounding the house. Manuel and his crew were professional and easy to work with. His price was competitive and at the end of the day my property was left clean and neat. I recommend them and will be using them again in the spring for more work needed on our home.

We had a ton of work to do. We had plans from an engineer as required by our building department, in short; lots to do and a bunch of restrictions. Jesse and Lauro carefully reviewed everything with me and gave the good and bad to me straight. They were practical and prompt at every turn. The whole crew was incredible. Every single person who came was amazing and I felt like they were always giving their all. Our city made my project way more difficult than expected and Driveway Masters found a way to make it work while being available and communicative about the additional costs due to my city's additional requirements.
