After hurting my back body surfing I was desperate to get a massage. I called around and Emily at the Relaxation Spa was the first to respond. She said, by text, that she had an opening the next morning. I said that I would take it. Later she called me and said that it would have to be the following day because she decided to give that time to someone else. The morning of the appointment she called and asked me to come early. I arrived at the agreed time and texted that I was there. She was 10 minutes late coming back. I have been getting massages for the last 35 - years and this one one of the worst massages that I have ever had. She did some things quite well, like using her feet when she walked on my back, but seemed to have no ability to tune in to me and what was going on in my body. It felt like I was just a body that she was doing set techniques to. In sum: she was late, then ended early (because she scheduled back to back and the next person was waiting), was on auto-pilot - going through the motions, and charged much more than I have ever paid before. I would never recommend Emily or the Relaxation Spa to anyone! read more

This place is awful! The woman that owns it will try to scam you into reflexology (for additional $ 35-50) that they don't tell you about. Any normal Spa will give you a foot massage as a part of the cost of pedicure! Be ware!! It's in a basement of a realty office - no AC and no pedicure chairs. You sit in an uncomfortable chair with a bucket at your feet! I would never consider stepping foot back in here. Extremely overpriced for service for service & horrible atmosphere. read more

Went with my mother for a mani-pedi. We had such a wonderful experience we had reflexology and a chair massage. Emily and Claire were both lovely people and great at their jobs. Back massage was the best part. Great pressure. Left feeling much less tense. Somewhat hard to find (go through alley after Murdock's Fudge). Look for spa sign. Worth every cent. read more

Silk on steel is how I would describe the entire experience at Relaxation Spa.What an unexpectedly transformative experience. My companion and I booked reflexology appts after seeing a sign in the window a few steps from the Kelley Inn where we are staying in Martha Vineyard. But it wasn't long before owner and trained massage therapist Emily introduced me to her new full body massage table where both my companion and I indulged in 60+ mins each. Emily, the delightful owner and skillfull (certified) massage therapist, delivered each of us massages that were a therpeutic as they were unplugging. Targeted, knowledgeable and effective massage but delivered with kindness, compassion and an interest in healing. Don't let Emily's small stature fool you; she can untie the tightest of knots on any man or woman. Thank you Emily for the wonderful experience. read more

They saved my vacation. Before discovering Relation Spa, I was having a dreadful vacation. That is until I discovered the Relaxation Spa in September. I had a wonderful couple of days of pampering. The owner gave me the best pedicure I've ever had. This company is very green and clean which I appreciated very much. They provided water and green tea. I was traveling with 4 other women. Once they discovered I was getting pampering, they too joined in with pampering. I personally had a pedicure, reflexology and the best chair massage I've ever had! The guy's hands are anointed! During my massage he stretched me so well. During our return flight, I took a hard fall on the plane. I believe I would have been seriously injured if I hadn't received such wonderful pampering. So, thanks Reflexology Spa for excellent service. My companions and I had great pampering over 3 days. We had a massage, pedicures, manicures with fill ins, and reflexology treatments. They are conveniently located by the waterfront next to lots of restaurants and local shops. The spa has arrangements with one of the restaurants. You can order h'orderves and wine/champagne delivered. The spa is a great place, with great people, and a wonderful location. The prices are very reasonable. Scheduling was easy. The (free) local bus will drop you off just a few blocks (3-4) from the spa. Thank you for turning a bad vacation into a a fantastic pampering vacationing experience that I will never forget. I had an amazing combo massage at Relaxation Spa. I have massages on a regular basis and have done so for years, so for me to experience an amazing massage says a lot. Best hidden gem on the island!! My daughter and I went in for gel manicures and emerged with even better shellac manicures PLUS! Emily, the owner, couldn't have been more welcoming and gave me a wonderful hand and arm massage. Anne assisted with our the manicures and gave me an amazing back massage. Emily is amazing! A group of friends were on the vineyard for a Girls Weekend and we wanted pedicures and a manicure for a friend's birthday. We called on the day of and Emily added us in at the end of the day, staying open late to accommodate us. It's the cheapest manicure and pedicure ($20 express mani, $36 express pedi but the most in depth "express" I've experienced) on the island. She ordered us wine for our wait and chatted with us. I am a big fan of foot reflexology and was excited to find The Relaxation Spa right after a yummy breakfast. I had been having a " knee issue" and was so pleased to have it alleviated with a treatment from Emily the owner. This Spa is very relaxing. I also purchased a small sample of lemon essential oil that smelled so great !! I have found the oil to be energizing and have used it in a lot of different ways... This was definitely a memorable experience on my vacation to Martha's Vineyard! Stop there and get a foot reflexology treatment if you are lucky enough to spend time on Marthas' Vineyard. read more
