I came here in a bind after learning that my original threading salon closed and moved probably due to Covid :(. I found Rekha's on Yelp which was near my next destination. I came on Halloween mid day and the salon was empty and I was happy that Rekha was available. She is clean, hygienic and gentle. This was one of my less painful threading experiences. They have a stamp card and accept credit card with tips accepted on the card. They are located upstairs on the second floor (same shopping center as Bakers and Baristas). Came here after not getting my eyebrows done like the ENTIRE pandemic. Rekha did not do my eyebrows but another young lady did them. She did a great job. She asked if I wanted a clean up, wanted them shaped, it was (almost) painless! There's been other times where threading has hurt me so much. Rekha's is the best threading salon I've ever been to! Even before Rekha opened up her threading salon in Artesia, she worked at Sona Chandi and was always the most popular person there. Now at her current shop Rekha and her daughter continue to have top quality service. For one, they really cater to your specific eyebrow needs. My sister, mom, and I all have different eyebrow shapes and preferred thicknesses and they do all of our eyebrows exactly how we want them. If you want more taken off or changed they'll also alter it. Additionally, the salon is clean, the wait is usually not too long, and they're always friendly. Eyebrows cost $11, eyebrow & lip costs $17, and full face costs $30. They're not the cheapest in Artesia, but for the quality they are the best value. Last time I checked their website they also had a $2 off your first visit coupon. If you're looking for a great eyebrow salon, this woman ran small business can't be beat! read more

Moved to nor cal but came back for a visit and got eye brows threaded too. Open until 7 which was nice because I had to work until later. Never been more grateful for this place, it was really had for me to find a threading place in nor cal for a decent price and good service, but they definitely have that quality here and it was only $6 (literally half the price and double the service/skill). It was the owner and her daughter this time and they took their time for a clean and didn't thread off too much, they just cleaned it and it was even so that if I wanted to have it thinner, they could for me. I never noticed it before because I always just went to them for threading but there is definitely a difference in experience, it hurt less to thread here than somewhere else. Love this place, started coming here when they first opened and have always been satisfied with Rekha's work. I like her cause she's more on the conservative side and stays with the more natural look which is important to me. Her place has several salon chairs and offers threading, manicures, and hair care. I believe the walk-ins for threading are always welcome, but for any other service it would be best to call in first. Through the years, her business has definitely grown to where there can be a wait just to have Rekha personally do your threading, but it is well worth it. I have not had her other staff service me, but from the looks of the satisfied clients, I can say that everyone there is equally as qualified and skilled. I came here to give this place a try after reading the reviews, my brows are thick and needed a little cleanup. Rekha did my brows, I showed her a picture of how I wanted it done, and I have to agree with some reviews she's a sweet lady but I noticed that I still had hair in areas that should have been threaded. Also, she trimmed the front of my brows shorter than i wanted but overall my brows look better than how it was. I'd probably only go here if my go-to brow person is not available. read more

I went to get my brows done on the weekend, and left the shop feeling so disappointed. As lady finished doing my eyebrows, she handed me the mirror to make sure I liked them. I looked at my brows and I see a gap/hole into my brow. I was really annoyed because not only did I have a gap in my eyebrow, but she completely messed with the shape. I didn't want her to fix it because she would only mess them up more. Another lady stepped in to help her and managed to somewhat fix the gap, however making my eyebrows thinner. The older lady that did my eyebrows did not know how to thread eyebrows. I will NOT be returning here!!!! read more

I'm giving a four star review because I had two treatments. Hair cut and threading. Maria cut my hair. I asked for a long stacked bob (shorter in the back, longer in the front) and it is sort of what I ended up with. It is shorter in the back, a lot shorter, and it is long in the front; however, it does not flow from the back to the front, and one side is longer than the other by over an inch. I give her one star. I don't know the name of the girl who did my threading, however, she did a great job. It was a bit painful, however that's on me... it's been a while since I've been threaded or waxed. I give her 5 stars. So, I recommend the threading, however, if you want a stylish haircut I wouldn't recommend Maria. read more

I've been going to Rekha for over 2 years now and I've never had a bad experience! I'm so grateful they are now able to open back up due to the pandemic. I walked in and she took my temperature and gave me sanitizer. She sanitized as well.. it felt extremely clean and safe in there! Right now they are only able to do eyebrows, no lip and face which I totally understand. They also no longer hold the thread by their mouth and they now use their necks. I'm sure it's a huge adjustment for them but it looks out for the safety of their customers and I appreciate that. So happy you're back open Rekha!!!!! read more

Threading is painless.. Lies.. Lies.. Lies. I can compare threading to be tortured slowly, very very slowly. Some might like pain but I myself do not. However, unless I want to walk around looking like a furball than threading for me is mandatory. PRICE: Rehka's is my go to place for my threading needs. It's $6.00 for the eyebrows and $10.00 for the eyebrows and upper lips. Rehka and Pooja are the only two I'll allow to touch this face only because they've both managed the skill of threading. Their hands so light and their technique method is close to perfection. Having had a bad experience at Ziba's where the lady thought she was Edward Scissorhands leaving me with cuts all over my face, I learned my lesson the hard way not to go anywhere but Rehka's. LOCATION: It's in a shopping center on the second floor near Cha20 and Tea Station. PARKING: Plenty of parking but park in the back to find the quickest parking spot. TIP: Don't forget to get a stamp card. EXPERIENCE: Fantastic job, friendly staff, clean location and inexpensive prices, what else could one ask for? I stopped in because this threading salon had such great Yelp reviews. It's located at the east end of the two story shopping center on South. Parking was easy and I found it with no problem. Right as I walked in, I was greeted and asked what service I would like. I told the attendant I needed eyebrows and I wanted Rehka to work on them. She remembered my voice from calling the day before which made me feel instantly comfortable. Rehka was very friendly and I gave her a request for the shape I wanted. I had been growing for a couple of weeks. She did one brow and quickly handed me a mirror for approval. I really appreciated this, as it is rare to see one brow before they are both done at a threading salon. Another plus, the service was only $6. I left her a nice tip and thanked her. Overall, I was happy but not in love with my shape. I may continue to grow them for a couple more weeks. I don't blame Rehka, as I had a bad threading experience a couple of months ago my brows are recovering from. I will definitely be back. read more

I almost hate to give her 5 stars because I don't want this place to pack up and be insanely busy! I didn't know about Rekha but saw the salon on the second floor when I was stopping by for tea. Decided to tame my "i've been studying during this gorgeous summer" eyebrows (which were staring to pick up their own lion's roar) and gave this place a shot. Saturday morning around 11am and there were a handful of patrons. A nice tall but shy Indian boy manning the registers and one lady (who I presume is Rekha) on one of the chairs. No one else was working even though there were four other booths set up for threading. I was a little hesitant at first because Rekha seemed to be zooming through her clients. I was starting to worry that perhaps she didn't do a thorough enough job. Nope~ it's not that. *She's EFFICIENT*. I was really impressed by her work. She not only threads extremely gently.. but she does it in such a way to be quick, efficient and detailed. I got the usual brow, lip, chin combo and I was super happy with the shape of my brows. I don't even have much to work with but I was really thrilled with the outcome. She also was attentive enough to realize I was a new customer. She didn't seem to talk much (which I absolutely appreciate~ sometimes there are ladies who yap way too much while you're holding the eyebrow up/down). But the first thing she said to me with a big smile was "You're a new customer no?" Impressive. I do appreciate the stamp card as well. New customers can get $2 off for the first visit (coupon on the website). Website is also well done and user-friendly (satisfied the techie in me). $15 was the standard price for brow/lip/chin. Great price. -$2 + tip with excellent service. I've found the best threading place in cerritos. Worried that once this place picks up business the quality of care may drop (Ziba was like that.. excellent in the beginning then *flush* toilet.) Hmmmm. The past 2 times, I've left unhappy because they didn't listen on keeping my brow thickness. I've only had my brows done by Rekha but she was on vacation 1.5 months ago, so I had to settle for Pooja, her daughter. She didn't listen on keeping my brow thickness. Yesterday I went again and thankfully Rekha was there, but surprisingly she ALSO didn't listen to keeping my brows thick. I don't understand?! I've been here 12x and 10 of those were absolutely fine. I'll need to grow back my brows now and maintain them myself for a little while. read more
