These guys should get 6 stars. The business owner Roger took my call and explained to me right off the bat that locksmiths in Texas must be LICENSED. I already knew this was true. However I appreciated him taking the time to let me know as I have friends that have been victims of private security fraud dealing with an unlicensed provider. My call was just for beefing up the security on our door jambs. We have been having some problems with doors being kicked in around our neighborhood lately. This was not necessarily an emergency but their technician Jack was here the same day I called. (Last Saturday) I received a courtesy call and he showed up directly after that. Within an hour and a half I had two Tuff strikes installed and some miscellaneous minor lockwork done. Really great service, very fair price and solid work. I can't say enough about the service I received from Rekey Xpress. Long story short I lost my house key while walking. I called 5 different locksmiths, two of which were a 24/7 service who weren't able to provide me a technician until several hours later or the technician's van broke down. Rekey Xpress sent me the technician's name and license and was at my residence within 40 minutes. Additionally, they quoted me a reasonable price good enough that I was Able to replace 4 locks and have them on one key for all the locks for under $165.00. Oh, and they have a 1 year warranty. My entry door lock has been problematic forever. The lock is very old and of a style I have never seen. I am no locksmith and I knew better than to try to fix it myself. Josh came out on time and as scheduled. He took everything apart, fixed the lock and mechanism and showed me what was the problem. He showed me how to trouble shoot any future problems as well. He even tested all my keys and made adjustments so that all keys worked perfectly. Josh was very friendly and professional and I can't be more pleased with the service. This company did the Texas Property Code upgrade to my duplex over the weekend. A very neat and clean installation of the door preparation and lock install was performed. The truck was well equipped with the proper hardware to match the existing hardware we already had. I know that it is just a rental property but I take pride in my houses.
