Had a lockout at home because backup key I had cut did not work. Called Wayne at this company to help. He and his apprentice works separately on two doors with same key and played a race game...whoever gets the lock open first gets a beer game. Very unprofessional. They spent a lot of time trying to pick it without success. Mr. WAYNE walks to his truck and either googles "How to break into a French Door" or he called someone to get advice. I suspect that he googled it, THEN he kneed my door to force it inwards to use a screwdriver (WITHOUT MY PERMISSION), to force open my security lock, he did the same thing to my upper lock and pushed my French Doors inward to open the doors. He broke one of the locks and refuses to take responsibility for it. He literally broke i to my house which I could have done if I wanted to save 80 bucks. He wasn't legitimately and able to professionally open my locks, he didn't inform me that he failed to do open the locks and that he was going to use force to get my doors open and didn't ask permission. Presently my doors are not secure because of the lock he broke. His response was that there are lots of ways to get in. That is not why I called a locksmith. I called a locksmith to get a door lock open, NOT to break a door to get in!!! I want my door repaired and he refused. Terrible experience. I plan on pursuing a formal complaint for reimbursement to fix my door. read more

UWent to my son's basketball game at Montgomery Junior High locked my vehicle with my fob remote went to the game enjoy the game. went to my Ford Flex went to use my remote it didn't work notice the whole back of the remote fellout so I had no battery to make it work and no back to protect Electronics. After calling the dealership and many other places I was astonished to find out the replacement cost and most people didn't even have it in stock and most people wanted you to have your vehicle towed to them including my Ford dealership where I purchased the vehicle. After 14 calls finally found someone that would sell me just the back of the remote and a battery but unfortunately when I got back to the vehicle it did not work Call James after about my 15th call and James quoted me a price extremely Fair showed up early which was shocking didn't have much chit-chat got right to work even though he originally was going to sell me a new one and program it for me. Coming to my location saved me a tow charge he ask to see the remote with a new back on it after about 10 minutes he was unable to get it to work and we decided maybe the battery was bad he had a battery in stock for it switched it out and oh my gosh it worked. So he didn't try to sell me something I didn't need pick something that didn't need fixing just treated me honestly and fairly and only charged me a trip charge to come out I don't think he even charge me for the battery. Extremely impressed these days with someone does what they say they'll do and be honest and do the what's best for the consumer not for his wallet. If I could give 10 Stars I would I already have recommended him to a friend that has been quoted real high prices and treated rudely on the phone. I locked my keys in the trunk of my car last night, after calling several local locksmith and getting a shady "It could cost from $75 and up." I called The James Brown Locksmith, they were so polite and quoted me a flat rate of $65. They were at my apartment in less than 30 minutes and not even 5 minutes later they had the car open. These gentlemen were a life savers, and IF I ever need a locksmith again, I know exactly who to call. Lets face it in this world today, it is nice to know there are ligament good businesses out there, and this is defiantly one of them. read more

After three no shows through her roadside assistance program I called at 10:00 pm and scheduled an appointment with them for first thing in the morning. The tech was right on time and got the door open in less than five minutes. My daughter was able to get back to college on time. The experience was positive from the first phone call to getting the keys back. It's great to see that some companies still believe in customer service. Would never use or recommend this place to anyone, steer clear. Made a trip to the locksmith in Conroe (he is only there certain hours). I brought Jim a programmable key to be cut for my Ducati motorcycle (they do not supply programmable keys at his place, but it needed to be laser cut which is what they supposedly do). I was charged $75. I had already paid $75 for the blank and said I thought that was expensive to have it cut and was told "if you can afford the motorcycle, you can afford the key!" The key did not work when I got home so I had to make another trip back there. It clearly did not match the original but Jim said it did not matter. I ask that he re-cut it. After unsuccessful attempts to re-cut it, he could get only 1 side of the key to turn the lights on. Since both sides need to be cut in order to program the key for the ignition, and he was not able to properly make the cuts, I asked, to be fair, that we split the difference and I be refunded less than half of what I paid since the key was of no use to me. He said there would be no refunds. I was then told by a woman in the office that I could not be refunded anything since it was not their key. I told her I had no choice but to provide my own since they did not provide this type of programmable key. She rudely said I had a choice - I could have gone to Houston to get it done! Well I should have gone to Houston! I didn't realize I would walk away with a $150 key that I cannot use. Customer service is non-existent in this place. read more

If you're looking for a locksmith that has no clue what they are doing, then this is the company for you. I spoke to James on a Tuesday afternoon and asked him if he could make some keys for a car. He said he could and would be there the next morning. Wednesday I called him around 9:30 am to confirm we were still on schedule. He said yes but it would be after lunch now. Finally at 3:30 pm someone arrived but said they could not make the keys because James did not give them the equipment necessary to do it. So now not only did James waste our time, he also wasted the time of his employee. Thursday morning he came out with the equipment to make the keys but did not have the right key like we discussed in the beginning. Biggest waste of time ever! I STRONGLY discourage anyone from using this company. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more
