We returned, and they diagnosed a rear main seal failure and charged another $2,474. Just 11 days after picking up the car, the engine seized from oil starvation. The dipstick showed essentially no oil, and we had to add 3.5 quarts just to reach the halfway mark. The engine ultimately had to be replaced at a cost of nearly $11,000. Before approving the second repair, I specifically asked whether it made sense to keep investing in the car.
