We started hearing a new, suspicious, car noise near Nashville. Stopping, I found a cracking section of the "plastic" lining under the car close to one of the front wheels. We made it to Dickson, which is a frequent stopping point when on t h e road between KY and Miss.
We went to Edney's at the recommendation from staff where we had lunch. They took the car an we sat around in the waiting room. In less than 15 minutes, the gentleman returned. (There were two men met; John and ?Robert? One was working the desk; the othered appeared to be either a manager or owner.)
The owner/manager handed me the keys, stating they had trimmed the lining some and tied it off. He reassured us that we were safe to continue on our trip. I asked what should be done when we got home. He said that the car should be fine as is, but, if we wanted we could go to a dealer and have the lining replaced. He added, that he did not think it was necessary.
Additionally, let it be noted that both men were very friendly, courteous, etc.
