His workers were assigned to take care of my mother's yard property in Nuuanu at her Nuuanu house that she used to own, and rent to tenants. I have paid him on a month-to-month basis to have two to three of his workers cut the yard grass at both my mother's Aiea and Nuuanu houses. His workers also happen to service a large property of a condo in the Makiki area, right next to my mother's house. The workers would always lend a hand to clean the driveway of our Makiki house property. All of a sudden one day, kevin and his low-life workers stop servicing our yards in Nuuanu and in Aiea. This happened around three to four years ago. When I called kevin yokomura to ask why his workers stopped coming to service my mom's house in Nuuanu, he never called me back. Kevin, if you're reading this rating, just remember Hawaii is a small island. You do this kind of inservice and ghost-off on your clients, you will get BACHI and bad reputation for doing this to your clients. Hope you guys go out of business! I wanted someone to take care of the weeds, cut the grass really short, and keep the trees neat and tidy. They also weren't ever able to haul away anything that wouldn't fit in our green bin, though I did ask them to. Anyway, after Sandro recommended Roland I gave him a call. He was extremely friendly (and more importantly, he speaks English), kinda felt like I was dealing with one of my uncles. He worked around my schedule and initially meant to just come by today to assess the yard to give us an estimate, but since I have family coming in a few days he went ahead and did the work this afternoon. I got lucky!! Our yard was a complete disaster area. Everything was so overgrown and the flowering weeds were attracting tons of bees. The trees had no shape to them and were just wild. Weeds everywhere, coming up from cracks in the brick and cement. He gave us some recommendations on weed maintenance and stuff, and then he saw this stump in the ground and knew what tree it was just by looking at the stump. He agreed to pull out a lot of the weeds, cut the grass, and give the trees a good manicure. We also need some banana trees removed as well as that stump, but he said we can hold off on that since we're on a tight budget right now (in the middle of a renovation). How nice, he doesn't push us to get more money. He gave us a really great estimate, about the same amount as the first guys we had come in to do a clean-up last year, but he did twice the work. Everything just looks amazing. I don't even recognize the yard. I was so embarrassed to have our family come here and see our nasty yard and now a weight is just lifted off my shoulders. He's going to come back every month to keep everything in check and continue to treat the weeds too for a very reasonable price. Again, around the same cost as the last guys for actually 3 times the work. I think one big thing for me is that he speaks English so we have a clear line of communication. I just feel really comfortable with these guys and I haven't been this happy in a long time. I definitely recommend and I'm about to blast this all over my Facebook!

This company was the only one in my area with a Yelp review - and it was a glowing one. So I had high hopes about using them for my job. Unfortunately, I can't endorse them because they never even followed through with providing a formal price quote. The Curb Appeal Specialist rep came to my house one morning and was pleasant and professional. At the end of the visit, I asked him for an approximate price quote. He said "about $2,800." I was a bit surprised, which he noticed, and I explained that I had one other company check out the job. That company had said they'd charge $1,500 - just about half as much. Nonetheless, I was quick to point out that the other company was the only other one which had seen the grounds - and perhaps they were off-base, or not going to provide all that he was, or something along those lines. I said I would still very much like for him to e-mail me a formal price quote; I noted I wanted to make a decision that week. It's Day 10, and I have received nothing (no quote, no e-mail) from this company. I find that rather rude and unprofessional - I had, after all, taken off from work to be there that morning for his visit. Meanwhile, a third company (Total Landscape Management) that visited that same morning has provided a very price quote (with itemized invoice) for the job at around $1,700. Also, when I asked Travis (the president of Total Landscape Management) for a formal price quote for a grounds maintenance contract, he was able to turn that around within 24 hours.

According to my client, Bob N., Kullee met with him at his beautiful home on the ridge, quoted $6,400 cash, and stated he would return in 2 days to collect half as a deposit. My client said he asked for his business card, and Kullee said it was in his car and wrote his name and number on a piece of paper. My client called me the next day, concerned because he had nothing in writing and Kullee planned to collect a cash deposit without providing a written scope of work in advance. Since my client does not have an email, he asked me to call Kullee for the estimate on his behalf and I would print it and gladly drive it to my client for Kullee. My client also expressed discomfort, noting he "had an attitude" and no clarity for the $6,400 cost and it was a rush to get a half down. I contacted Kullee and requested if he can please send a written quote, explaining that my client asked for this before he gives Kullee a cash deposit without documentation and approval. During our conversation, Kullee stated he could do the work for $6,400 cash or $1,500 more if it was "on the books if that's what you guys want!" I calmly asked for clarification on the $1,500 difference, he struggled to explain then said "credit card fees and materials etc...", and then became very angry talking tough. My client already told him he was paying cash and that he doesn't like to use his credit card. I reiterated to please send the written quote so my client can review it. Kullee responded rudely and upset, stating he was busy and needed an immediate decision to "keep his workers busy and get paid". At that point, I shared the same concern my client had expressed. Kullee told me "thanks for wasting my time" and stated he had other clients waiting. I told him that we understood and of course, please go ahead and help your other clients. His tone then became increasingly aggressive and rude. While trying to protect my client's best interest, I ended the conversation, thanked him, and informed him that I did not feel he was a good fit. Kullee then kept sending me repeated, aggressive, and rude text messages, which I didn't answer. I texted to inform him that I needed to block his number, and I did. A few minutes later, Kullee went on my business google page, Susan Borochov - Realtor Hawaii, and made an inaccurate aggressive, and unwarranted review. He has since then continuously revised his review on me. Which is why I decided to share the chain if events. Kullee, upset that he didn't get the job and easy money, reacted vindictively as the only way knew. Every potential customer has the right to receive written bids and make informed decisions. This situation appeared to prioritize money over professionalism, ethics and proper business conduct, particularly concerning a 92-year-old potential customer. I have been in real estate for over 25 years, and I take great pride in caring for each of my clients, as reflected in my reviews. An inaccurate, vindictive review from Kullee will not change the level of service I provide to my clients or my business ethic. This experience reflects my commitment to going the extra mile for my clients by helping them. Thank goodness that my longtime trustworthy landscaper, who I learned also specializes in irrigation, made time to meet with my client. He clearly identified the issues and provided a written estimate of $1,800 and his business card to my client, and the job was immediately booked today as well as additional landscape work. He treat his clients with respect and honesty. I'm sharing this to urge others to do their research and insist on proper documentation before proceeding with any contractor they are comfortable with and trust.
