I asked where to get my fishing license and the young man cheerfully gave me precise instructions. Once I arrived at customer service I was greeted warmly and in less than 5 minutes I had my license. I chose 1 year but you can choose from a good variety of options up to three years! 5 star experience... While I walked about I was asked by a floor monitor if they could assist me with anything... I asked T question and they responded kindly good people in the store. I got some Iowa beef sticks... they also had good variety of jerky... that meaty juicy type not dried. I asked AI what are the top 5 most popular lures that work best in Utah and the store had all of them. I took them, a great Nike T shirt and my beefsteak at the cashiers near the entrance, paid and bid good day. I'd shop this place again.

(I had several questions) 10 minutes in golf department. Same story. 20 minutes in BBQ and the two guys there seemed more worried about the display looking great than offering help. Hooray for the local guy!…read more Kirkham's has always been one of my favorite outdoors stops, and there are some pretty compelling reasons why. First of all, they employ people who are passionate about the outdoors and who, generally speaking, know what they are talking about. There's no push for corporate outdoorsness--I've often felt like I was chatting with a buddy when talking things over with their staff. Second, I like the location. Just off of State Street near the 33rd South exit of I-15. Nice. Third, they carry some quality stuff. The lightweight, high-quality, not El Cheapo stuff is their specialty, and they do it well. Lots of it is set up or out for display so you can get a good look at what you're after. The biggest reason I'm a fan is those Springbar tents. If you're not familiar, a Springbar tent is the greatest family/Scout troop/group tent known to man. They're immortal. They're super easy to set up. They weigh about a half a ton, but they're a tent you buy and pass down to your kids. For real. A few other bonus features: they have a decent selection of climbing gear, they have a tent repair area, they have random tent material (seam sealer, no-see-um mesh, tent stakes, etc.) and a nice book and map selection. For me, it's because I bought the kind of gear in my 20's and 30's that will last forever, and I'm in my 60's now. I have a reason not to do so much backpacking. In the day, the aisles were narrow and the place was filled to overflowing with everything. They had the regular brands, but they had nearly every one of the esoteric, specialty brands too. Today, outside of North Face, nothing in quality sleeping bags. It looks like a place heading out of business. I was there to look for shirts. In the day, they had as much nice outdoor styled clothing as you find total clothing in the big box store. There just wasn't much to choose from today. Walking around you could see the empty walls that held shoes, boots, and similar. I'm so sad. I assume there will always be a market for the car camping gear that Springbar tent owners are going to need. The Springbar tents are great. I don't own one, although I bought both my backpacking and car camping tents there.

I heard about this store and how they provide rentals for a reasonable price. The process is easy: check in at the kiosk to make res; meet with one of the reps in the back (fitting/sizing): and then, pay at the front counter. Staffs are super helpful and nice. Ample parking in the lot. I'd come back to continue renting gears or referring others to come here.

Instead of enjoying the quiet serenity of skiing through powder, the sound of a squeaking old rusty hinge was heard the whole day. The snowboard was set so badly that it caused foot cramping all day. When shown the video with the sound and told how vastly different the experience had been, the employees did not know what could have caused it and were not willing to do anything about it. Extended family are coming out next month and will not be using this rental shop.

I noticed the rear disk hydraulic brakes weren't working at all. I looked at the hours of Hangar 15 bikes. It said they were open until 7:00 pm. I realized if I hurried I could get there by about 6:30pm I got down there and they were able to fix the brakes by adding brake fluid in under 10 minutes. it was almost completely empty. I asked him how much I owed him and he said nothing. I will be taking all my future bike repairs to Hangar 15. All the employees are super friendly. It's a great place for bike repairs and new bikes.

I needed a new dropper post and did t order it in time from my local bike shop. One of their other stores had it and sent it over. They install my new dropper post and I realize my calculations were off somehow and I probably needed the next size up. They dont have it, but one of their other stores does. I ask them to put my dropper back on, I'll go on my ride with my friend in the morning and then go to their other shop after our ride to get it. They asked me if I wanted them to just take the new dropper out, or install my old one. I told them I'd appreciate them reinstalling my old one so that I can at least go ride with my friend in the morning and then go to their other shop for the correct dropper. They said it'd $45 for them to reinstall my dropper. I said seriously!?! That's outrageous. Nevermind then, my friend and I will install it. Then they told me I owe them $32 for them putting in and taking out the new dropper post. I understand $5-10 or something for the cable, but $32 for that and then telling me it'd be $45 to put my old one back on! Thanks for ruining a ride for me. I had a feeling I'd regret going to them and I truly do. Makes me truly appreciate the amazing, wonderful and true family customer service of Over the Edge! Where you're family and they treat you as such! Where they know and practice true customer service! True southern hospitality. Not this nickel and dime you and screw you over crap by rude staff that's going to rape you financially for everything they can and apparently never learned what true customer service is. I'll deal with my old dropper post for this trip and wait to get back home to support a shop where they genuinely care about their customers! Where you're family and treated as such!
