What happened to the Victoria's Secret experience? Years ago, it felt special. Associates greeted you with a smile, measured you with care, and walked you through the fitting process like a trusted friend. It was personal, empowering and almost like a rite of passage. I walked into an empty store and was completely ignored. No "hello," no offer to help, no fitting support. Just silence. When I asked for a fitting room, it was unlocked without a word. It took a while to receive help. There were only two workers who were both packed at the register. Finally, when receiving help, the worker was kind and willing to help. Dressing rooms had a lot of clothes from past users, but they were designed well. The whole store was cute and fun. read more

As a trans person who is still not very passable, I like to make sure I'm working with people who are comfortable with me, and are willing to actually consult, not just throw product at me. If you're a Victoria's Secret model, or even just a 'normally' shaped woman, you could pick stuff off of the shelf. But for me, I need someone to see what will and won't work, to take a look at it when I have it on and tell me how it looks, etc, Unfortunately, department stores don't have that kind of service. I search for other lingerie shops, and most of them are porn shops with adult toys. So I figured I would give Victoria's Secret a try, even though I've been disappointed in the past. I called the one at the shops at Southtown, in Sandy Utah. I spoke to a nice woman named Callie, who said anyone in the store would be totally comfortable with an LGBTQ person, but she would be glad to help me. She would be in until four. This was about 10:30 in the morning. So I went to the store around two. As usual, none of the clerks, give me a second glance, in fact they ignore me. When I asked for Callie at the register, I found out that she supposedly called in sick today. Really! Then how had she answered the phone this morning? But the girl at the register said the same thing, that any of the girls would be happy to help me. She said she would be glad to, but she was assigned the restaurant the time. So she called the store manager. The store manager, who had looked right past me when I walked in. Who is a short, obis, not very attractive person, physically, or personality wise. Nonetheless, I thought I'd give her a chance. She showed me one item, shoved me in a fitting room, and close the door on me, and disappeared. The item wasn't even close to what I needed, so I left it in the fitting room and took off. She was nowhere to be found. I will never frequent Victoria's Secret again, and I recommend you make the same commitment. I will pay premium prices for good quality service, and good products. After a bad experience at the Fashion Place location, the ladies here were so helpful. After waiting around for over 30 minutes at the FP store, I couldn't find anyone to help me find a couple bras so I could do the buy 2 get 1 free promo. I gave up and went up to the register with one bra. The cashier then tried to sell me on the promotion. I told her I tried to find two more and wanted the promo but couldn't find anyone to help me... and at this point my 1 year old daughter is sad and needs changing. She tells me she can order it. I politely told her my daughter was over it so unless she could find someone to get me two of the same bra I was buying I just needed to go. I had been in the store an hour at this point. She said "ok" and rang me up for the one bra. I went to the South Town location the next day and they were beyond friendly and helpful. I was in that store less than 15 minutes. read more

Just another Victoria's Secret store in another American mall. Nothing special here to distinguish it from any other Victoria's Secret. Not the biggest Victoria's Secret I've been to, but they had a fairly good selection of their basic items - and my wife found exactly what she was looking for. On a positive note, there were very few people here when we stopped in. In fact, it was practically empty - not sure why. But it made shopping fast and easy - I hate crowds and I hate waiting. Victoria's Secret is where it's at for all my bras, panties, lingerie, and a small portion of my sports attire. I'm also an Angels cardholder and have the highest level card you can get. This location is pretty slim pickings for sportswear, and it's super annoying to me that they don't carry the short length that they offer online. Sometimes I just want to make a small purchase, and shipping online adds up if they aren't offering a deal. I've been in Victoria's Secret stores at all different times of day, and I thought that by coming in the middle of the afternoon it wouldn't be extremely busy and I could get in and out without too much of a hassle so I could make it to the gym before I had another appointment scheduled. Surveying the store, I didn't notice any employees (at first) except for the lone girl manning the cash wrap station. I quickly found what I needed in terms of gym leggings and a new gym top and headed to the dressing room. Not much of a surprise, but there was no one there. I didn't want to wait around for someone to discover me, so I started assessing the store again trying to find someone. I found one girl, who was with another customer, smiled at her, and told her I was in need of a dressing room. She hastily acknowledged me with an "okay, okay," and went right back to conversing with the other person she had been helping. She didn't ask my name or anything, like they normally do, and did not check up on me while I was trying on gym clothes. When I left the fitting room, I discovered two more employees out on the floor. They both ignored me and the other customers in the area. This is in the middle of the semi-annual sale, and normally there is at least one greeter who hands out the mesh bags so you can load it up. Given all of the crap I'd come in to buy today (panties, gym pants, and a new shirt), I could have used the bag for once. A few others were carrying around mesh bags as they browsed the merchandise. I made it up to the cash wrap, and the line was pretty slow going. When I was getting rung up, I was asked if anyone had been helping me, and I replied honestly that I'd had a hard time finding anyone to offer assistance. Her response was a pretty automatic "I'm sorry about that," which didn't feel genuine in the least. I didn't feel listened to or acknowledged. She looked bored and not at all interested in being there today or building any sort of rapport with me or other customers. Customer service here is pretty hit or miss; sometimes they really friendly, and other times they are super lacking. At this point, I'm just going to stick to shopping online, because my experiences in-store at this location as of late have not been that great and the selection sucks, especially if you're needing a specific length. They just don't seem to carry it in store at all, so they are missing out on a huge customer base. i purchased a regular length capri, which fit decently everywhere else, but they reach nearly to my ankles. read more

Sadly I haven't bought a real bra in longer then I want to admit. I needed to get something for my brother's wedding so my husband made me come here. I was so embarrassed and overwhelmed because I have lost 60 lbs and had no idea what size I was and have another 30 to loose so I didn't want to spend alot on something that may not fit in a couple months. Elizabeth helped me and was so nice she helped me get the right fit, was so cute with my 5 year old daughter that was with me, and told me all about the semi-annual sale that was going on and the benefits with getting a card (I got an extra $20 off that paid for one of my bras!). She didn't make me feel uncomfortable or stupid at all. She helped me find something that would fit now and that would last a while through my weight loss journey. read more

DO NOT shop at this location! The staff enjoys humiliating customers. I have always had good experiences with Victoria's Secret's products and stores until today, when I went to the Sandy Southtowne location. I literally left the store in tears. It was one of the worst retail experiences I've ever had. It is was humiliating. The two employees working at this store on September 5 around 4PM are rude, judgmental "mean girls" who should not be in customer service. It was exactly like that scene from Pretty Woman, "We don't have anything to fit you here." Two different store employees at two different times said that to me. while looking me up and down. One of the women, the one walking around the store with a tape measure actually said, "You should be shopping at Torrid, not here. Torrid is where the big girls shop. Try there." Even if they didn't have my size, they should not have treated me that way. It was humiliating. Never again! read more

What a horrible experience I had at this store last night. I went in to see about exchanging a sports bra that the zipper had broken clean off. The manager was immediately defensive and acted like she was blaming ME for the broken zipper. Not only did she refuse to exchange the bra, she didn't even offer me any kind of discount OR go with me out on the floor to look for another. She simply gestured to the floor and said there are more out there and they are priced better than any sports bras. I went shopping and when I came back to check out, there was a long line and that same manager was wandering the floor, doing nothing. I asked the cashier to call someone over and it was 5 mins before the manager bothered to come help. The employee who checked me out was dismissive and rude. She was completely uninformed about the VS CC and methods of payment and insisted that I had to immediately pay off the balance with cash or check right after purchase. When I told her that's not what I was told when I signed up for it, she became defensive and rude. She wouldn't give me her name when I asked for it so I could talk to her manager about her behavior. If you're not comfortable giving your name to someone, maybe you shouldn't be treating them the way you do. I called the next day to speak with another manager and was simply told that she would talk to the employee about the CC policies. Hmmm. I typically expect at least an apology, if not an incentive to come back to that particular store. I got neither. My favorite, most helpful VS is the one located in Riverwoods, Provo. read more

I love the VS at South Towne! The store is bigger and has Pink, which I prefer over VS. But the bigger the store, the messier it is. Every time I have come in here it's always been pretty disorganized. Nevertheless, there is a greater selection than the VS at Fashion Place Mall. read more

It was a horrible experience in this store!!! When I went to exchange the bra for a different size, the new size was a little bit more expensive than the old one, they couldn't let me pay for the difference! Their reason was because the coupon has already been used, so I need to pay for the new one completely!!! But when I went to the Victoria's Secret at the fashion place, they said I actually can pay for the difference! I am so mad with the customer service from this store! I had, hands down, the best bra-buying experience I've ever had here today. I was so unsure of what I needed and feeling so insecure, but the way the employees treated me instantly helped me to feel better and find what works. Elizabeth went above and beyond to help me get fitted properly, and I didn't feel judged, embarrassed, or insecure in the least (and that's saying a LOT for me). She came to check on me several times without being overbearing or annoying. A lady who looked like she might have been the manager was also very sweet and helpful. The only complaint I could really make is the girls working the cash register were not the most personable or friendly, but that doesn't really impact my experience much. If you visit this store, I highly recommend you request help from Elizabeth and I am certain you will find the right item and it will fit perfectly. read more

While visiting this store l left a personal item and did not realize until l was at the airport. I called the store and verified they had the item. After they said they would ship to me, and 2 weeks of then saying they were still there l called the corporate office. I offered to pay for shipping and insurance. They stated they would not mail my glasses to me and referred to it as an LP issue. They told so many stories, and stated that legal reasons prevented them from assisting me for weeks. I never have a had a positive feeling about Victoria secret. Today justified that for me. I decided that I needed a new body mist so I went in. Nobody greeted me. The workers were females that looked mid 40s-50s. They were in booty shorts with tights under and seductive over the top heels. I'm sorry but that is not appropriate. I couldn't find anyone to help me and when I finally did, I asked her a question , she barley was answering me and another employee walked up to her and started chatting with her right when I was standing there asking a question. They started a full on conversation as if I wasn't even there?? That is absolutely no way to treat a customer ! I have never seen such disrespectful workers or customer service. It was TERRIBLE. I took a step back to realize all the workers were just messing around and not even taking care of the customers. They were talking amoungst each other and ignored the customers. I finally just grabbed something I needed and hurried to the cash wrap. There were employees having a conversation I basically had to tell to get some help. Yet the one employee kept talking to the other as if I was invisible. That's rude ! I came to buy your product and give you business and you treat me like that? And on top of it all the worker said "are you ready to check out babe?" BABE?? That is just not professional at all! Don't call me that! I will never return to this location.
