Carlos the owner is absolutely wonderful as is the rest of his whole family... they cook with Love and undoubtably all the regulars will attest to that. Delicious Food. The best machatcha and chicken fried steak in Town, no doubt about that! Essentially everything on the menu is cooked to perfection the huevos rancheros, burritos you name it. It is hard pressed to find a family owned establishment that puts so much attention into how they treat their customers in conjunction to the delicious quality of food. Read great reviews so I came in and ordered a breakfast burrito. First the price was higher than what I read on the internet. I payed $ 15.95 for a sausage breakfast burrito! Got it to go, when I got home was disappointed at the appearance, then I opened it to see how it was filled. First little or no eggs, or sausage, but plenty of hash browns! So I payed almost $16 dollars for a hash brown burrito. Felt totally ripped off! Needless to say I will never go back, which I hate because always looking for good local restaurants. read more

The food here is very good. The menu has both classic American and Mexican food. It works great for when not everyone in the family wants Mexican. I love the Carlos special, the green sauce that is on it is excellent. I have even asked for a side of the green sauce to put on part of my chicken fried steak. They also have frozen tamales that you can get to take home. Their service is amazing, the couple that run the place are very friendly,attentive, and helpful. read more

This place is extremely overpriced $45 for two burritos that took 20 minutes to make. I may be spoiled from the Mexican food in California in terms of taste because this was nowhere near great to me. Don't let this place deceive you. The food was pretty good. I had the western omelet and the other person had a popeye omelet both were pretty good. I would give it a 4.5 if I could. The food was fresh, and service was homie. They treat you like family. Hash browns where cooked nicely and wasn't over cooked same with the omelet. I did take off a few points for them putting my food in the microwave I'm guessing since they don't have a heating lamp to put the food under while the other persons food is cooking. My uncle took my brother and I to Regio's Cafe for breakfast when were were staying with him in Redmond a few weeks ago. I loved it. The service was great, the coffee was flowing, the restaurant is charming/old school/classic/casual. I think I ordered the Carlos Special (I can't find a picture of that page of the menu anywhere), which was eggs scrambled with meat and smothered in salsa (green for me) and served with hashbrowns and frijoles. It was delicious. Seriously, I'd eat this all the time if I lived in bend. My uncle and brother both got breakfast burritos (my uncle got his smothered in salsa), which they enjoyed. Carlos himself stopped by to see how our meal was. It was great, that's how it was. The next time I visit my aunt and uncle, I'm asking to go to breakfast at Regio's! Delicious! read more

This little Cafe has been in business for 23 years and Carlos is just the nicest guy! My office ordered breakfast burritos this morning and they were wonderful! The online menu is different from the actual takeout menu so it was a little more expensive than I thought it would be, but right now I'm all for supporting local businesses however I can. The burrito was huge, and stuffed with bacon, cheese, eggs and hashbrowns. One of the sausage burritos had very minimal sausage in it which was kind of a bummer. The hashbrowns were slightly under seasoned and could use some salt and pepper, and could be a little crisper (thats probably personal preference). The burrito comes with a side of salsa which was great and refreshing. I highly recommend this little hole in the wall. Every morning, when mandates aren't in place, there are always dedicated patrons filling the parking lot. read more

This cafe has been here for years. I'm surprised one of the locals has not reviewed it first. First, let's say this is not a fancy place but a great little hole in the wall where, everyone knows your name. They are primarily a one shift operation. They open early and close by 3pm most days. I believe they are closed on Mondays. So, get there early or you'll miss out. They have a great deal of Mexician fair which is tasty and large portioned. They also serve breakfast all day which is equally generous portions. It is a family run business and even the kids join in from time to time to help out. The seating is tables and chairs and no booths. Some of the chairs are in need of repair and watch your step coming into the building there is a bit of uneven payment. All it all, a tasty and inexpensive meal can be had here. Don't forget to get there before 3pm and be aware it's an old and rustic diner. read more

Regios Cafe is a great place to eat. The food was delicious and authentic. Regios is a family owned small business mom, dad and daughter they are amazing. This was our first visit to the restaurant. They were busy when we arrived but we were cheerfully greeted as we came through the door. We immediately felt like we were a guest in someone's home. Carlos, the owner knew virtually all of his guests on a first name basis! Even they were busy he made every guest feel like they were the guest of honor. If you and your buds were going to open a small café on a budget, it would be exactly like Regio's. Okay . . . so it's not much to look at, but don't let looks fool you! The place looks a bit run down and maybe needs a fresh coat of paint, but my goodness are the food and service FANTASTIC!!! The fare is Mexican/American, and they are open only for breakfast and lunch. When we entered, we were allowed to sit wherever we wanted and we were welcomed by Carlos, who is just like the brother-in-law or uncle everyone wishes they had. He is funny, engaging and really knows his stuff. Carlos described some of the items on the menu for us, and happily allowed us to design our own plates. We had chorizo, eggs and refried beans, chicken fried steak, hash browns and homemade toast, complemented by both flour and corn tortillas. Every savory bite was out of this world delicious, and the chicken fried steak was delightfully juicy, wonderfully tender, and flat-out sinfully good. The Mexican food was fresh, flavorful and about as authentic as it gets. We have already been back and plan to become regulars. 5-Star? Oh yes. Hell Yes!!! Deserved yo! I was in Redmond on business and a customer wanted to have breakfast here so we followed him to the restaurant and ate during the week around 9am. The dining room was half full at this time which impressed me. I really liked the layout of the interior. From the exterior parking lot view, I was initially worried. Our server who I believe 'may' have been the owner, was of Mexican descent and was very fun loving and joking around with our group. The restaurant was clean inside but it's an older establishment. The restrooms were also clean but dated. Who cares!!!???!!! The food? Holey Crapoley! The food is freaking fantastic. Again, we ate here only at breakfast but I'd love to go back for lunch. Chicken Fried steak and eggs with hash browns and home made, creamy sausage gravy for the win. Absolutely the BEST. Serious. The BEST!!!! If you order something else for breakfast I'm going to bitch-slap you. It's not cheap. You pay for high quality food. But it's worth it. Don't judge a book by it's cover. We found this place courtesy of Yelp, its a hole in the wall place with amazing staff who want to give you a good experience in their restaurant. Both of our meals tasted amazing, my gravy on my chicken fried steak was the best I ever had. My only complaint was the portion size of the steak, it was about half the normal size you would get anywhere else but it was cooked to perfection. Only other thing we had was the soda I got was messed up, they tried to fix the Dr. Pepper but by the time I got a new one we were already eating our meal. read more
