I immediately tried to contact the company multiple times while the movers were present. My calls were not answered, and I also emailed during the move with no response. It was not until I called from another phone number that someone finally answered. At that point, a representative acknowledged the issue and texted that the charges would be adjusted to reflect having only two movers. Despite this, the final charge was higher than the original quote. The movers took an extended lunch break (around 40 minutes) and another break, which I was later told is still billed time. I also had to move items myself and transport items in my own vehicle, and the job was not completed because I was told the truck was full and items were left behind. I paid only because my belongings were on their truck and I needed them released. I have documentation including the original quote, call logs, emails, and text messages confirming an adjustment. Based on my experience, I recommend getting everything in writing and confirming the exact crew size before booking.

The most efficient way in our vast experience, is not to load the truck until all items are checked off and sitting on the driveway, which was the way Mayflower did things decades ago. Apparently this crew was trained to take items straight into the truck and fit them in as best they could, so they had to partially unload and reload the truck because their packing space was quite limited compared to what their boss allotted for. Poor communication and planning, inefficiency all caused by the owner PLUS lack of coordination topped off by shouting rudeness and maltreatment in the end by the owner... it all adds up to a "never-again" pledge for this senior citizen. I paid 30% higher than I expected from the original quote and they left me frazzled.
