I would not recommend this company. I was quoted 3 movers for 4 hours, but on moving day only 2 movers arrived. I immediately tried to contact the company multiple times while the movers were present. My calls were not answered, and I also emailed during the move with no response. It was not until I called from another phone number that someone finally answered. At that point, a representative acknowledged the issue and texted that the charges would be adjusted to reflect having only two movers. Despite this, the final charge was higher than the original quote. The movers took an extended lunch break (around 40 minutes) and another break, which I was later told is still billed time. I also had to move items myself and transport items in my own vehicle, and the job was not completed because I was told the truck was full and items were left behind. I paid only because my belongings were on their truck and I needed them released. I have documentation including the original quote, call logs, emails, and text messages confirming an adjustment. Based on my experience, I recommend getting everything in writing and confirming the exact crew size before booking. read more

They worked with my schedule except for the move day. They were 3 hours late, no call no nothing. No one answered the office phone. I left messages for management but no response to this day. They were at my house till 11:45 pm. Disruptive to kids trying to sleep. Their employee Carl called me a "f..king bi.ch" I would never hire or refer this company!!! I said I wasn't paying until I spoke with their office and was told they would stop unloading. Terrible company and service. read more

Jessie King, I need your company to send Nathan or someone responsible to complete repairing my walls that were damaged by your movers during my move on 8-18-20. It has been months with no communication or resolution. I can hire a 3rd party on send you the bill if you cant get your. Company to complete the task. My experience was horrible. 1600.00 to break my belongings and damage my walls and not try to provide good customer service or any follow up. You get a negative review -10 on 1 to 10 scale. If you can make this right. I would appreciate it. I would chose zero stars but I have to select 1 to post this review. Requested 4 movers got 6..provided breakfast and lunch and tipped 40.00 each..$360.00 total. I took care of the movers so the would take care of my belongings...They were still careless and now I want Professional Courtesy to have the damages repaired and items replaced or cost adjustments. I have been waiting for 3 months..More than enough time to have this problem resolved. This is a travesty and disgrace!! read more

I had Moving Kings on a job dated 11/20/2022 between approximately 3:30 pm - 7:00 pm. During this time, MANY of my furniture items were broken and not discovered until I unwrapped the items that the movers had packed up. Pictures are attached, but my bed frame, antique speakers, antique/family heirloom cabinet/nightstand, and even the underneath of my couch was ripped by the movers. My mattress arrived with dirt marks that could have been avoided had they wrapped my bed in plastic as I had requested The mattress was also deformed as the movers used moving straps but failed to treat it with care and causing permanent creasing/lumps in the mattress. I, also, specifically told movers of the fragile/ANTIQUE items and even let them inspect items for the best tactic before they began moving furniture. Upon arrival at the drop-off location - Instead of telling me about the damages, the movers placed my items in a corner of my new apartment to hide the damages that THEY caused. On top of the careless recklessness that lead to the damage of over 70% of the items moved - the movers managed to break the freight elevator at the pickup location. This left a multitude of items still at my old address on the day of the move and an unfinished job. The movers were to call me back to come to finish the appointment the following day (as this was their fault), but never called; now Moving Kings (as a company) will not answer calls about my damaged items or the unfinished move job. I left multiple calls for both Associate Managers, Kourtney and Jesse, and am still waiting for a response. Kourtney responded by e-mail for a follow-up call and never reached back out via phone as asked. I also have items missing from the move that the Movers placed in the truck - a dog food bowl stand, shoe stands, screws from furniture (that Moving Kings removed), and large mirrors. Research your moving companies - I highly recommend All My Sons as they fixed the error caused by Moving Kings. read more

Thank You Jesse your guys took care of me in a pinch. Our first moving company had some good reviews, but didnt show. I Called Moving Kings. This was the best decision I have ever made. Once the crew showed 1 hour after I called them they were all about business. They wrapped and padded my furniture. These guys are awsome!! read more

If you want to spend 11 hours and pay $1,400+ for a small apartment move and be left with a damaged home, damaged items, and additional expenses to repair their path of destruction, this is the moving company for you. I have spent the last 40 days dealing with this company and trying to get resolution on my move that took 11 hours for a small two bedroom apartment, moving 7 minutes away, that was estimated to take no more than 5 hours. Not only did it take over 11 hours, it was not fully completed, items were damaged, the house where I moved was damaged, and one item in particular, a marble dining table. Still trying to work through things with them, they came out to repair the gouge in the table and I am now left with an entirely ruined table, and a driveway filled with chemical stains where they performed the work. Kourtney was working through things with me initially, and then completely quit responding. I then contacted Jesse, the owner, and he seemed to be willing to work with me after I filed a complaint with the BBB, we agreed upon resolution, and he now is completely unresponsive. The lack of follow through and response and total disregard from Moving Kings has taken it from just being a poor move that could have been made right, to nothing short of fraud. By definition, fraud is a crime of getting money by deceiving people. I would say that is a very appropriate description of my experience with this company. read more

We have used Moving Kings for 3 moves, the last one taking place in April 2021. Moving Kings were referred to us by my in-laws who used them prior and had a good experience. However, April 2021, one of the movers stole some personal property of ours during the move and we were not aware of it until recently. The mover took an Xbox console out of the box, and replaced it with a weight, then stashed it in my basement in a back closet surrounded by other items to hide it. I had been searching for the Xbox for sometime and finally found the box, but the console obviously was missing. I called them and Kourtney said "we don't know who did that move, it's been too long and we changed computer systems...." and showed little to no care in the world. Finally after pushing the issue, I was told Jesse the owner would call me to discuss the situation, it's been over 2 weeks and shockingly, no phone call. I followed up with an email and Kourtney again said "he's been working on a truck and will call you" but obviously hasn't. DO NOT hire them unless you want your property stolen and ownership to do nothing about it. I'm still waiting for that phone call Kourtney..... read more

I used Moving Kings in 2018 to move into a third story condo on The Plaza. I mention this because the parking is terrible, the stairs up to the unit are a nightmare and you have to be creative to get items in and out without damaging anything. The two gentlemen I had in 2018 were great and got the job completed for less time/money than quoted. They arrived on time and I did not have any damage during the move. Fast forward three years and I have to move again and reached out to Moving Kings again. Kourtney was super helpful and understanding with my arrival time frame as I rented a POD. I dealt with her in 2018 as well and had a good experience. The two gentleman the second time around (Brian and Cody) were really good too. Again, I was ultimately charged less than what I was quoted. These guys worked really hard and really fast. I did not have any damage to my unit and my POD was packed perfectly. Even though I'm sure they were exhausted as I was the last move of the day, they took the time to be pleasant to me which I appreciated. Keep up the great work! read more

Matt, Doug, and Cody came out for our move and did an awesome job. They arrived at the expected time and worked tirelessly despite some difficult weather, raining one minute and hot with 100% humidity the next. They packed everything super efficiently on the truck and everything arrived at our new place in perfect shape. read more

UPDATE: Jesse from Moving Kings did contact me to help make this closer to right. He covered the cost to move the piano. My experience with Jesse and the front office was very good. My experience with my particular moving team was not. I'm hoping that it was an isolated issue with that moving team, as the other reviews for Moving Kings seem quite positive. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'm glad to see one of the other reviews had good experiences with Moving Kings. Unfortunately, my experience was pretty bad. First off, part of the reason I hired them was they said they were able to move an upright piano. The crew they sent out was not able to move the piano, but spent a billable hour trying and griping about their management, and the scratched up the floor pretty seriously in the process. Quite a few items were broken in the move (I posted pictures of some of the broken items in my Google review here: google.com/search?q=movi...,,,). They also chipped up some marble tiles from an outdoor table and really scratched up an antique dining table. I reached out by email twice to Jesse from Moving Kings to see what they could do to help make things right, and never got a response, so I guess I'll just have to chalk this up to a a painful lesson not to use Moving Kings again. If you chose to use this company, I certainly hope you have better luck than I did. read more

I just recently moved about half an hour west into another state and couldn't believe how easy they made the process. A relative recommended them. From the quote to the move moving Kings were great. They answered all my questions and made sure I was happy at the end of the move. I will definitely recommend Moving Kings to my friends and coworkers. Great job Moving Kings! read more

Imagine your $5,000+ mattress lying on the driveway, and being scraped across the dirt while the movers try to lift it. Now imagine it was unnecessary: you had unzipped it and told them about the six strips of latex, which could have been easily rolled up and moved, saying he stains to your mattress. Imagine three tattooed goons that look like to heyve Don time, who talk about the bar difhts they've been in together and take frequent smoke breaks, in your dime. Imagine being charged the up most linits of the estimate, tipping them $100, and finding out the next week that some of your stuff is missing. They sorta settled with me, but it didn't come cover everything . Keep shopping, friend read more

The movers were extremely careless with our stuff and in our home. We have scratches in our door frames, floors, and on our wood items. They also made us bend our vent in on the back of the dryer after assuring us that it wouldn't fit... I wish I had measured. If they rotated the dryer it would have gone through with ease. These guys might give a competitive quote but the service is definitely not worth it. I will never use them again. read more

I work in a retirement community. One of our residents hired Moving Kings and were told there would be two people to pack for them and two more to do the moving. Two workers total showed up. Moving Kings quoted them $800-850 for the move, then charged $1297. After many requests, Moving Kings still hasn't provided a receipt. read more

This was booked by my husband, Warren Teachout. We were excited to use a local company as we planned our move to a newly built home. Our rating would have been a bit higher, but after two days with no contact from management regarding damages and other concerns, a poor review seemed our only recourse. Photos are included below, along with details of our experience: The crew- to be fair, a polite group of three guys-chose to use a dolly and not straps (the safer method for them and the property they were moving) to move our washer and dryer. In doing so, they damaged the framework of our entryway (see below- the image doesn't chow that this is a gouge, not just a paint scrape) and scuffed and scarred our walls and interior doors. In moving my office desk, they severely damaged the desktop (see below). When moving the piano- something of which they knew ahead of time- the crew seemed unsure how to move it. In doing so, they punched a hole in the wall (see below). For both the wall and the desk, they said they took pictures and sent them to the owner, and to expect a call from them withing a day to discuss repair options. After the piano incident, they stopped letting us know of other damage- which we are finding as we unpack. Among them- when setting up the bed, they broke the center support legs. We learned of this through a disturbing noise under the bed- the support legs had been propped in place but not secured, because they broke the attachment points. While they were unloading, a bunch of items shifted and fell on the truck- we were told not to worry, that everything was well protected. Our cedar dining room table would disagree! The top surface was deeply scraped by the shifting items (see below). We found this when we put the table in place. We were told that management would contact us about the damages and to confirm the final amount billed. This did not happen- although the charge was placed on Friday, bright and early. I called and asked to speak with someone about the damages- as of today (now Tuesday), no one has called us. read more

The customer service was decent up front, and the guys certainly worked hard all day on the move. However the move was underbid, so they more than doubled the time/cost from the estimate. Additionally - they scratched my dining room hutch very badly, and the office had been non-responsive to my inquiries on how they will fix it. read more

My husband and I recently hired Moving Kings. Our particular moving crew were not the best, and we had a few hiccups. However, I still give Moving Kings four stars because when it comes to customer service, it doesn't get any better than them. Kourtney is absolutely amazing and was wonderful to work with from start to finish. We had to change our moving date and times several times due to issues with closing. She was so flexible and great about checking in with me. Then, after the move, I contacted her about the hiccups we had during the move. Kourtney completely rectified the situation. Hands down, some of the BEST customer service I have ever experienced. I will be calling Kourtney again in a few years when we move again. I wouldn't want to work with anyone else! read more

I was moved 12/16/2019. The two movers were nice clean-cut men. I lived on the third floor of an apartment building. I had almost everything from my two-bedroom apartment placed next to the two elevators which nobody else was using. The truck was parked forty feet from the front door. The two men worked hard and the truck was packed in about two hours which was not fast or slow. In retrospect I should have hired three movers. At this point I was happy with the movers. They needed to drive 23 miles and back their truck up to a long-haul trailer and walk zero feet between trailers and load the long-haul trailer so ABF could take my home contents from Overland Park, Kansas to Lawrenceville, Georgia. It took me twenty minutes to drive the 23 miles it took them over an hour and 30 minutes. It then took them two and a half hours to take the boxes from one side of the trailer to the other which was longer than taking my contents from a hall way down an elevator and walking 40 ft then going up a ramp. They packed the long-haul trailer good, high and tight. I had just a few broken things. Some how a 3/16" metal bar was bent from a straight bar to a 45-degree angle, the washer's lid was bent and two antique tables had their legs broke. I packaged everything beyond what I needed too. Over-all I believe they scammed me for two hours maybe a little more. I should have had three movers and I needed to follow them down to the ABF trucking terminal. Somethings will always break in a move. If they wouldn't have scammed me for over $250, I would indorse them. I do not recommend them. read more

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE company and appalling customer service. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT use this moving company. I requested a move for 8/14/2020, as my lease was ending on 8/15/2020. I talked to Kourtney the day of the move and advised I requested the movers wear masks while in my home due to the Covid-19 virus, she advised that morning that this was not an issue, as they provide the movers with masks to wear if the customer requests, she would call the driver now to let them know. The drivers showed up LATE, did NOT have masks and said that no one from the office called them to advise them that they needed them. I called Kourtney back, she said they did call the driver to advise, she would call them and call me right back. She call me back and advised that they were going to purchase masks and that they would be back. The drivers returned, apparently annoyed at my request to wear a mask, one stating that I was the first person to ever request they wear a mask, another mover stated his grandma just passed away from Covid, and the other stating that he doesn't wear one because he has asthma (yes, the MOVER cant were a mask for safety, but is able to work moving furniture...) I advised for safety that they should be wearing one for ALL moves?? Esp knowing that they never wear a mask, I felt even more strongly for the safety of my family, we were also going to wear a mask. They proceed to have me sign the paper work needed and started to move a few items from my home. Literally they next thing I know they leave, not ONE word as to why, left my furniture on the curb and just left. I can only assume that they did not want to move me because they did not want to wear a mask and felt that I was not going to "tip" them, as one stated this to me also. Please Please Please do not use this company if you need help moving. They are COMPLTELY unprofessional and just rude. I called the number that one of the movers call me from, to tell me they were going to be even later than their 4 hours window they provided me. When I called them, they answered the phone and acted like they did not speak English. Literally every word I have wrote on this review is exactly what happened. I had no one to help with the move from this company that I had scheduled a month prior, again all because I required that they WEAR A DAMN MASK! I don't regret requiring this, it is unfortunate that this company does not require this at this state of our country with all the sickness we have all seen. Please use ANY other moving company as this one does not care nor put their customers first, clearly, as they allow the movers to just leave a job site without saying a word to their PAYING customers. If you decide to move forward with Moving Kings, you have been forewarned... Good Luck, seriously... read more
