A terrific takeout meal for a reasonable price! I got takeout from Regina's Restaurant and had a delicious meal (and leftover meal). I ordered and was able to pick up my food soon after. The restaurant itself seemed nice, with good service, and an Italian restaurant-ambiance. The food transported well, and was scrumptious day-of and day-after. I ordered the Horiatiki Salad and the Souvlaki Platter and was delighted by both: -Horiatiki Salad: This salad was scrumptious! Despite being having similar ingredients to a typical greek salad, it had so many layers. The feta melted in your mouth, and the balsamic and dill made the salad cohesively delicious! I couldn't put it down! -Souvlaki Platter: The chicken here was very moist and well-seasoned. The sauces were nice for dipping, and the rice and pita were sufficient. A very solid version of a typical dish! Overall, I greatly enjoyed what I ordered from Regina's Restaurant. The menu and cuisine were a touch confusing because the restaurant seemed advertised as Mediterranean, even though the majority of the menu items were Italian. Our son and his bride had their wedding reception at Glenwood's Rockville. The Event Manager, Patrick Monnig was amazing! The reception was perfect from start to end. He made sure all was well coordinated. The entire evening was flawless and magical. The guests also loved the food and the servers were attentive. Regina's restaurant is a Greek Italian blend restaurant located off of Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. Located inside a strip mall and decorated with pictures of Greece. The service was prompt and old-fashioned meaning they box your leftovers. I had the salmon Mediterranean served with spinach and roasted potatoes. Everything was delicious and garlicky. The prices are reasonable and a good value. One of my friends left her purse at the table and the manager ran outside to catch us before we left. I highly recommend this place! read more

I have to note the interior is very clean and pleasant. The wait staff was awesome! I had so many people come check in and refill drinks.. and the witty banter was refreshing as well!! Heard so many rave reviews about Regina's through my neighborhood APP that I decided to make a reservation for Easter Sunday dinner. Our reservation was for 6 pm for a party of 4. We were greeted very nicely and seated immediately! Our server Phillip, was wonderfully attentive and polite as it was only his 2nd day in the job. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and a couple of beers. Bread and butter were brought to the table. The mushrooms were divine! They were stuffed w spinach and feta with a dill butter sauce... We ordered our food and waited a lot longer than desired, however, the food was simply delicious and fresh. We ate all of it!!!! Hadn't had eggplant parmigiana that good in a very long time. I would definitely return and even consider some catered items to go. Hopefully the wait won't be as long next time. We did not know what to expect when we visited Regina's Restaurant and arrived with an open mind. We chose to visit because our daughter loves French onion soup and saw it on their menu. She said it was her favored only second to her grandmothers. Regina's is very spacious and has a large bar. We were greeted and seated by a hostess who filled our waters for us. For an appetizer we ordered the scampi which came with four good sized bad boys swimming in an amazing sauce. We kept the remaining sauce to the side so that we could dip the complimentary bread with. For my entree I ordered the shrimp and scallops which was highly recommended by the waiter. Boy was he right! It was delicious! We were very happy with the costumer service. Our daughter dropped both of her forks (separate times) and they quickly replaced all her silverware. We also asked for more warm bread and they did not hesitate to give us more (which is expected). One last thing, I explained to my daughter "you always know a great restaurant when the butter is not cold and hard", which Regina's did not disappoint!! We frequented this restaurant quite often and one of the wait staff knew what we like to eat and drink. We were away for a few months and returned to the restaurant with friends. Sadly, it is not what it used to be. The wait staff is all new, the chef was not there (he always came out to look at the diners) and the food was rather poorly prepared. We ordered three trout diners but each with slightly different sides and cooking times. Unfortunately, all three were identical. I don't know whether the fault was with the waitress or the kitchen. Once the food was served, the waitress disappeared . No water refills or inquiries about the food. The trout was dry and tasteless and the sauce did not complement the fish.. an order of spanakopita was also overcooked and dry. The best part of the meal was the bottle of Chianti. Regina was a bright star in Wheaton where good restaurants are rare. read more

I'm so happy to have this restaurant in my neighborhood!! It's so nice to have more options of wonderful food that we can walk to and there is something for everyone. We loved everything we ordered. The kids meals are not the average - in the best way possible... they are ample sized and fresh and homemade. Those chicken fingers are delicious as was the kids ravioli. The tomato sauce that came with that kids ravioli was wow!! Check out the onion soup - was sooo yum. The baked ziti was distinctly different from what you find in many other places - a wonderful spice mix that gives you more warm spices than Italian basil and oregano. Surprising but also very tasty. Firstly, I admittedly avoid Wheaton bc the traffic alone is a death defying feat. However, I was at Plants Alive and this popped up for nearby restaurants (which is relative). Looked good, good reviews, so we trekked over. Parking is tight and limited in the front. Getting in and out of lot was nerve wrecking, so drive carefully. At the end of a shopping plaza, I thought this odd fare for the area. It was fantastic. Dishes were like well executed home dishes with top quality ingredients. You could taste and see the vanilla bean in the creme brûlée- which is round so you get more of the yummy seared Carmel surface area. We'd return just for that dessert. Appreciated the wine selection, and we went with the specials. The burata appetizer is def recommended. The charred bread really gives it a nice finishing touch that puts it over. The steak was nicely seasoned, though overcooked, and we enjoyed it with the homemade mashed potatoes! Lovely little spot that is pleasant in such a chaotic area. read more

From the outside you would not think much of the place but inside was a different story. From the staff to the clean fresh atmosphere (including the bathrooms) it went beyond my first impression. Food was good and staff was very friendly. Some of our party ordered desert (my kids were not behaving so were not getting desert). This was unbeknownst to our waitress who kindly brought the 3 of us a small plate of 5 cookies (that were warm!). They were delicious and hit the spot for a sweet taste after dinner. What a delightful surprise! We visited Regina's for dinner recently on a friend's recommendation. It's unassuming from the outside - I didn't expect much beyond basic strip-mall fare. But it's attractive and inviting inside, with cordial and welcoming staff. The positives. The menu is Mediterranean, and I wanted to order most of what's on it! Leans heavily to seafood (my idea of heaven!) but also has an excellent range of chicken, beef, etc, and lots of meatless pasta options, salads, and so forth. I think almost anyone, regardless of dietary tastes or needs, could find some perfectly satisfying options on this menu. The baked ziti that my MIL ordered was VERY good (I'm dying to know whether that sweet note in the sauce was cinnamon, or nutmeg, or both - I couldn't quite tell), as was my husband's veal, and my shrimp stuffed with crab and dressed with lobster sauce was lovely. A crème brûlée we shared as dessert was pure, glorious decadence. The negatives (all QUITE trivial). Service was admittedly a little sluggish. We were there on a Sunday night and though it wasn't crowded, with only one server on the floor, things took a while. (Credit where it's due - she was continually busy! She wasn't slacking in any way.). Also, I feel like, when a server is asked for a recommendation, she should be able to provide one. Even if it's just to say, "well, the such-in-such is one of our best sellers." My other small quibble is with meal portion sizes - they seem rather uneven. MIL's ziti was a very generous serving that provided lunch leftovers the next day. Husband's veal was a hearty dinner. My shrimp was delicious but skimpy; had I known, I'd have ordered a side dish (Note that, as is common in parts of the Mediterranean, meals do not automatically come with a vegetable side.). But these were ***very*** minor flaws in an overall lovely dining experience. Miscellaneous information: Prices are comparable to similar restaurants in the area, with entrees ranging from about $15 up to over $30. There's a small parking lot in front; I suspect it fills up on busy nights, but there's other parking nearby. The sound level was quiet the night we were there but it was a slow night - but there are some wood surfaces in the decor that may help control noise a bit. The decor is simple but has a relaxed elegance. Overall, we were very well pleased with our first visit, and we look forward to returning! read more

The atmosphere inside is that of an old-school Italian restaurant: candlelit tables, mirrored walls, dark wood paneling. The staff were all very attentive and immediately seated us and brought out complimentary warm bread. My expectations were high just from that- bringing out free bread is a lost art at restaurants nowadays!! The menu has a mix of Greek and Italian fare. We ordered the Mediterranean sampler to start. The hummus and tzatziki were delicious. The eggplant dip was nice and light but I've had better. We both ordered the chicken souvlaki platter with fries. The portion size was really big- we definitely could've shared the plate after having that well-portioned appetizer. The chicken was very well-seasoned and the fries were basic but a perfect complement to the flavorful chicken. All throughout dinner, servers came by to refill our drinks constantly and check on us. Went there for the first time today. They have been opened for a year. Well, the visit started with a very warm welcome from a hostess. My husband was dressed casually so he asked if it was okay. The hostess did not even blink an eye and stated, absolutely! You are always welcome! Our server came right away to ask us if we want anything to drink while we were poured ice cold water. We ordered a bottle of organic wine. It was served within seconds and the server asked if we want anything as starters. We ordered the calamari! And it was soft and just the right consistency and yes! It's very good. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi with pasta and I just ordered the mussels (still an appetizer). The food was outstanding! The pasta was aldente and the shrimp was cooked just right! The mussels were fresh with the white wine sauce. Light and just beefy tender. Dessert - you need to try the limonada cake. It was very light and the hint of citrus was just right. Pass the chocolate cake (it wasn't the best). I will give this resto 5 stars! A must to visit for a date or a family gathering.
