I have no complaints about the routine cleanings--they've always been fine. However, I would not…read morerecommend this office for more extensive dental work. My husband has been going to Dr. White's office once a week for nearly two months trying to get a crown that fits properly without causing pain to his gums. He has been far more patient than most people would be, taking time off work every single week for repeated adjustments because the issue still hasn't been resolved. While they haven't charged him for the adjustment appointments, the constant trips back to the office because the crown wasn't fitted correctly the first time are unacceptable. His crown is still causing discomfort after all this time. What made the experience even more frustrating was their appointment policy. My husband missed one appointment and was charged a $100 no-show fee. There was also another appointment scheduled for the following day, which he mistakenly believed was the same appointment, resulting in a second $100 fee. The biggest issue isn't even the fees--it's that after nearly two months of weekly visits, the dental work still hasn't been corrected. I wish the same level of attention given to enforcing appointment fees had been applied to getting the crown right in the first place.

This office wasn't the right fit for me…read more My biggest concern was my interaction with the dentist (I believe her name was Dr. Aimee). I let her know upfront that I have a severe fear of needles. Instead of focusing on how we could work around that, she repeatedly told me that I should consider therapy. She also told me that my fear of needles--and even pain--is "all in my mind" and that I need to learn to separate what's happening in my brain from what I'm feeling in my body. Hearing that once would have been one thing, but she repeated it several times. Eventually I became emotional and politely asked her to stop because the conversation itself was making my anxiety worse. At that point, she appeared visibly frustrated, ended the exam, and referred me elsewhere, saying I would be better served by a provider who could offer "safe" dental care because I was "not safe" due to my fear of needles and pain. What made this especially disappointing is that several members of my family see this dentist and have told me she is usually very patient with people who struggle with dental anxiety and fear of needles. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I can tolerate needles and painful procedures when I'm treated with patience, empathy, and respect. What I struggled with was having therapy repeatedly suggested while I was already in a vulnerable position. I came in looking for dental care, not a psychological evaluation. The reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because the rest of the staff was kind and professional. They were apologetic when their X-ray equipment wasn't working properly, which required removing and repositioning the sensor several times. They handled that situation as well as they could. My issue wasn't with the staff--it was with how I felt dismissed and judged by the dentist. If you have dental anxiety or a fear of needles, I think it's important to know that experiences may vary significantly depending on how your concerns are addressed- and maybe the mood of the dentist. Looking at other reviews I'm not the only one who isn't impressed with her attitude towards patients.

Let me start off by saying that I'm not one of those people who loves going to the dentist. (Yes,…read morethey do exist, and I don't get it!). However, after a misguided year of going to Absolute Dental (I'll save you all my review of those crooks as they already have a 2 star rating), I switched to Dr. Eberle about 4 years ago, and I have been very pleased. First, they are so efficient. They all wear headsets to communicate with each other to make sure that whoever is supposed to see you next is on their way. I check in at the desk, where I'm always greeted by name, she radios to someone to come get me. My x-rays are taken, then the hygenist is radioed that it's her turn, and once she's done, she radios the dentist to take a final look. I've shown up early, and they take me early. Once I had the first appointment after their lunch hour and I showed up about 30 minutes early (just the way my schedule worked out). I anticipated playing on my iPhone for 30 minutes, but the hygenist was there and offered to go ahead and take me then! Once, I went in for a filling and I swear I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. This is a huge bonus for super-busy people like myself. Dental emergency? They will get you in! Had to schedule out farther than you wanted? If someone cancels, they'll call you and offer you that appointment time. Love it! As for the wallet - I always know how much I will be spending. The receptionist Lilly always has a print-out of what Dr. Eberle is recommending and the cost after insurance. I have never paid more than the estimate, and in fact one time I came out after a filling and was told that one step was not needed and therefore my bill was less than my quote. So if you're looking for a dentist, I would definitely recommend Dr. Eberle and his crew.

And when you're really overdue for a cleaning, those horror stories have a way causing unnecessary anxiety. So, I went to my trusty Yelp app to search for a local dentist and found Pyramid Family Dental. After reading the reviews, I decided to suck it up and give them a try. My first visit included xrays, pictures, and a comprehensive dental plan. I knew what to expect and what the cost would be. Everyone was SO NICE. No judgment, no sarcasm, no rudeness. Just a nice group of people that thank you for choosing them and then do everything they can to make you comfortable. I have now been to Pyramid Family Dental four times and it's safe to say that their kindness and professionalism isn't a fluke. They are just awesome! What really solidified the 5 stars is what I DON'T hear them do. Let me explain - there are so many establishments that don't realize that their patrons can hear what is happening at the desk. So every comment or remark they may utter about a customer can many times be heard by a separate customer. While in one of the rooms, I can hear almost everything that the front desk staff is saying and I have never heard anything unbecoming. You'll be treated with respect to your face and behind your back. :) Huge shoutout to Joyce. I've been in her chair a few times now and I just love her. I don't care for the scraping or poking, but she puts me at ease and gives me the perfect amount of detail so I know what to expect without freaking the hell out.
