My father felt immediately at home from the moment he walked through the entrance at Regency Fallbrook. He has resided there for almost a year now. His quality of life is wonderful. The staff are caring, compassionate and you can tell they truly enjoy what they do and where they work. My 95-year-old father-in-law moved to Regency nearly a year ago. He had recently been widowed and was very lonely living by himself. He is so happy now almost a year later. My mom was here for over a year. She has very challenging behaviors and they manage them fine. The front desk, dining and especially activities personnel are great. My issue is with the Care team being aloof and at times lacking empathy. This is the second facility that she has been in so I have perspective. The Care team from the top down made me personally feel uncomforted and my mom herself like a number not a whole person. At times when she was physically ill, I had to explain that she was unwell when should have picked up on the symptoms. The Care team never smiled or even bothered to acknowledge me when I visited often and it made me wonder if my mom herself was experiencing this kind of treatment . I think a senior care facility should be overflowing with warmth and compassion and Regency fell short of that expectation. read more

My siblings and I toured five different facilities before selecting Regency. It was the best decision we have ever made. The facility is clean, they have the best apartment layouts and the food is delicious. It is boutique in size so the residents and employees are able to bond - its an extension of family. There are daily activities and offsite excursions for residents to choose from. The staff, from the Executive Director to Kitchen Crew, Caregivers, Med Tech's, Activity Director, Maintenance, & Office Staff all have the perfect combination of warmth and professionalism. They truly care about the residents and it shows. Best of all, our parents have been very happy at Regency. I would like to say that Regency is a wonderful place to live I've been here two times and my husband was here before in memory care.

I would like to address something that is often not measurable and that is the culture of the organization at Regency Fallbrook. I have visited several retirement homes and had an opportunity to observe both residents and staff in their various activities. I have also had the opportunity to observe the relationships that exist between staff members and residents. In so many retirement homes I see people who appear to be somewhat depressed and living without hope of any kind. However, at Regency Fallbrook, I found people who were genuinely happy and were enjoying themselves and their surroundings. The residents at Regency are looking forward to what life has to offer, no matter what that is. I am not sure how or what the staff does or is taught but whatever it is it's effective. I suppose I could sum up the difference by saying that all of the retirement homes I have been to have caring staff members who treat the residents well. Regency goes to the next level in that that operate out of the love in their hearts and with affection for the residents. This makes all the difference in the world to everyone. The staff is happy to be working here and the residents are glad to see them. I do not reside here and have no economic interest of any kind in Regency or any other retirement home. I did spend time here for two different events; a seminar put on by a very knowledgeable attorney and Halloween evening in October of 2018. I volunteered to help where I could, dressed up in a costume, and had a wonderful time with the children that were there as well as the residents. Regency Fallbrook is truly a shining example of how people should treat each other no matter what their circumstances might be. read more

The staff members that work with the residents are great. The problem is with the monthly charges for small things that add up. "Removal of incontinent waste" when there is no incontinence. "laying out brush, comb, razor and shaving cream" when he does it by himself and uses an electric razor! The list goes on and on, but they nickel and dimed my husband's father and he moved out. The monthly "extra fees" were as much as his ~$ 2,500/mo. Again, the working staff was great, but if you have a relative here, review the 15+ pages (monthly) of extra charges or you will most likely end up being charged for services that aren't asked for, aren't necessary, and are ridiculous!!! read more

I have meant to write this review much sooner, but I guess it's better late than never. My mom was a resident of The Regency from July of 2014 until her passing in January 2015. She was 94 years old and truly loved her caregivers there. She was at the end of her life, and the staff was able to keep things running smoothly for her. As a matter of fact, Daniel and Morgan helped me to handle all sorts of things necessary for her comfort and care. I truly recommend The Regency in every way...The dining room, the staff, the many activities for the residents are perfect for those dear seniors. The Regency is not so gigantic that an elderly person feels "lost" or that there is "too much" to think about and do. Everything is calm and peaceful. I would always enjoy spending time with my mom in the dining room or watching t.v. with her in her little suite. I am grateful to everyone at The Regency. My mother has been at the Regency for over five years. She LOVES it. She has been in both the Assisted Living Section and now, due to dementia, is in the Memory Care Unit. The staff is amazing! The management, caregivers, activity directors...everyone is just great! The food is prepared by a wonderful chef. They have the choice of eating the "special" for that meal or can choose from a variety of menu items. My mother loves getting her hair "done," so she visits the beauty parlor regularly. Maria (a wonderful staff member) does the ladies nails about every two weeks. This is also a favorite for my mother. NOW...let's talk about activities! There's Bingo, crafts, fireside book readings, Bingo, sing-a-longs, flower decorating, Bingo, cooking classes, daily exercise classes, Bingo, theatre outings, movies, and...did I mention Bingo. My mother has loved all of the activities, especially Bingo. I reviewed all of the local places and found that this was the best for my mom. Everyone calls the residents by their name. Since they only have 61 apartments (plus memory care), they are able to give each resident the one-on-one attention that they want and deserve.
