Pros: Convenient for us since we live in Blanchard, recliners are phenomenal though I wish they did have a heat option. Cons: The popcorn has been atrocious every time we've gone. It tastes stale and is typically cold. Also, the staff move way too slow. We stood in line for close to 15 minutes with two families in front of us just to get stale, cold popcorn and flat soda. We may just go the extra few miles and go back to Warren (although that one has also gone downhill since Regal bought it). read more

Most unprofessional experience EVER! You know it was bad because who writes reviews on movie theaters anyways! I purchased and chose my reserved seats but when I arrived to the theatre my seats were taken by other audience members. The movie was going to begin soon so instead of making a commotion I went to your manager and asked him to help us. He then said the entire auditorium was changed from the original one so all the seats had changed too. A line of other ticket buyers began forming because all the seats were taken even though you had sold us more tickets prior. We missed 20 minutes of the beginning of the movie and the entire audience was disturbed because of this problem and your manager's unprofessional behavior. This is my first time at this location and it's safe to say that it is my last and many other's last visit unless you make this right. read more

Regal Spotlight - Restroom - Cinema Near Me - Norman, Oklahoma

So basically me and my girlfriend came to see Captain America at 10:40 and we get here late enough to miss the previews (usually 20mins) so we got there around 11:01ish and we proceeded to wait for 10 minutes after politely knocking on the glass and making sure they see me, which they did and proceeded to ignore me lol. Then we get acknowledged and the manager comes to the door to inform us that he closes the doors and makes sure nobody gets in 20 mins after the last movie starts. The last movie started at 10:50 meaning doors lock at 11:10. So that means they intentionally waited 10 mins to make sure we didn't get in. Then a group of people come over and knock on the glass and get let in after he told me regardless of if I have tickets or not he wouldn't let me in. I was being respectful and was not banging on the glass or anything to provoke or make him feel the need to make sure me and my girlfriend couldn't come in and purchase their overpriced 17 dollar tickets. I am heated enough to get on yelp and leave a review which isn't like me. If I could leave 0 stars I would. #takeregalspotlightoutofbusiness read more

I went here a ton as a kid. Now I work here, and honestly love it. I'm not in any way promoting, but I genuinely had a hard time finding a job I enjoy, and this is it. The workers and managers are great, and I'm so happy to see this place up and running again. I've read these reviews, and want to do everything I can to make this an enjoyable place for everyone. Apart from being an employee, the theater itself is amazing. I agree, they need heated seats, but everything is clean and working nicely, seats are beyond comfortable. UPDATE***** I reported this issue on Regal website and they responded very quickly and made it right!!!! We went here last night to see Detective Pikachu and a few weeks ago as well. Last night we chose this Regal because it would be hard to get tickets at Moore Warren on Friday evening right before the movie. THIS time it did not smell badly. Previously, it smelled like mildew, but they seem to have fixed that problem. The tickets and concessions are wildly expensive for not being a great theatre. I literally spend that much at the Warren and it's bigger and nicer with better seats, sound, picture etc. The biggest issue we had last night was in the middle of the movie, when the movie shut off and the lights came up with no explanation. Then it took a good 10+ min for it to come back on and then 10+ more min after that for the lights to go back down. Coming from someone with anxiety and being mindful of all of the movie theatre/school shootings lately, we were pretty freaked out with no reassurance and no explanation. Just a really bad experience. I was shaking in fear and it took way too long for any kind of resolve. It definitely took away from the experience. They definitely should have refunded us, but nothing was addressed with no apology or anything. Pretty disappointing read more

Probably the worst movie theater I've ever been to. From the crammed seats to the cold popcorn it makes it difficult to enjoy the movie experience. The rows barely slant up making the back of the theater the best seats. Even the middle section you have to look up the majority of the time. The seats are uncomfortable and very close together. There's also very little leg room. I'm 5'4" and small so I can't imagine being a big dude watching a movie here. The prices are your typical overpriced movie theater ones. When I first moved to Norman, I thought this theater was the bees knees. That's only because I didn't know any better coming from a small town and having another crappy movie theater there. I didn't understand what real movie going was until the Warren came to town. Do yourself a favor, and skip this place, and head right over to the Warren theater to watch a movie. I had not seen a movie in Norman in forever, but this weekend saw Zombieland 2 and had a great experience (not at the Regal). After the OU game we decided to see a movie, and the Regal was just down the street. This location has not been very good in a while, but it was convenient. We get there and see times are 6:30 and 7:00?? Nothing between 7 & 10 o'clock? We stayed for about 20 minutes checking times, snack selection and prices. At $10 a ticket this place is over-priced. I realize it is not busy enough to completely remodel but it seems that Regal has just given up here. We checked times for the Warren and discovered the AMC location down the street is now open! This is the worst movie theatre I have been too. The tickets are pricey for what environment you are in. It smelled awful. It smelled like pee everywhere. I could hardly stand it. This place is nasty. Smells like a bathroom in the theater. Except one time last year and when they first opened was it ever clean when I have been here. I will just wait for availability at the Moore Warren regal theater from now on. Carpet was dirty. Wife said the women's bathroom was nasty at the front entrance. Not sure of any others. I really like this Theater. Where the Regal cinemas spotlight 14 really shines is in their customer service. The people/employees that work here are very friendly and generous. The sodas and popcorn tubs are huge and there's no hesitation refilling them. I noticed that they have a huge area upstairs with a restaurant and games. It appeared to me that the kids that I saw upstairs we're having a great time. Next time I go to this theater I will go and explore so I can update this review. I would have no hesitations whatsoever to come back and remove joy a movie here. read more

It's not the best theatre i've ever been to0, nor is it the worst. The seats kind of capture you and aren't that comfy. Sometimes the theaters smell like wet dog or feet, take your pick. It's never really too crowded. People in Oklahoma are odd. It's an empty theatre with 4 people in it and you choose to sit in the same row as me. What's wrong with the empty row in front or in back of me? Now when I get up to go to the bathroom, which I will, because my bladder is the size of a pee, I'm going to feel like a dick because YOU CHOSE to sit in my row even though every other row is empty. Once a really nice movie theater, the Hollywood has been eclipsed by the Warren in Moore. Dingy inside and out, the Hollywood begs for a makeover. That said, it's still less expensive than the Warren, as well as less crowded, which could be useful if you really have to see that hit movie on opening night. They have a room with video games, as well as rooms for hosting a kid's birthday party. Food and drink selection are average, with nothing unusual on offer. read more

Quite literally the worst experience I have ever had at a theatre. The seats were wet and smelled moldy. You could see spots where some of the seats were drying. Every single chair in the theatre was wet, we checked a few and so did some other people. The armrests were soaked as well. Two people actually left before the movie even started because their clothes were wet. The seats are also super wobbly and uncomfortable, I kept sliding into the back of the chair and it would try to fold back up. It was literally crushing me. 30 mins into the movie and my lower back was killing me. When the movie started, we couldn't see because the lights were still on. We had to actually ask someone to turn the lights off, and their response was "so, you want the lights off?" Um, duh? I have glasses and couldn't see the screen with the lights on because of the glare. I have never been to a theatre where the lights didn't automatically turn off before the movie. We came here 6 months before and had a great time, no wet seats, no mold smell, lights went out when they were supposed to. When we left, there were no employees anywhere except someone sweeping, and he finished and immediately took his shirt off and walked out. Definitely will not be coming back here. read more

It's been awhile since going out to the movies because it's so darn pricey these days and was very disappointed with our visit For the price you spend to catch a movie and enjoy some concession treats this place was in dire need of some tender loving care! It was very run down and dirty, including our movie screen room the house dimming lights weren't working. I had to step out during the movie to find out why they were still on. The concession stand employee proceeded to tell me they could turn off manually, but it would be very dark. Don't you usually watch a movie in the dark?? Anyways after about 15 minutes into the movie they turned them off. We almost left to ask for refund because spending almost $30 for movie and snacks was ridiculous! Also, to not even tell us they were having issues was poor service on their part. I'm not sure how long this place will stay open, we will pass on going to this theater anytime soon. Would probably give one star if I could. Tickets are sold at concession stands but there were no indication of that. Customer service was very unprofessional, like a bunch of "dudes" just chilling out and they'll sell you tickets once they're done making fun of each other. I was very pleased with the experience. My party consisted of three adults, 5-yr-old, and a wheelchair.Obviously, I'd like to pay less for tickets and snacks, but the theater spacious and comfortable. The restrooms did need attention, but with my crew I failed to notify anyone of my concerns. All staff members were friendly, patient, and accommodating. The lobby has an upstairs area available to all ages and catering to birthday party gatherings. Upon entry, several cardboard cut-outs of upcoming movies are displayed, and a few tables with built in stools are available to the right. Typical concession food includes popcorn (customers add butter at separate station), nachos, pretzel (cheese extra $), and pickles. NO Dr. Pepper... Coke products with Mr. Pibb on the soda selection. The biggest obstacle we've encountered thus far has concerned carpeted areas and ramps....so be prepared to assist in the push up to the ticket-taker before entering the theater section. Handicapped seating is at the very top of the theater, which gave me piece of mind if we had to shuffle in and out during the movie (potty break, more napkins, etc.). About 4 spaces for wheel chairs to park. I was disappointed by the lack of cup holders on the seats bordering the handicapped spaces. Sound and picture quality were good, but there was a noticeable tear/line in the screen near the top just right of center. All in all, my family and I had a great experience together watching an all time Disney classic reinvented. read more

It's a movie theater, so there's not much to review. It's clean and smells delectably of popcorn upon walking in... but staff appear to never have received training in customer service (probably just "couldn't care less" attitude typical of the teenage years). The popcorn's disappointing, but the nachos are a solid option for sharing. What is worst about this theater is the tiny row space... both my boyfriend and I are tall - these seats are the worst! Consider bringing your own snacks and picking seats that don't have anyone in front of you so you can put your feet up. read more

This theatre has its imperfections, and certainly isn't on the same tier as the Warren, but you just can't beat this theatre's overall lack of crowds and extremely comfortable seats (they're in a fixed reclining position with very billowy headrests). They could use more legroom, though. Honestly, I'd rather come to a movie here on Friday night as opposed to driving 5 extra miles to the Warren and getting there an hour early, only to sit in the front half of the grand auditorium and strain my neck the entire movie. This theatre, on the other hand, rarely sells out, and on weekdays it's not unheard of to get an entire auditorium to yourself. Picture and sound are always top-notch here, too. The main problem with this place is that it's not much cheaper than the Warren, and on some days and times it's actually more expensive. If it switched to a "value" pricing model like the Tinseltown in OKC I don't think as many people would drive past this place to go to the Warren. But maybe they shouldn't, because I love the lack of crowds. Also, on more than one occasion I've walked into an unclean auditorium with trash everywhere. I think these occasions were on weekdays, but still. When I worked at a movie theater this was far from acceptable. read more

While the Hollywood may have seen better days, this is still a good spot to catch a flick. If you live in Norman, it can be a welcome quick trip to the theater. Prices are only a little bit cheaper than the Warren, but between the lower ticket price and the gas you save, it certainly reflects well on your wallet. What I have had from concessions was typical theater prices, maybe a bit cheaper, but everything tasted pretty good, from the hot dogs to the popcorn. The staff is usually pretty friendly and I have never been trapped in an ungodly long line for concessions or a movie. In fact, most of the time you may be one of a handful of people screening a movie, depending on the day. While the Warren offers a more luxurious experience, Hollywood has set themselves apart by offering movies that the Warren does not. For instance, I saw The Artist there when no other close theaters were offering it. It's a smart move on their part. They have an arcade upstairs as well! This is an old school joint that I go to if I want things closer, cheaper, quieter or harder to find in theaters. They also seem to fill in the time slots between the Warren so you can fit a movie better into your schedule. Don't rule it out! read more

The Spotlight may not have all the bells and whistles of the newer, bigger theaters in the metro (like the Warren), but it's more than adequate for a day or evening out at the movies. Their staff is friendly and always ready to help, and the Regal Club rewards program is one of the better ones in the industry. Plus, it's always important to support your local theater; sure, it's fun to drive up to Moore or OKC every once in a while for a big event movie, but most of the time I'd rather just go to my hometown theater. I've never had a bad experience at the Spotlight, something I can't say for the other, "nicer" cinemas in the metro. read more

If I could leave no stars I would. For one I spend 35$ for 2 tickets and then a candy to see Brightburn last night (amazing movie) anyway we get into the theatre and it smells of mold me and my girlfriend go to sit down and the chairs are SOAKED they are WET and the arm rests all look like they were sprayed with a water hose I attached photos to show you can literally see the CHAIRS DRYING. The lights were all on during the previews but usually when the movie starts the lights turn off right? Not here. I had to get up about 15 minutes into the movie and ask a lady at the front counter and she said "oh you want them off?" Like I'm some idiot they turned off the lights and we tried to switch seats but EVERY SEAT was soaked. 2 people got up and left the smell was awful and most of the seats were very uncomfortable at this point the movie started so I couldn't ask for a refund. When we were on our way out I was going to say something but there was NO EMPLOYEES. I literally watched an employee take his regal shirt off and grab his keys and leave. If the theatre smells like mold and the seats are soaked you'd think that theatre would be closed. I'm beyond pissed at this experience. read more

My wife and I like to go to the Spotlight on weekday nights. There is no crowd and you have many options of seating. Its just a lot easier enjoying a movie at this local movie theater rather then driving to Warren or downtown. Yea it doesn't have all the services that bigger movie houses have, but they make up for it in customer service and ease of use. read more
