Visiting the Improv was the center of our date night on the plaza and we really enjoyed it. The ticket purchase was a breeze and there is a lounge area where you can wait for the theater to open for the next show. We went to the 7:30 show on a Saturday night (though it started about 10 minutes late). It was divided into three segments with a different group performing for each and a break between the second and third. It seemed to get better with each group that went on stage, but all were entertaining. It was good and we'll definitely be back for more. Especially love that they have a family-friendly show at 6 and love that they offer classes. This is good, solid community stuff right here. I really like what they're doing and how hard they're working at it, but from a more objective perspective, the lounge up front needs some attention. It feels undeveloped and uninviting. We opted to wait in The Pritchard next door. I understand that this just needs time and budget, so please don't let it deter you, the thing OKC Improv really needs then is more visitors, right? Let's help this thing grow into something great!

Adele, producer and accomplished dancer, always has a special group of guests to entertain and titilate your fancy. Adele likes feathers and they look good on her and you will be able to see a great deal of her behind the feathers. She will have a new costume to start every show and they will compliment her form and moves and your imagination - perhaps a silver wolf or a bird of paradise, always new and nice. Her guest performers are fun and provide a variety of special burlesque entertainment. Perhaps you like hula hoops, or a black wolf with all the moves, or a WWII soldier - you may have seen these outfits and many others on Ms Wolf's guests and they always come off to reveal the treasures that lay beneath. One of the highlights of every show is the gorgeous guest bellydancer, somehow managing to look exotic and beautiful, seemingly expending little or no effort, as she dances, glides, shimmies and teases. There is always a surprise at the Adele Wolf shows: perhaps Adele's mother will make another guest birthday or anniversary appearance; maybe she will think up another game of contestants taking the panties off the clothesline with, what else, their mouths; and always prizes that will have the guests in stitches. You will want to return to see who the next MC will be: a good looking fifth grade teacher or perhaps a cross dresser that will take your breath away, you never know. And, not last or least, there will be the tall person, dressed in black, quiet but the ever present Beaver! who does the hard stuff like pulling numbers out of a hat or holding the hat in a provocative way for another guest to draw the numbers. You will leave with a bit of wispy bit of smoke curling about your mind about who this dazzling auburn haired beauty really is. This is Adele Wolf's Burlesque, always fun, always a class act done with style and grace!

The outdoor area is sloped perfectly, and it allows for an ideal stadium seating type view. They have a great speaker system for the outdoor area along with stadium style lighting. Two are in the art gallery; one off of paseo drive and the other in parking lot off 29th and dewey. The other two entrances I saw led directly to the outdoor stage that came from the alley on the south between sauced and the theatre, and then 29th street on the north The art gallery is artsy and they have a small concession stand in there with canned beer, wine, water, soda, and some chips and candy. There's also a small clothing store/art gallery attached on the north side

McCall's immersive light sculptures invite you to interact with but not touch the light. So much fun to walk through sculptural beams made of mist and projected light. This sensory experience was truly amazing. It was also a fun challenge to try to capture the images. The 2-D images on film barely scratch the surface of what you will enjoy in the Contemporary Arts Center. Ask questions to learn more. It was so interesting to hear about the installation. The center is just two floors of art. The exhibits change regularly. Parking and entry to the museum are both free. Enjoy the Solid Light.

I don't have enough adjectives for it! Lots of interactive pieces. The first floor was full of student art (from the adjacent studio I believe) and the third floor held a evocative exhibit, Jakian Parks: The Black Land. I wish I had had enough time to explore the grounds and the outside art. The best thing about OCAC is that it is free. (Please feel free to support this place and a $5 donation is encouraged.) I'm anxious to see what exhibits are on view the next time I'm in OKC.

Both times, the staff has been attentive, friendly, prompt, and we have had two great experiences. I only review now because I was shocked at how many negative reviews have come out. There were a lot of oddball reviews I read, to each their own. This comedy club has been a wonderful "date night" with my wife both times, and I recommend it. The show was a good time, me and my boyfriend will be coming back.
