It's fairly controversial and there are pros and cons to the meaning but I won't get into tht. It's up to your interpretations. The center is an awesome place for these types of events. It's a little pricey so do you due diligence before you decide to go or not.

Apparently one of the perks of being a student is she can get two free tickets to any performance at the OCCC Performing Arts Center. When she told me she wanted to go see Wizard of Oz on ice, I said "You know what? Heck yeah!" I love L. Frank Baum's original classic and while the story on ice took some liberties with the story (certainly an interesting interpretation) some parts of the original story were enacted as they were in the book. I was so blown away by the talent, the costumes etc that what really blew my mind was that these are not theater students at OCCC. These were professional performers that travel around and OCCC contracts them for a show. Tickets typically start around $30 and are free for students. That is just such a nice perk! I also have to mention that this center is state of the art. The seats we had were great (we expected nose bleeds and that was not the case) the lighting was top notch, the bathrooms were clean and orderly, the staff was professional and welcoming, the facility is maintained well. I have to come back to see something else, I believe in March they will be having a Pink Floyd laser show.

The young lady who answered the phone was very sweet in explaining things. They told us to arrive between 6:00-6:16 pm, seatings was at 6:30. The entrance is on the west side of a church. Area was clean and once inside there was sitting areas to wait. At 6:45pm the doors opened and they called each party to come in. Once in the room, there was a photographer taking picture with some of the characters of the show. You are seated with other people. Our waitress name was Dandi, very sweet. They provide tea, water and coffee to drink and you get a choice between chicken or brisket for the main. The sides are set and you can remove but not changed. Each seat had a garden salad at each seat with ranch and they had a back of very delicious rolls. While everyone is eating there was a gentleman singing and playing the guitar. The show started shortly after everyone got done eating. The singers are good as well as the dancers. Keep in mind this is not a Branson production. The crowd was mostly seniors and if desired dancing is allowed. Intermission happened and a large plater of desserts were brought to the table. I got the warm bread pudding and it was delicious. Show ended at 10:30 and the singers and dancers were at the exit thanking everyone for coming. Lovely evening. They give discount codes on Facebook and I heard somebody say they do offer a senior discount. For the two of us was $79.50.

CST has a great reception area with art on display and they sell drinks including cocktails, and snacks. The theatre scene is alive and well in Oklahoma. Adele, producer and accomplished dancer, always has a special group of guests to entertain and titilate your fancy. Adele likes feathers and they look good on her and you will be able to see a great deal of her behind the feathers. She will have a new costume to start every show and they will compliment her form and moves and your imagination - perhaps a silver wolf or a bird of paradise, always new and nice. Her guest performers are fun and provide a variety of special burlesque entertainment. Perhaps you like hula hoops, or a black wolf with all the moves, or a WWII soldier - you may have seen these outfits and many others on Ms Wolf's guests and they always come off to reveal the treasures that lay beneath. One of the highlights of every show is the gorgeous guest bellydancer, somehow managing to look exotic and beautiful, seemingly expending little or no effort, as she dances, glides, shimmies and teases. There is always a surprise at the Adele Wolf shows: perhaps Adele's mother will make another guest birthday or anniversary appearance; maybe she will think up another game of contestants taking the panties off the clothesline with, what else, their mouths; and always prizes that will have the guests in stitches. You will want to return to see who the next MC will be: a good looking fifth grade teacher or perhaps a cross dresser that will take your breath away, you never know. And, not last or least, there will be the tall person, dressed in black, quiet but the ever present Beaver! who does the hard stuff like pulling numbers out of a hat or holding the hat in a provocative way for another guest to draw the numbers. You will leave with a bit of wispy bit of smoke curling about your mind about who this dazzling auburn haired beauty really is. This is Adele Wolf's Burlesque, always fun, always a class act done with style and grace!

Anyway they had it set up with 5 rows across in front of the stage with anywhere from 12-16 chairs per row. They weren't all the same. Then around tht were round bar top height tables with tall chairs(weren't very comfortable IMO). Behind tht was the sound guy and the snack area. Candy, popcorn, side, water, coffee etc. They also were offering a root beer float which I found odd but hey. Why not. Everything was reasonable.
