I was totally stoked to learn that Chuck E. Cheese has wine and beer (okay their selection could be better, but still, it doesn't matter with this many kids, you need a drink). The lemonade is too sweet. The birthday show was cute. But they combined birthday parties which is a rip-off. There is this thing where the Birthday child stands inside with a parent to catch tickets that are flying by and they get to keep them and change them for stuff. The white cake is actually good.

I played all of them -- highly recommend the "Golf & Games" package that's $10 -- and liked the easy course the best, because it has the most opportunities for you to get holes-in-one (and who doesn't love the thrill of a hole-in-one!?). All of the courses are pretty straightforward--there aren't fancy obstacles (e.g., windmills, volcano holes, moving drawbridges), though the medium and hard courses have a hole that covers three stories of ground, which is pretty cool and unique. The main difference between the easy course and the others is the ability to aim straight at the hole on the easy course, while the other courses make you play bank shots or hit it around the corner to get to the hole. While most of the holes were in good condition, there were a few that could use some recarpeting. And generally, I wish there were more fun obstacles, both in play and for decoration. On the indoor side of Celebration Station, I was a little disappointed at how many games were broken -- nearly everything upstairs was out of order, and several of the games on the lower level were as well. And miss me with the $2.50 it takes to play the claw machines (if $10 = 40 credits, the claw machines require 10 credits to play), that's terrible value. I'd come back for the mini-golf and maybe to try the go carts, but I'd pass on the arcade.

She loves miniature golf, so I was going to take her to try out the mini golf at Brickopolis. Unfortunately, they were closed when their hours said open. I called them and was told they closed early due to it being so slow that evening. I told them we were really looking forward to mini golf. The manager said give me a second and I'll come out there. They went ahead and let us play and didn't charge us. They also waited until we were done to close up. Customer service and satisfaction here is definitely taken seriously. They were so nice to accommodate us considering they had already closed. The course is a really fun course that is located right next to the Bricktown Canal. They also have a building on the other side of the canal with arcade games and laser tag. This is a fun spot if your looking for some fun activities to do in Bricktown, and they will make sure that you're taken care of!

I hadn't been to D&B in years as there is not one in my area in Southern California. I'm that guy who will take a good Wing over a Steak any day. Earlier this week, I took my kids to Red Door Escape Room, for their first escape room experience. They loved it and immediately asked to go back! I prefer supporting small, local businesses any time I can, so I chose Moore Escape Rooms for our next adventure! We chose Mystery Mountain. At $27 per person, it ended up feeling like a scam, to sit in a fully lit room and open locks for an hour. Poorly clued puzzles required an unreasonable leap in thinking. Specifically, after solving a clue and opening a lock, there was no logical next step, unless we got a hint from the employee. We'd already figured out and attempted most of the hints by the time they showed up on the screen, but didn't know where or how to apply them. I'm not sure if we were doing the directional locks wrong, but the coordinates that opened the lock, were ones we'd already figured out and used. Equipment error shouldn't have been able to ruin the entire experience. Also, there wasn't other things for people to do in the room simultaneously, so we ended up sitting in a circle, in the middle of the dirty AstroTurf, all trying to work off the same pieces of paper, everyone holding a lock in their hands. Boring. I assumed the lights would at least dim, the closer to sunset it became, to add a sense of urgency to the gameplay! Nope, just a fully lit fluorescent bulb overhead. No background forest noises either. They're was just very little attention shown to game immersion. The room could've used a better mix of puzzles and tasks (including finding hidden items) in addition to ciphers and locks. This could've encouraged different thinking strategies and some physical activity. I'd love a refund, but I know that's a big ask. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back and I will be leaving this same review online, not because I'm mad, but because that's a lot of money to spend on an experience that not much care, maintenance, or thought seemed to go into.
