We got right in, got snacks from concessions right away and found our seats (early so we had our choice of seating locations). I must admit, I wasn't a fan of the smell of beer inside the theater, or the 2 parents drinking beer next to their kids next to us. Whoa whoa whoa!!! I've seen three movies here and two of them nearly blasted my eardrums! And just when I thought it was me, amidst a break in silence, a fellow behind me screamed "OW! My EARS!" and I witnessed two others covering their ears. Yikes. The seats here don't recline and the popcorn has a funky flavor. :( The staff isn't the most friendly, but they rarely are at theaters so that's no surprise. I don't order snacks at the movies, so I can't speak to wait times, food quality, customer service, etc. The theater was very clean. The seats were very comfortable and reclined a bit. The screen was very clean. The projector was clear and in focus. The Dolby Atmos system worked and there were no audible blown speakers. I easily purchased my ticket at the booth outside, had a smiling employee tear it, sat down and watched the movie without issue and left. Perfect experience in my book. read more

Nice enough facility, clean, good selection of movies and showings. Plus they know the meaning of "extra butter please". Parking can be a bit of a challenge on busy mall shopping days. The service is where they fall short. My experience is thay there is rarely a big crowd for movies, small town and all that. What crowds they have they don't handle in a timely fashion. Consistently under staffed both at the ticket counter and concessions. When there are ten people in line you shouldn't have to wait more than a couple minutes? They have to watch their payroll costs I'm sure, I get that, but it seems like there must be a better balance of staff to customers? And it's frustrating to see other employees not working the lines when there is a back-up. They are the only game in town for new box office releases, captive audience, but I wish they up their staffing. read more

Not sure why everyone is complaining! My husband and I have been coming to this movie theater for a few years and we absolutely love it! We can have a beer and dinner, snacks- whatever we may please! The seating arrangement is a new tool but it's just organization. We in our part enjoy this new tool because we do find teenagers/ children sneaking in. Poorly run corporate business that cares nothing about their customers experience. Movies next door to the cinema you are in can be heard and felt while you are trying to enjoy your movie. Manager on duty Casey could care less are the customers as well. When this what brought to her attention she said she was aware of this and told me to call corporate to complain. The theater is clean and seats very comfortable. All the staff is very nice and do their best in a crowded situation. The reason I did not give this theater five stars is because of two things; 1) the requirement to pick your seat. I hate that. What was wrong with just sitting in any available seat? If you want a particular area you just have to get there early. As it is, when I have picked my seat and went into the theater once the lights were turned down I couldn't see the seat numbers! I just picked a seat; 2) parking is awful most times that I have gone, which is on the weekends since I work full time and don't have the luxury to go during times it is less busy. If Regal wants to stick with assigned seating have the seat numbers illuminated so a customer can see the number then maybe have the light be out if the seat has been reserved when ticket is purchased (just make sure that is well know to the customer at the time of purchase). That would come at cost I know to retrofit the theater, at best I think to have the seat numbers illuminated would really help in my view. read more

I get having the volume up when the theater is full of people but the viewing had maybe 30 people in the theater at the time which does not require the volume to be so high. A year on from my previous review finds the staff slightly more aware of Regal/IMAX promotions. However, they are still handing out previously warn 3D glasses complete with smudged and scratched lenses - that are only made worse if you attempt to clean them yourself. Really Regal? Is that what the $17+ ticket price gets me? The IMAX screen is also still noticeably filthy. On the plus side, a number of the auditoriums have received new seats and the IMAX theater seats are now "reserved seating," which is great if you buy your tickets early - but not so much if you don't! Another review mentioned that the Dolby Atmos works great, however, according to https://www.dolby.com/us/en/find-a-movie-theatre.html, this theater doesn't have that. That website shows the nearest Dolby theater is in Madras, which offers Dolby 7.1 surround (not Atmos). It may be that the Regal Cinemas Old Mill 16 & IMAX also offers Dobly 7.1 surround as I saw it touted after the many previews and just before the start of Rogue One - A Star Wars Story last week. However, given my past experience with this theater, I'm inclined to believe the Dolby website more than Regal advertising. 2 stars for waiting in line 30 mins for popcorn and sodas. We arrived at 6pm for a 6:30 movie. The concession line had three individuals waiting to be served. There was one line in the middle which was serving two registers. The next thing we knew more people entered. Instead of getting in line choose to go straight to the registers on the left and right. Cutting in front of us that had been waiting. By doing so, it took us 30 mins and late for the start of our movie. This has been an on going problem for this theater. It's so frustrating to see people take advantage of others by not being considerate. But I put the blame mostly on the theater. Every time we go to the movies the concession line are arranged a different way. Set up the Disneyland style line ( one zig zag line that serves all available registers). And then leave the damn thing alone. IT WORKS!!!! read more

Unfortunately, this theater happens to be Bend's only theater that showcases blockbuster hits, so if a local wishes to see an upcoming attraction, then this theater must suffice. Aside from insufficient muffling throughout the walls, meaning that you can hear the adjoining theaters movie playing, Regal Cinemas is the worst theater I have ever visited. One of the most appalling aspects of Regal Cinemas is the staff. Over the past 13 years the management has been progressively worse. Friends and family have mentioned how unorganized and frantic the theater is run, it's comparable to a circus. Even though we strongly dislike the cinema, we decided to give it another try with Fantastic Beast: The Crimes of Grindewald Fandom Event. The movie came out on the 16th of November but this was an opportunity to see it on the 13th instead. My daughter is a die-hard Harry Potter fan and has been looking forward to this movie for two years, without exaggeration. To see the fandom event was a wonderful treat for her and her friends. As we were sitting in the theater with a party of ten, we have a manager inform us that the movie may take half an hour to play due to technical difficulties. This alone confirmed my hesitation of coming. After an hour, the manager announced that the movie wouldn't be able to play. My daughter was distraught. The young staff members made it clear that they couldn't care less about our predicament and continued to chat amongst themselves behind the popcorn stand while the distressed managers tended poorly to the crowd. It's obvious that the staff are underpaid millennials who work a dead end job to perhaps pay off student loans. Aside from these generalizations, I would not recommend Regal Cinemas due to deplorable staffing, multiple theater malfunctions, and poorly constructed theaters. read more

I've gone to many Regal theaters but this one was very unfriendly employees. Where they sell the tickets you couldn't read what was playing in the people that were working wouldn't help you to know what time the movies were or which ones were ready to be watched. Kate was the employee that was not helpful at all. The Concession area you could not tell which registers were open which were closed when you ask they just yelled at you to go stand in line. And wait your turn. When we were looking for the theater the theater that was listed on the ticket didn't have the movie that we were supposed to watch listed outside the movie theater it was a very trying visit to this Regal theater. I've been to the theater tons of times, but they really need to work on their customer service. Me and my fiancée went to see a movie yesterday morning, and I was very surprised with how some of the workers talk to the guests. I was trying to order some food and the worker was very rude towards me. After he got my god order in, I handed him cash and I was told that since they were low on change, he was going to have to round UP my amount and make me pay more. We got our food and once we got into the theater room I noticed part of our order was missing. I went back to the counter and I dealt with the same guy. He asked if I was still waiting on my food and I just let him know part of it was missing, and without apologizing or saying anything to me, he went into the back, grabbed it, handed it to me and that was all. Two stars for their aggressive hard sell at the box office. We buy matinee tickets with a twenty... "How about donating the remainder ($5) to charity" "No thanks, I just want my change..." "How about $1?..." "Just my change..." "HAVE a nice day" -- this was spoken with real attitude. So are these box office guys getting a commission every time a person donates? I prefer to choose my charities, not have them thrust upon me. The rest of the experience was average for a large multiplex. Seats were comfy. 20 minutes of previews, too long for my taste. You know what I find funny is you have one person complain that the seats go back too far then you have another person complain that they don't go back far enough so who is correct we want to be comfortable because we believe we're paying too much for a tickets but in reality we are paying about $5 an hour for entertainment that's not bad.. Then you have people complain about the food its too expensive or not that good then don't buy it eat before you go and then just go enjoy the movie for 10 dollars or 11 whatever it is and get 2 hours of intertanement. My opinion of this theater is the people are friendly enough the foods ok the pizza is really good they need to hire a new cleaning crew because it's not very clean in the theater but we're not laying on the ground so who cares we go there to watch a movie and go home and it does well at that. What I think people should be more concerned about is we've had 2 movie theater shootings in theaters where they don't allow firearms so regal decides that we shouldn't allow firearms in this theater either it will make you safer am I the only one that finds this a little annoying howd it work for the other 2 theaters and now we are only checking women's purses they look over the top then decide there's no firearm in there and let them go in all the shootings were done by men not by women and there Could Be a firearm at the bottom of the purse where they don't check and they let the man go by and to make it even worse they make these poor employees who make a little over $9 an hour do security checks for firearms. Don't get me wrong we shouldn't be checking anybody's purses or bodys man or women's. I would rather have law abiding people in there with firearms than criminal doing what there doing now. But not to allow legal law abiding citizen to carry anywhere is stupid. I hope and pray that there will never be an issue in this theater especially since there will be no good guys in there with firearms. I've been to 3 movies here over the Christmas holidays. In 2 of them I was freezing cold and could hear the movie next door. The third one, last night, I broke a tooth on my 6.99 small popcorn which was full of unpopped corn. My husband discouraged me from talking to the manager about it. Now I'll have a dental bill! Its the only theater in Bend that shows new movies. So if you go take a warm coat, try to not listen to the theater next door and don't eat the popcorn! read more

This is regarding an incident yesterday including a policy that infringes on my rights as a breastfeeding mother in the State of Oregon. My husband and I were gifted movie passes for Regal Entertainment Group this past Christmas, and we decided to use these passes this weekend to see Deadpool, while my older children were with their Dad. We purchase tickets for and watch movies at the Old Mill 16 location in Bend, Oregon. I went to purchase the tickets shortly before 4pm yesterday, April 9th, for the 7:10 showing. I clearly had my infant son with me at the time of this transaction, and nothing was visibly or noticeably posted about a new policy Regal has, nor was anything said by any staff. When my husband and I arrived at 7pm for the showtime, I handed our tickets to an employee who informed me that we were not allowed to bring our infant with us into the theater. I am a breastfeeding mother, and my infant will not take a bottle, so he is not able to be left at home or with a sitter. I was obviously distraught at being told that my son could not accompany us. I was directed to a manager who addressed me with no sympathy or genuine concern, simply returning the two movie coupons and sending us on our way with a flippant response that it's simply the policy and he doesn't make the rules. I'll buy that, that he doesn't make the rules; however, what I will not buy is that he doesn't understand that exceptions to that rule would be infants who clearly would not be watching the film and are required to be where the mother is. I told the manager, in no uncertain terms, to retrain their staff so that they don't waste anyone else's time. Now, however, I'm thinking that isn't the true issue here... My infant obviously is too young to watch films, and would be either breastfeeding or sleeping. I've brought him along to several movies, as I have done with each of my other three children when they were breastfeeding and couldn't be away from me. I've never had any incidents, never disturbed others around us, nothing. It is state and federal law that wherever a mother is legally allowed to be, so shall her breastfeeding child be allowed to feed. By not allowing my infant to accompany me, essentially this policy is in violation of breastfeeding laws. It is my understanding that Regal Entertainment Group has put this new policy in place, that children ages 6 and under not be allowed in to R-rated films after they took a poll and found that the majority of adults whom they polled do not think that children should be allowed to watch these films. Now... I wholeheartedly agree that children should not watch inappropriate content, and I obviously did not bring along my children ages 7, 6, and 4. I also do not intend for my 8-month-old to watch these films. I do Not agree with businesses not allowing a breastfeeding mother to bring her infant in to an R-rated movie, and therefore disallowing her to feed her child. You may argue that I could just wait for the film to be released on Blu-ray/DVD/Digital copy and watch it at home, but I would argue that you could just order your favorite meal from your favorite restaurant as takeout and eat it at home. You would be left unsatisfied and the experience would be lackluster. If you should be allowed to have the full experience of eating your favorite meal at your favorite restaurant, and be allowed to breastfeed your baby there; then I should be allowed to have the full experience of watching an excellent movie in a cinema, and be allowed to breastfeed my baby there. Please consider revising policies to fall in line with State and Federal Breastfeeding Laws. Employees need to be trained to understand these laws, as well. Even if it's not blatant disregard for a law (such as saying outright that breastfeeding isn't allowed in the theater), a policy like this does in fact infringe on the rights of breastfeeding mothers and babies. read more

This establishment is very clean and the staff is very friendly. There are booster seats for the little kids that you set in the movie chairs so that they are able to comfortably watch the movies. The only two reasons I didn't rate this place a 5 star is because of the price and the fact that they only had two people in the ticket office and there was a long line other than that everything else was great. read more

I regularly visit this theater. It's always clean and employees are helpful. I have not had a bad experience until today. For whatever reason our theater had assigned seating. This is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. In a society where safety is always on everyone's minds, the least safest thing is to group everyone together right in the center. There were some people who came early to get a good seat and others walked in mad they were sitting in their spot. I personally saw two arguments happen. This is totally unacceptable. Parking is horrible, food is expensive now we have to be told where to sit. Until Regal fixes this mess I will stay at home.. I will not go back and would not recommend going to anyone, especially if you have kids and may need to adjust your seat to be closer to an exit. read more

I go to this theater a lot. I've probably gone to it a hundred times since I moved to Bend 4 years ago. I always have a good time and I can't think of any time an employee dropped the ball or a movie went out or anything. Last night in particular I want to thank Jordan, who noticed my friends and I having trouble and came over and helped us. He was polite and very helpful, and this is just the type of good vibes I've come to expect from this place. ....Oh and the nice supervisor lady she was good too. Plus, in general, the theater and the floor seem quite clean and civilized. Also the sound system is awesome in every single theater room, the seats are comfortable, and I've never had the screen go blurry or crazy or have the sound or video drop out, or anything like that. read more

Great little theater near the river, restaurants and shopping. Good sized theaters with great seats. Gets a bit packed on the weekend and the parking can be a nightmare so come prepared to circle the lot a few times. read more
