Hayden Homes Amphitheater is a great setting for concerts. The sound is incredible and the background is beautiful. Our daughter and I enjoyed Bailey Zimmerman, and we will be back two more times to enjoy other shows at the Amphitheater. The ONLY reason I do not give Hayden 5 stars was the shocking price of the beverages. $25 each for a can of red wine, (that was chilled ??). $25 for 14 Hands Hot to Trot. a 12 ounce can that is about 1/2 of a bottle that is about $12.00 total?? I did not see the price until the next morning. I have already stated to my wife and daughter that it will be water only for our next trip to Hayden. Yes, we will be back, we just won't spend needlessly. read more

This is a very fun venue! Very clean and everywhere is a good seat! I like standing in the pit and being close to the stage but anywhere is okay. It's very family friendly and the sound system is great!! I highly recommend any concert, it's reasonably priced and lots of fun!! read more

Just went to the Matt Rife comedy show here, which I was highly impressed with the layout and ease of getting around. The staff were amazing, from the 21+ banders to the recycling station person to the pamphlet passer outer people! Driving in and out was much easier than I thought it would be. I would say if you pay for parking, get in early to get a spot to get out faster. Some tips: -Bags need to be 6x9 or less. -But even better, don't bring a bag and you can go thru the no bag line! -Pick up earplugs from lost n found. -Bring an empty plastic bottle and refill at the bottle stations behind the premium seating box. Drinks were gawdly expensive like every event place, $24 for a drink :( I refuse to pay that much. Water it was! The nearest Ampitheater to me is the Ridgefield one, and it's so blah in comparison. One of the best outdoor venues in Oregon. The location along the river in the Old Mill District is beautiful, with great sound, easy sightlines, and a lively crowd. Staff is friendly, parking's manageable if you plan ahead, and it's an easy walk from nearby restaurants and shops. On the downside, drinks are pricey, and food costs feel high for what you get. It can also get hot during afternoon shows since there's not much shade, and if wildfire smoke rolls in, it's up to the act to decide whether a show is canceled -- which makes things feel a little uncertain if you are traveling from out of town. Still, it's a great place to catch live music and one of Bend's best summer experiences. read more

This may be hands-down one of my favorite amphitheaters that I have ever been to anywhere. My husband and I had come up for a long weekend to visit Bend and to see the Caamp concert. Since neither of us had ever been here before, I wasn't sure what to expect in terms of parking and getting in and out of the amphitheater. I purchased with our tickets to the show a parking pass as well as two lawn chair rentals. We probably could've done without the parking pass as it is extremely walkable from the downtown Bend area, but with that being said, I have never gotten into and out of a parking lot at a music event as quickly as I did at this one. As for the chair rentals, they were absolutely essential and made the whole concert experience that much more enjoyable. Despite a thunderstorm that delayed the concert, the show was phenomenal and the venue itself had a very good layout and flow to it. They had a variety of food vendors, but we had eaten prior to the show so we weren't hungry and there were ample vendors selling alcoholic beverages so we never had to wait in line. The porta-potties were pretty clean and the entire experience at this venue from start to finish was incredible. I would definitely come back to a show at this amphitheater. read more

What a fabulous amphitheater! We were in town for a wedding last weekend and found ourselves at Leon Bridges on Sunday night and it was spectacular! The venue is huge with ample grass seating and plenty of walking around area in the back. There was a large variety of vendors and booths to visit and VIP tents as well. We had a fabulous time walking around, listening to Leon and enjoying the outdoors. The amphitheater is right on the river so there were plenty of paddleboarders and kayakers getting a free concert! read more

I feel like I can confidently say that this is one of the absolute best venues I have been to in Oregon, not just because of the amazing views and open seating but also the friendly and helpful staff you encounter at every step of the event process. We recently attended Orville Peck and our group had a mixture of tickets, when we went to buy seats for the lawn for our general admission tickets we were offered an upgrade for a similar price where we would all be together. Not only was the upgrade way closer to the stage than our original plan, but it was also an easy process that we could get done even without our whole group present. Also most of us ate ahead, those who got food said they had a great selection. Highly recommend snagging tickets if you see a band you like coming out to Hayden Homes, can't wait to see who will be in next years line up! read more

What a great little outdoor amphitheater in the heart of beautiful Bend! The dude and I attended the Weezer concert here during a late summer visit. The weather was spectacular and we enjoyed sitting on the grass and taking it all in while waiting for the concert to start. When the show finally began, i was blown away at the great job they did with lighting and the blow-your-eardrums-out sound system. Kinda made me wish I lived in Bend and could go to more concerts here! While a great place to view a show, this place boasts the usual headaches that can come along with such venues: expensive parking (or a longggg walk to the nearest free parking), ridiculously priced alcohol, and a long walk to the port-a-potties. Also, check their bag rules, as they're pretty strict (I found out the hard way). read more

This amphitheater is a very good place to come to for an outside concert when the weather is good. It is located alongside the Deschutes River. There is plenty of parking in the amphitheater lot. There is also plenty of bike parking too. Once inside, there are food stalls to fill any belly, and there is also stadium style seating above the lawn area and stage. read more

Attended 5/29 Backroad Blues Festival. We had assigned seating, so no rush to try and get a lawn spot. Getting thru security was easy and quick, folks were kind and helpful. Several vendor booths. A few food options with moderate lines - I'd recommend eating before showing up. Several times we were asked whether we were drinking - they want to put a wristband on you if so to show you've been checked for age. Alcohol is available, and even have roving sales, which to me is not a good thing. Lots of people clearly inebriated. And annoyingly these drinkers need to make several trips to use restrooms and get more booze during the show. The roving vendors block the view for several minutes while they process sales on finicky wireless devices. The sound system Backroad Blues had was great, lots of punch and volume, so theyre not afraid to crank it up here. But they did have a 10pm curfew; so they had to start the show early, and the sun sets nearly behind the stage, blinding you. Many people were trying to buy sunglasses but none were to be found, and even if you had them, now you cant see the band. And I know Merchandise is not Hayden Homes, but I was very annoyed to have the person selling me a t-shirt spin the checkout screen around looking for a tip (I picked 'no tip'). Cmon. Ambiance is cool here. read more

Hands down, this is my favorite outdoor concert venue. --easy to get to and to leave from (no need to leave early, before the crowd leaves --welcoming staff and security check in--it's almost startling how genuinely welcoming the staff is here. Thank you for this warmth, concert after concert, year after year --easy to maneuver once inside the grounds--including access to venders, bathrooms, merchandise, seats, and spaces to sit and enjoy food and drinks --no trip hazards that I can find. This can be a nice venue to watch a concert, but you gotta watch out towards the end of summer. It's not the venues fault, but I went to a concert last night and it was a little too smoky for me to stay. I stayed for the opening act and then had to leave. This used to be a really great venue until they got all whacked out on pricing. Concerts here have gotten so expensive and the food carts are expensive too. You used to be able to bring in a short beach chair, now you have to rent one. And they are still sticking with Porta Potty's, which are relatively kept clean, but can we get permanent washing facilities at least? read more

I really like the physical layout but you need to pick your spot very carefully. My wife and I spent a lot of money for seats in the 2nd row. The seats in the 1st row are allowed to stand up at the railing and generally do. The stage should be about 10 or 15 feet higher since the seats rise only a little as you go back. I am sure there is a seating strategy to deal with this but I don't know what it is. I stood the whole time and still could not see much. And they did not have the video turned on so that didn't help. read more

Incredible venue with a wonderful and hard-working staff. Everyone from the people directing traffic and parking to those at the food/drink booths, security and those in charge of landscaping. We just saw All That Remains/Mudvayne/Megadeth and it was probably the best concert-going experiences of my life. I barely waited at all in any line, wether that be for merchandise, drinks or to use the bathrooms. The entire premises were clean,easy to navigate, safe and comfortable, not a bad seat in the house. * as for paying the food/drink vendors just make sure you check before you accept the amount because they have their systems set to apply an automatic 18% grat. You have to manually click on "no tip" or on a different amount to tip. read more

I attended a show this summer after not being at the amphitheater for years. It's so beautiful and has become a lot more professional and buttoned up over the years. They have a lot more rules now about seating and blankets so make sure to look on their website. Parking was also a bit confusing for me as we ended up parking on a street much further away when apparently there was free parking behind the venue? That didn't seem very clear. Nonetheless, the setting is beautiful and the sound quality is great. Staff are friendly and the prices are typical event prices. read more

We went here for a Beck concert. I wasn't sure how it would go given the reviews. I don't understand the role of no chairs allowed or even blankets. They charge $10 a chair and there were plenty there. Seemed like a way to make money. Aside from that it was ok. I can't say enough how great this huge outdoor music venue is. It's the best. There is nothing like enjoying live music outside under the stars. Lots of food options available too. Staff are friendly and seem to love the shows as much as the guests. There is not a bad seat in the whole place!!! We've sat in the seats up front and on rented chairs in the very back of the grass. Very negative experience. Had two tickets to a concert. Bought the tickets and payed processing fees. Arrived before the show and then we were not allowed it because our tickets "didn't work".... Nobody helped us solve this problem... We were then told to buy new ticket at the ticket booth. When we asked the ticket booth if we could buy new tickets the woman in the booth proceeded to literally YELL at us and say she was done selling tickets for the night. Very disappointing. Rude staff and a big bummer of a night. Have had good times here before but not happy after tonight. Next time try to F***ing help us out instead of get mad at us read more

I've been going to shows here since I was a kid. Overall I've always had a very good experience in the past. The staff is extremely friendly and definitely the highlight of attending a concert at the amphitheater. They go out of their way to be kind and see if you need assistance when walking around. The venue also have refillable water stations if you bring your own bottle. That being said, recently they've made some changes that didn't sit well with me. No blankets can be brought in, no personal chairs--you have to rent their rickety ones. This had never been a problem in the past, but they have to make that easy $$ I guess and people did shell out for it. It also smelled so strongly of marijuana I had to leave my spot near the stage and go to the back because it was literally being blown in my face, and it was almost impossible to fight through that crowd which had blocked ever paved walkway. For people needing this paths for ADA access it would have been impossible. Honestly while I have fond memories at Bend I'll probably just drive the little extra time it takes to get to Edgefield if they have the same shows because it's a much less stressful experience. read more

Over sold venue. Lies about the amount of chairs available saying they were out but still providing them to people for cash under the table. I brought my own chairs but was told I couldn't bring them in. Ran the sprinklers for hours before the show so the ground was soaking wet. Sound was terrible the crew was adjusting it the whole time and never really got it right. 300 people on staff everywhere but still marijuana blowing in your face and over serving. I haven't even gone to a show yet but I'm gonna post a review about procedures. I have mobile tickets for Bob Dylan on Monday evening. Now I'm not the most tech savvy guy but if my tickets are on my mobile phone but mobile phones aren't allowed and I'm not allowed to print my tickets how does this all work? If I place my phone in some container after entry then go to my seat and someone else is sitting in it how do we settle the mix up? Is the container the phone is in my property or someone else's property? If I accidentally leave the venue with the container how do I get my phone out? I'm gonna go out on a limb here and suggest the producer is a string short on their guitar and didn't think this through. On another note it's forecast to be 98 degrees does the venue provide free drinking water and will I be allowed to bring a refillable container? read more

This is a pretty cool place to watch a sow, though not much shade or stadium style seating. Be prepared for the weather no matter what time of year, enjoy the scenery and try not to drink too many of the Bend microbrews! :) read more

I have had mostly good experiences when the previous sponsor was Les Schwab. True, seating arrangements could be better, but that could be said for just about any outdoor venue. But one of the things I like to do, is sit at home at my desktop and cruise the venue web site for information, merchandise, and buy tickets. The Les Schwab site was great for that: easy to find info, tickets, etc. Not so on the new web site of Hayden Homes (bendconcerts.com). The web site displays just fine on mobile apps, but on desktops, more than half of the screen is consumed with the new logo and it just stays there! Desktop users are relegated to a small (half the screen), scrollable area at the bottom of the screen. The logo area in the image attached never goes away, no matter where you are on the website. I realize mobile apps are in great use today (55%), but to alienate the desktop audience with a "forever" logo that makes the web site almost useless to the 42% of users who own desktops. Not a good business practice and a horrible web design. I would hope they fix this soon. All in all, though, I look forward hopefully to a great 2022 concert season. read more

i have been to 4 shows this year and going to my 5th tonight. The line to get in moves along quickly. The staff checking bags and tickets is efficient and friendly. The only problem I have seen is people that are not real tech savvy with their phones, but the staff always tries to help. Or the person trying to sneak something in. Good selection of food and drinks. I get the chair rental thing. In previous years, you would see people complaining about, "well you let his chair in why not mine". Rent a chair, you don't have to carry it from your car, they are comfortable, and not much money. The sun can be scorching, but is usually behind the trees about 730 or so. The only complaint I have is WINE IN A CAN. You can get a drink in a cup, why not wine? Lastly, to all those complaining about everything, parking is free and you are by one of the most beautiful places around. Bend, OR read more

I have two big complaints with this venue. First is the fact that they don't have permanent restroom facilities, just a big row of nasty porta-potties. The second complaint concerns venue greed. As of this year you are no longer allowed to bring your own lawn chair to shows. If you want to sit in a seat, you are forced to rent one from the venue for $10 or park your butt on the astro turf. For the time being you are still allowed to bring a towel to sit on, but that will probably change too as they do all they can to entice (force) you to rent a chair from them. read more

Saw Lord Huron here. The Good: Great show and very friendly staff. The Bad: The stage sits so low despite the towering structure above it. Why they didn't think to use all that wasted space above to raise the stage high enough that it's not hidden by the sound tent and the crowd seems dumb. Combine that with the non-existent slope of the "theater" seating area and it really doesn't provide good viewing at all. Also, what's with people that go to a concert and then just sit and talk the WHOLE time? They don't even listen to the music or watch the act. "Hey wanna pay money to go sit on the grass and try to talk over the live music and then tell your friends you went to see Lord Huron and they were really great (maybe?, I dunno, I didn't listen or watch)." read more

Concert was outstanding. John Waite, Styx, and Foreigner put on a fantastic show. Almost everything about the venue was incredible. I say "Almost" because I feel I need to warn folks about the food and drink vendors. After returning home we looked at our credit card bill for the night. One of the vendors charged us over $50 for one of the food/drink items. Not one thing we ordered that night was even close to $50. I realize it is my job to read the bottom line before hitting the pay button, but this was blatant. So, to anyone considering buying tickets to an event here, double check the bottom line before tapping that pay button or you might get a nice surprise like we did. read more
