They have updated it a bit to make it friendly for folks with mobility issues. They have two theaters and we went to see the latest cartoon in the lower theater. It looks like they may still have the same seating. I couldn't really tell as it was dark. The pricing was decent about $9 for an adult. You really aren't going to get much cheaper than that nowadays. I love it and glad they reopened it in 2007. I will definitely return again.

The first time we ever went there we were mocked for not knowing how it worked. We were there for my son's 6th birthday, but luckily kids are oblivious to that. We tried again and had a much better experience checking in as it was with a different gentleman, but unfortunately, we had a negative experience leaving. Our child accidentally spilled some food and we apologized to a different guy as we were leaving and he rolled his eyes at us and said "Jesus." We felt awful. I work with the public and if I spoke to someone like that, I would be fired. Anyway- I want to love it, and the building was beautiful and felt clean, but we can't justify going back.

I wish I could give this place 3.5 stars because that's really what my rating is, but I'll give it…read morea slight bump up since 3 seems unfair for what is overall a really nice venue. There is a lot to like about this place! First, we had great interactions with the staff--everyone from security to merch vendors to bartenders. Getting in was a breeze, probably one of the fastest entries I've experienced. I was a little taken aback by the prices of food and beverage here, because I naively assumed it would be cheaper than Portland. Ended up being more expensive than some music venues we frequent here. This is not the venue's fault, but the majority of the people attending the show we went to love to stay seated. It was strange to be (literally) one of the only handful of people who stood through the set and actually danced/swayed to the music. It honestly put a bit of a damper on the show because the energy of the crowd was so...meh. I'm not sure if this a regional thing or not, but it's something to be aware of if you prefer hype crowds for shows. This venue has a great view of the river. In fact, you'll likely see people in kayaks and boats floating past during the show. It would be great to experience a show that way sometime. Overall, this would be a great venue to see a more laid back show!

Our daughter and I enjoyed Bailey Zimmerman, and we will be back two more times to enjoy other shows at the Amphitheater. The ONLY reason I do not give Hayden 5 stars was the shocking price of the beverages. $25 each for a can of red wine, (that was chilled ??). $25 for 14 Hands Hot to Trot. a 12 ounce can that is about 1/2 of a bottle that is about $12.00 total?? I did not see the price until the next morning. I have already stated to my wife and daughter that it will be water only for our next trip to Hayden. Yes, we will be back, we just won't spend needlessly.

Admission to the festival is $10 (for the day or for the weekend) and camping is $10 total for Friday and Saturday nights. It's my favourite BG festival - good groups (Lee Highway has headlined there each time I've been there. This year (2010) they also featured Misty Mamas, Quincy Street, Bluestone County, LeRoy Newport, Bitterbrush, and a number of other groups. The event is well-run - they keep on schedule and when the bands on the main stage are setting up and breaking down, local groups play short sets on the side stage. Some of these localmusicians are very good too; overall there's very little music I wouldn't want to listen to - not true of many festivals... There's food vendors here - four or five of them, good food, but if one doesn't want to eat here, it's not far to drive into Bend which has a plethora of restaurants. Camping is in a field and there's plenty of room for RV's (no hookups); for tent campers there's an nice area among the junipers. Lots of jamming goes on after the last set is done on stage - it's nice to drift off to sleep with the sound of distant banjos and mandolins in one's ears.

TWB stands for Theatre with (Beer &/or Balls) according to the header on their Mission Statement…read more That alone might suggest what you're in for if you attend a TWB production! Our first experience with TWB was last night when we attended a performance of their production of the Louis LaRusso play "Lamppost Reunion". We were fans of the skill of the acting company, a really talented group of local men (in this case, an all male cast) and well staged and directed for this single set, three act play. We think the actors were, frankly, better than the material provided through the play's script. But we were glad to have discovered TWB and wanted to pass along the "heads up" to others. (In particular since one of the talented actors who spoke with us after the performance urged us and the friends we were with to "tell your friends". Yelp friends first! :-) ) You can find more information about the run of Lamppost Reunion at the TWB Productions web site as well as more about the troupe and their mission of "cultivating a new audience" for live theater performance. Note that the theme of the current play is adult and the Hoboken Bar circa 1950 something (?) setting has language that some may find off putting. Frankly, we've long been live theater fans from our days in NY and SF and all stops in between. So no need to convince us of the fun of live theater. But had we known more about the play we probably would not have attended this production. And that would have been too bad as we enjoyed seeing these good actors at their craft. As for the current play, Lamppost Reunion, we're not prudes, one Brooklyn NY born and raised and both with experience living in NJ :-), but two plus hours of a script heavy on scatological references, jokes about penis size and the f-word isn't our thing. No doubt a bunch of drunk men at a Hoboken bar may have used all of those things in a two hour discourse to reslolve long standing interpersonal issues, but we wouldn't have wanted to sit through it in the bar either. Whether or not their next production choice will fit better with our preferences for attending we don't know. In the meantime, if the language and theme of the play aren't barriers for you...this is a fun and talented group of actors to watch. The current production is on a schedule of two nights a week and staged at the McMenamin's St. Francis school in one of the rooms next to the theater there. Open for seating an hour before "curtain", food and beverages are available before and during the production. Although one eats the food at McMenamin's at their own peril! We had happy hour dinner elsewhere before the show and beverages during. And it's worth noting that the McMenamins servers were VERY professional and did a great job of staying "under the radar" so as not to interfere with viewing the play even as they served during it.
