This is where we recently saw a movie on a big screen for the first time since before the pandemic, so that in itself was kinda exciting. This location in Clifton Park is perhaps less busy than the one in Albany, and that was another draw for me. For our group of three, I saw during the week that it was barely getting any pre-booking, so decided to get tickets at the window. It turns out there's no 'window' that I know it, since ticket purchase is via self-service kiosks only. For better or worse, this was easy to use and an efficient way to make this simple transaction. All in all we were impressed with the facility: clean, spacious, and no distracting defects with the screen, lighting, or the projector. We all enjoyed ourselves, and I would definitely consider going back. read more

Most convenient and nearest theater to where I live. They have some great deals at $6.50 on Tuesdays amd try to take my son based on our convenience. The cinema is withing the Clifton Parck Center mall so feel free to walk around and get some shopping done. The seating is comfortable but a little behind cinema theaters that I have visited and therfore my rating of 4. Watch out for some select summer movies at $2. read more

Your standard movie theater. Tickets were $16 for a regular admission, and snacks were priced just as high. Online ordering for tickets was easy, but checking in at the concession stand wasn't obvious and we spent several minutes trying to figure out what to do. When I asked for a souvenir paper ticket, they had trouble printing it and finally I got a flimsy receipt printed out of the cash register. The place was clean, though the theater itself was really LOUD (maybe I am just getting old). This is a decent choice for movies, and I doubt that there is much better in the area. read more

There's the same we're leaving for vacation tomorrow. Kids wanted to go out for some movies. I usually don't do that type of thing but I gave in and here we are. Popcorn was delicious salty buttery candy was on point selection was good, huge sodas, huge slushy sodas, and they let you buy beers and bring them in which was awesome They also have a pretty good selection of beers, but they let you bring it. The seats were super comfortable and I almost fell asleep at one point. Great picture great great the food was great. The kids work in the front counter were super friendly. Keep it up Reale. My favorite theater. Nice people and nice customers. Clean restrooms. I go all the time.

Badly run. Concession stand is slow and people are rude. One of them was transphobic and started screaming at me "I'm not going out with you...." as if I had ever asked. Just get my popcorn I paid for instead of standing there with a blank expression. Also popcorn is $12 for a large, their credit card terminals are about 20 years old and it's in a dead mall for the most part. Not a horrible mall but one that's clearly going through issues. Some nights they just put a sign up saying "scan your ticket at the kiosk" but the kiosk doesn't work and they don't make it clear which it should be. Technically I bet you could just cancel the tickets and walk in. They don't seem to care. I wouldn't recommend doing that but maybe if people did, they'd have better staff. Either way, I just stopped buying food at the concession stand because it's too expensive and just half assed put together. I've even been late to a showing once because it took 40 minutes to get from the end of the line to the front. Sometimes they'll just stand there and talk chit chat with customers instead of pushing things along. read more

Pretty good theater here...some of the screens are quite large. They are stadium style, but don't have reclining seats. Seats are made from nawgahide (spelling? lol), not cloth. Sound systems kick out the jams just fine. Typical concessions and offerings. Nothing out of the ordinary. Prices are rapey...of course...just like all money grabbin' theaters. Bathrooms are large and clean. Lines to buy tix here can get long, so that's always a bummer, but whatever, you know, budget a little extra time and get there early. read more

Very disappointed tonight. The toilets in the ladies room were disgusting. Not just one, but multiple toilets. Could barely hear the dialog in the Top Gun movie. Going to find a different cinema to go to. read more

Most chain theaters are pretty much the same, so I'm not going to review the quality of the venue. However, twice in the past few months I've screwed up buying tickets online (once I picked the wrong date, and once the wrong theater!), and both times I didn't realize my mistake until I tried to check in. In both cases, the manager in charge immediately issued me free tickets for the proper show. In 2018, buying tickets online shouldn't be that difficult, and he could have easily told me "tough luck," but there was never any hesitation on his part. I appreciate that level of service, even when I probably didn't deserve it. read more

I went to see "No time to die" at Regal cinemas this weekend with the family. I started with a set of closed captioning glasses and they did not display the subtitles just "CC on #6". Went to the front desk, the manager switched to a different pair and still could not get the closed captioning to work. Lastly tried the headphones and every time I would move it was static. Unfortunately I was not able to enjoy the movie with out the Closed Captioning or good audio. I live almost an hour away to go enjoy a movie. The only good thing is eventually the movie is going to be on streaming like most movies and I'll have to watch it again to actually enjoy it. Third movie this has occurred with the same theater, Angel has fallen and The Meg, and now No time to die. Unfortunately the theater closest to me only has the headphones for hearing impaired so I travel to go see a movie with CC. read more

As far as Regals go this one is pretty good. The seats are nice and comfortable. Also, the theater is clean and the employees are friendly for the most part. The theaters here are a bit smaller than other Regals, but that does mean less people. The sound of the theaters are clear and loud which is a plus. The biggest problem with this theater is a lot of high school kids go here and they are loud, obnoxious, and rude. It's best to come here on a weekday to avoid them. In the final analysis, the Clifton Park Regal is a good movie theater, but it can overrun by high school kids. read more

This movie theather was clean and seating seemed to be in the middle of upgrading. When the previews started the top half of the screen was not in focus at all there was also something wrong with the screen some type of rip or mark that remained in ever scene.As the movie continued the picture was pulsing and went in and out of focus at no time did the quality even come close to what you would expect. I had free passes but it was still tough not to leave and I did but with a headache and this review. read more

Regal - Cinema Near Me - Clifton Park, New York

By far, the nicest movie theater in the capital district. It is on par with the larger ones (Crossgates and Colonie), but much less crowded. The theater is new, so with that comes updated seating, and nice clean restroom facilities. The employees that I've interacted with have all been friendly. Went to see Star Wars on opening day, and waited in a small line, but nothing like the ones I was seeing Crossgates and Colonie center. Definitely a well kept secret, and hope more don't realize it! read more

These theaters are now completely re-done and open. The screens are massive and the stadium seating is comfortable and allows for great views from every seat. The movie wasn't even crowded which I was surprised at because this was the opening weekend and they were giving out a free small popcorn and small drink with every admission. The only reason I didn't give more stars is because we arrived about 30 mins before the movie was gonna start and they wouldn't let us in the theater until 5 mins before showtime because they were still cleaning it. This sounds like poor management so hopefully they get everything sorted out in the future. They also have the only RPX screen in the area from here to Manhattan but it costs $4.50 more. read more

A very nice theater. Definitely on par with Colonie Center's. They have the stadium seating, comfy chairs with the ability to lean back a bit, and ample leg room. For some reason I didn't think the sound quality was fantastic, but maybe it wasn't turned up very high... or maybe it was just the movie I saw. But the theater I was in on a Saturday night had only about 20 patrons total, which meant everybody had a good seat and we were able to avoid sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers/ people constantly coming in and out/ rowdy kids throwing things... etc. Also worth noting is their annoying digital menu at the snack bar. The menu itself periodically disappears to display full-screen advertisements, so making your selections could take longer than it should. And yes, the tickets and snacks are absurdly expensive. No surprises with that. read more

Yes, it's expensive. I don't expect to be able to go to the movies with my husband for less than $25 nowadays ... it's annoying, but that's how it is. That being said, this is probably one of the best movie theaters I've ever been to. The screen and theater were huge, and the seats very comfortable. The entire establishment (theater, lobby, restrooms) were all impeccably clean. To top it all off, the concession stand had both root beer (my favorite) and Cherry Coke (my husband's favorite). It's not very often that we are both able to get our preferred soft drinks. This was really a five star cinema experience for me. read more

Last night, my boyfriend and I went to see The Conjuring here. It was in the RPX theater, and was our first time checking that out. The digital sound and movie quality was exceptional. I loved the comfortable seats and it is really nice to have a theater closer than Albany that has the super nice seats and stadium seating arrangement. Such a better movie experience. I am only taking off one star because the cost is a bit excessive and concessions are ridiculously overpriced as usual. It is also a bummer that they do not offer matinee pricing during the day anymore. read more

I am at this theater almost weekly. My latest trip (Monday 4/6) was to see Furious 7. The theater was just as good as always. Lines are never too insane, especially on a Monday. I have never had issue with any staff member and the quality of the theater is top notch. Being the second newest theater, and the newest Regal, it should be nice. A lot of times the screenings are clearly not digital but Furious 7 and all the trailers was. The comfortable seats, adequate legroom, and generally quieter older crowd Clifton Park Regal seems to attract made for a pleasant screening. The surround sound was as good as it always should be and the picture quality was outstanding. Other theaters in the area, even the newer Criterion in Saratoga Springs often have keystoning, focus, or picture size issues. I never had this problem with Clifton Park Regal. I am only hesitant to recommend this theater because for anything other than major installments in franchises like The Avengers and Harry Potter it seems like something of a secret since the crowds never get as obnoxious as Colonie or Crossgates. Regal as a chain also has a good rewards program. It costs nothing to sign up for, every so often you get free concessions or even a movie ticket. The usual complaints about ticket prices and concessions are irrelevant since they are common place in every theater chain in existence at this point. See a matinee and skip the food to save some money. read more

As a local movie theatre this is place is adequate. I would like it better if it had an IMAX theatre (RPX isn't as good) and it would also be nice if there was a smaller theatre for more niche-oriented movies, but it's modern and comfortable. If the movie you want to see is playing near you at a convenient time, it will usually be the best choice. read more

This is by far the best Cinema in the area. Clean, nice comfortable seats, and great video and sound. If I'm going to see a movie, this is where I go. This is actually one of the furthest Cinemas away from me, but it's totally worth the drive. I've gotten a popcorn and soda a few times, and they are always delicious. A very nice theatre. The seats are comfortable, and I will never have an issue seeing over the person in front of me. (This has even been a problem in the past with stadium seating.). Concessions are insanely overpriced, and they don't over matinee prices at 2 pm on a weekday, which is jerky of them.... But I'm told no one does that anymore. I haven't made it to a weekday matinee in years. I like that, when you buy a ticket at the kiosks, it tells you what time the show will end. Don't show up too early, because there is nothing to do while you wait. On the other hand, no one is at the mall, so parking is usually fairly easy. read more

Really expected more of a theater only a couple years old. The projectors aren't as strong as many I've seen, so I feel like it's still 1999 inside. The RPX definitely pales to others- like Destiny in Syracuse, for example- of similar age. And perhaps my ticket charge could go towards a broom or a vacuum. Staff is very nice, efficient and knows their business, which is why I'm giving two stars. If not, I would have given only one. read more

Theater is very nice, but the Regal in Aviation Mall in Queensbury is better. They updated their seating in Queensbury, nice power recliners. Also, I find the popcorn in Clifton Park is not as good. First time I went the popcorn tasted stale, and it has a lot of small kernels! Other than that it's fine as theaters go. read more

Best Regal in the capital district. WHOA the screens are big, I can't tell if they are bigger then normal or if the rooms are just laid out better then in clifton park and cross gates. The picture though is incredibly crisp. When I went to see a movie here for the first time I kept going "omg its so big, its so big, everything is so big" I couldn't get over the screen. It was amazing. I'm impressed with what they did with this, considering it was such a hole before. I'm also excited that you no longer have to leave out of sketchy back door exits like in the old days. read more

The biggest complaint I have with this theater is the patrons. Despite the large theaters, everyone seems to sit on top of each other.

This theater is in a convenient location but it's much better to just take the trip down to Colonie center. For big movie releases this theater can't manage. For all days to newly only take printed "e-tickets" they chose the avengers release date. So I drove back home after no one would print it at the theater just to come back and be told the following movie was sold out and a line for the evening movie had started. On my way out a group of ppl couldn't see the film after waitin two hours and we're told they should have just stayed in line... which wasn't formed at all the whole time they were waiting. Check out Safe House last night.... to my surprise it wasn't overly packed... Seating was phenomenal and the theaters were clean and overall just a great movie experience.... Without having to go as far as Crossgates Mall or Colonie Center... 3D screens and great sound.... I will be attending many more times.... read more

Hmmm nice new seats and screens but the movie was stuck and it took 10 minutes for one of us lucky movie goers to realize it. Nine minutes for the reboot (go digital technology) and we were on our way. If it weren't for the prices and the smell they would get 5stars for service. This is the only place from now on I will go to to watch a movie. The screens are huge, the sound is incredible, and the chairs are huge. Not to mention they rock back and forth. There is plenty of leg room for you to sit comfortably throughout the movie without cramping up. The price for a ticket is cheaper compared to Colonie center regal cinema too. I am glad that I don't' have to venture to colonie center anymore...thank you Clifton Park for building a great theater! read more

The movie theater is incredibly nice, and they always keep it really clean!! It's one of the only decent things in the Clifton Park mall, and it's always great when you need something to do. The only bad thing is the over priced candy. Other than that the place is great!! read more

This place was really cool when they updated everything a few years ago. Now it is just like a normal regal. They have stadium seating. Sometimes they don't have the ticket booth open outside in the food court to you have to go inside to the costumer service desk. I would just order tickets online because it saves time and you don't have to wait in line. read more

Disappointed! Checked Fandango for movie times, ARRIVAL was showing at 8:10 PM according to the site. I had been told previously at this theater not to rely on the newspaper for times, "always check Fandango" I was told. Got to the theater tonight to buy tickets for ARRIVAL only to be told that it had been moved to 11:00 PM due to popularity of the new STAR WARS movie. So, here is the deal. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I go to matinee movies regularly as they are a little cheaper. I recently arrived at the movie theater only to discover the movie I came to see, The Revenant, was only available in RPX, which means an additional charge of $5.00 per ticket! On line, the movie was advertised as being a standard movie which would mean you would pay the regular matinee price. My friend and I were taken by surprise and had to pay the additional $5.00 per ticket. i explained to the clerk what it was advertised at and she stated we would have to pay the RPX price, it is not their fault it was advertised incorrectly. When I got home I contacted the movie manager who told me the same thing. He stated that if I looked the movie up on Google, they are not responsible for inaccurate information. He refused to make it right, which I feel is a very poor response to a loyal customer. Beware of looking up movie times on Google, as Regal will not take responsibility, even if it was advertised wrongly. It cost me $14.50 to see a matinee, disgraceful. Not to mention the difference between standard and RPX is so subtle, it is not worth the extra money. read more
