We hold a silver membership with Chuck E Cheese for the Latham location and frequently attend their location. Our experiences are always excellent with the 100% of the employees and 99% of the guests! We love their adventure area - it's a great balance between the arcade games and the dance floor. The adventure center consists of 6 trampolines and a roped and slide course (similar to a mini ninja course). Their pizza is really delicious. It's usually chewy with just the right crisp and they have a sauce they put on the crust that's very appealing. One thing to note, depending on the cook, you'll either have thin crust or well risen crust. Just depends. I've accepted no consistency in the crust department except for the chewy with a good crisp bottom. Their tables are almost always cleaned up and their salad bar, while simple, is extremely yum and is a great healthy option. I will say, the salad bar closed about an hour before the business, so be mindful of the employees daily duties for closing. Arcade games are almost always in service and it's nice that everything is priced the same "one swipe"! It makes it simple for the kiddos. It appears the biggest complaint here is the staff. I just saw a video of a staff member chasing an unhoused person who was sheltering near the covered entrance from the falling snow. I understand homeless people can scare some customers away. However, instead of just asking the person to leave, the staff member had a bucket of water that he threw at person as he was leaving. That is assault. Such cruelty is needless. This is not the type of behavior to which children should be exposed. The homeless person was someone's child. Many of our veterans are homeless. This person did appear to pose any threat, but clearly the staff member was dangerous. Cruelty is a malignancy and is not family friendly. read more

Oh Yeah! I have been to some cruddy Chuck E Cheese's in my time. But this is not one of them. This one rocks. Would have been 5* if it had a larger play space and louder anamatronic stage-show. Yes, I said louder. This one is clean, and well lit. Most of the games/rides/amusements work. And even the big games that move, which cost $.50-$1.00 at crossgates are just one token. With coupons, that you can print from chuckecheese.com you can get those tokens for pennies on the dollar. The pizza wasn't nearly as bad as I was expecting. The crust was more like oily, cheap, thin focaccia than cardboard. And the cheese was redolent of that salty, oily stuff they use at pizza hut. True, it has a strange texture, but it's tasty (which is a lot more i can say about some pizza in the cap region). So it's loud and obnoxious. Well... so are your kids. And even though you'll leave with a headache, especially if you indulge in some cheap beer, it's a good place to let your kids run around without having to pay by the hour. When I was a kid I would have my birthday party at Chuck E Cheese every year until I was probably about 14. That being said, this new version doesn't come close to comparing to the old Northway Mall location. Its small and crowded and the pizza is the equivalent of frozen pizza. Maybe I didn't know any better as a kid but I remember the pizza always being great back then. They do still have some positives though. Its free to get in. The games are all one token each. And your kids get run around and scream as much as they want and no one cares! read more

So if I have to explain Chuck E. Cheese, it's going to be a long review, since I assume you have just moved here from Mars. Thus this is a review of Chuck E. Cheese compared to other Charles Frommage franchises, since you're either going to go or not go depending on how far your resistance has been worn down by whatever advertising or birthday-party-related misfortune brought your children to the point of demanding a visit. The food is always the same at Chaz Milkproducts, which is to say reheated below average pizza and the like. I always go in thinking it won't be as bad as I remembered it, and I'm always wrong. It's always worse. The only differentiators are (1) personnel and (2) relative grime/wear of the place (3) upkeep of the arcade games, all vis a via the other Carlos Quesos in the world. (1) Personnel. We had to wait nearly 10 minutes for entry because the person working the "child safety" stamping system at the door was the same one working the food orders and ticket/coupon redemption, and was equally slow about all the various duties she was assigned to. On the way out, we waited a bit for them to show up to check our invisible hand stamps before departing, but on one seemed to even notice, and with bedtime beckoning, I just decided to go straight through without having them verify the two kids were the same ones I brought with me. I hope I got the right ones. (2) Grime/wear: not so bad here. I found hardly anything gross here, which is saying something in comparison to the sordid Claus Kase we used to go to when we lived elsewhere. (3) The machines were in pretty good shape; only a couple out of order. 1/3 are pure gambling games, 1/3 traditional video games that may or may not spew tickets, 1/3 old school arcade like skee ball or shooting baskets and the like. I will remind you if you're going to go to go to the website first and print out coupons, since you save about 10% on tokens that way. Like a fool I didn't, but then again I skipped one wretched wait in line. I think I may have come out ahead in the end, as the party in front of us when we ordered food had their 100 tokens for the price of 90 counted out to them...one...at...a...t...i....m....e, Finally, I note MOST IMPORTANTLY (4) this location DOES have beer, some horrible Americanwatery beer, but beer nevertheless. So if you can persuade your spouse or another adult caretaker to be the designated driver, you can drink quickly before the life-sized non-animatronic Chuck E. Cheese comes out, and maybe it will all end up being a blur. Your kids will have fun no matter what, and you have already been whined into taking them there, so why have you read this far in the review? Oh, right, to confirm this is one of the locations that DOES HAVE BEER! Yay. read more

I must say I have not been to a Chuck E Cheese in a very long time, but it was great! The staff was very sweet and they were constantly cleaning the games, which I definitely appreciated being surrounded by so many kids! I thought it was funny they served beer and wine, and if my nieces birthday party wasn't at 11 am I definitely would have taken advantage of it :) I wound up conquering the Ferris Wheel machine and walking away with 1000+ tickets which thrilled the birthday girl! I love taking my son here and we have a very good time. The only downfall is that they don't provide a smoking designated area for smokers. As a non smoker I don't like the smoke being around my personal space especially my son's. People just stand right by the entrance smoking. Fast Forward 25 years and Chuck E Cheese does not hold up the test of time... First off the pizza and the "Salad Bad" (laughable) looked like shit... The salad bar made the golden coral salad bar look like 5 star restaurant... All the little kid stuff consisted of 7 quarter machine cars that move... All the other games are games Dave and Busters got rid of... Plus there is no little kid play ground except some tunnel that goes up... Not really got for little ones... 4 / under... Not to mention...not all... but most of the people there were total shit... Letting the older kids run wild... Fucking being all reckless with the shit... and no one watching the younger ones... I'm not from the Albany area. We can up here for a doctor appointment for my kids. The place was not easy to find using a gps. We got the lunch buffet the pizza tasted. They "buffet" had 3 types of pizza with salad and dessert pizza. Wasn't pleased won't come back for food. Rides are hard to figure out. read more

Staff seemed inexperienced and not helpful. The line to buy food and drinks took over 40 minutes to stand in. They were assigning people seats which is new. They put 11 people in one booth. When we asked if we could have another booth, we were told no. We then spoke to the manager who fixed the issue. The bathrooms were very dirty. There was no toilet paper, the trash was over flowing and there was feces on the floor. They were understaffed, the place seemed cramped and the prices were very high for the quality of food. We had a wonderful experience this Saturday celebrating our son's 4th birthday. We had mostly adults in our party and the staff was very accommodating and let us order most of our food right on the spot instead of pre-odering. Our party host, Nick, was really sweet and friendly and also very attentive. The manager, Destiny, was also wonderful and checked in with us several times to make sure everyone was happy and asked if we needed anything. Everyone at the party had a great time, food and drink selection was good, and everyone left happy. Chuck E. Diseases (a friend gave it that name) used to be a great place to take the kids. It's gone down hill and the cleanliness of this place is terrible. I wouldn't go here without a big bottle of hand santizer. The food is terrible, but the kids loved the games. I think every parent must take their child here, thankfully we've outgrown this place. Be prepared to spend a lot of money so your child can earn a toy you could have bought at the dollar store! If they offered better food and beverages maybe parents would stay longer (and spend more money). read more

i know. everyone knows. we all were there as kids and loved it. those mechanized dancing figures were cool (not creepy as they are to me now) and when the big mouse himself came out it was so important to get up there and have him pat you on the head. and the games!!!!! who can resist skeeball?? how freakin exciting was it when you got a 50? and then the unending tickets (5 at most) pouring out of the machine? the allure diminishes as you age i am sorry to say. but the good news is that they have cheap beer and wine so you can drown your sorrows while the kids run around screaming and come back for more bites of the cheese and sauce covered cardboard. actually that doesn't really work - even if i were inclined to drink and drive and endanger my daughter's life, the cheap wine and beer reminds you why it is cheap in the first place and you don't really feel like going back for seconds. but hey! they have a salad bar. that part is good. and after you get over the grouchy 'crap. i hate screaming kids' part, you revert back to your childhood and get up there and play those games and climb in the ball pit (ignoring that suspicious moisture you feel) and maybe even climb up in the habit-trail for kids (praying that your adult weight doesn't prove too much for the structure) and wave at all of the sane adults below. after all of this fun and adventure, the pizza is even tolerable. really this is a great place to go with kids (but get ready to unload tons of dough on coins for the games and such so that the kids can buy junky toys and candy from the counter that they forget about as soon as they get in the car...) and the bland food is the price you pay for happy chilluns. read more

I haven't been to a Chucky Cheese in about two decades, for my younger brother's tenth birthday. I remember a ball pit and whack-a-mole and Chucky wandering. Apparently these days it's all, about overpriced games scheduled Chucky appearances. My daughter enjoyed herself, she's 6. The lines were long for the rides and there was a zillion people there. My fault for going at 1pm the day after the holiday, to be honest. The prizes for anything below the 600 level are cheap dollar store breakables at best, even above that mark they are not much. My daughter is something of a ringer at the games with an unerring knack for hitting bonuses and she was unimpressed with the selection. It was a an okay experience at best. I feel funny reviewing s business that I have been to a million times and used to work in one a long time ago, however I wanted to after our visit today. Our granddaughter was celebrating her 5th birthday today and was very excited. Shortly after the start of her party I was asked if I smelt anything in the restaurant, I did not but my nose is awful. A short time later we were told that due to the complaint of a gas smell and the staff not being able to determine what the smell was the business was going to be evacuated . Fire trucks, police car, national grid supervisor all responded to the building. CEC staff stayed out with the families trying to entertain the kids in what they hoped would be a short visit outside.LFD was very efficient in checking the building including the roof, all was well and they allowed the kids back into the bldg. even though the staff was also outside in the cold the whole time, they welcomed the guests back in and worked very hard to get the parties back on track. Food, drinks and birthday celebrations were on the way very quickly after a delay of more than an hour and it almost being time for new parties to arrive. read more

Came on a weekend with grandkids they had à blast the pizza was really good and a good seize. I love the fact that you get à coin card now inside of tokens you can, refill your drinks when ever you want and didnt think the prices werent bad. An if there was a problem with a game safe came an fixed it. My only wish was the photo booth was bigger so we could have all fitted in or. Chuck E Cheese is about a 45 minute ride for us, but worth the trip every once and a while. My girls are 6 and 3, and they always enjoy it. Yes, the food is not good. That's the only reason I'm not giving 5 stars. But the kids eat it just fine, so I suppose that's what counts. We're not there for the food anyway, sometimes we don't even get any. We will go during the lull between lunch and dinner a lot and find it's usually pretty empty during that time. For 20 bucks in coins, I can usually keep both kids on the rides, winning some tickets, and otherwise happily occupied for an hour or so. Usually there are enough tickets to get a small trinket or two. All in all it's a fun afternoon for them, so I am happy. read more

New games, clean space, and delicious food, - a good deal! My daughters ages 13, 10 and I went here for a nice school break outing. After reading mixed reviews, I had some reservations but they were immediately put to rest upon arrival. This Chuck E Cheese was sparkling clean! As for noise, I've been in louder restaurants and stores. Yes, there certainly was noise- mainly from machines that beeped and clicked , but all within comfortable conversation levels, with occasional outbursts of glee. New games had been installed two weeks prior to our arrival and everything appeared to be in great shape. As for the pizza - to us it was yummy. I downloaded coupons from the internet to help save some bucks . We spent $20 on 100 tokens and $6 on drinks. Later we added a medium cheese pizza ($9.99, 10 slices) and splurged on 40 more tokens for $10. Okay, the prizes are very minor but in Chuck E Cheese it is all about the play not the prize, and I figure that is what the token money is for - the opportunity to play. For 3 people lunch and games came about $15.33 per person. While I would not want to pay for recreation every day ( and for the record, the two girls split the tokens while I read a book and sipped on a soda), for a special treat, it was a very good deal and we had a blast! read more
