Nice family-run replacement for Anna's Wood-Fired Pizza, one of the original corner tenants of Galleria 7, which disappeared during the pandemic. I enjoyed the pizza, which came out not burned on the bottom -- a common problem Anna's had with its pizza production. The cheese was a bit meh, but the crust was excellent and the toppings and finish were very good. The pizza comes out just as fast as ever, which is one of the draws of the wood-fired oven (they have a beeper system for orders, which is an improvement over Anna's). I miss the option of getting a beer, and drink options are quite limited to bottled sodas. I suggest adding a few quick and easy sides to help the profit margins -- prepared salad, for example.

The first time I tried the pizza several months ago, I was definitely not a fan, the dough was thick and doughy, no bite and way over sauced, overall, a messy pizza. In steps Mike to help his dad get the business on its feet and it certainly is a complete turnaround for the better. Today my wife and I tried slices of the white pizza with tomato and broccoli, pepperoni, and finally barbeque chicken. WOW, what a treat, the dough was perfect, a little flop, but crispy with a great chew and the back end had just the right amount of char from the wood fired oven. TOP SLICES right here. I went back and grabbed some meatballs for dinner man, they were great. SO, if your over by Galleria 7, on Route 7, make sure to stop in and see the team at Latham Wood Fired Pizza. On the 1 to 10 Portnoy Pizza scale, were giving this a 7.9.

Not the 4.5 star as it was rated. Bland flavor in hingredients such as sauce, sausage and tomatoes. Crust not very good.

The cozy atmosphere of the restaurant is great for a romantic evening or a quiet family dinner. We love that they have clearly marked on the menu all the vegan options and what is vegetarian to make ordering easy. Ordering online is simple but it's just as easy to call and place an order of you have any questions or concerns. This time I ordered a large pizza with vegan cheese. Half the pizza had artichokes and kalamata olives, the other half was topped with fresh sliced mushrooms and vegan sausage. No canned mushrooms here! I think its great that they know their ingredients. The Vegan cheese is always browned and properly melted. You don't have to tell them extra crispy or well done, they aren't going to give you a pizza that does look and taste delicious! Anytime we are in the Latham area and looking for a place crowd pleaser where we can order for us and the rest of the family that doesn't eat vegan food, Midpoint is at the top of the list! There really is something for everyone!

I got the 10" Chicken Ricotta, and the flavor was on point, perfectly seasoned, and the crust was so fresh. Not doughy, but that good fire pizza fresh. I'm also a sucker for anything that resembles pasta, so when I saw pasta on a pizza, it was a must try. I'm heading back to Albany right now, and this will be the first thing I order to my hotel.

I'm out of superlatives for Hooked, but since it had been a while since we had been, I thought it…read morewise to update my review. This is a haute cuisine place that is masked by the casual dining atmosphere. Seriously: top notch chef, original recipes, a core dedication to quality seafood, paired with a fresh fish counter and some prepared food to go. We usually go for something special, but tonight I decided to get an old childhood standby, fried clams (the Boston Basket) and the fish burger sandwich. I did not expect either to be as transportive as they turned out to be. The fried clams were as delicately done as I've ever had: not crispy, but not too floppy, with excellent breading. And while I prefer my clams naked, we tried all three of the dipping sauces -- a remoulade, tartar sauce, and cocktail sauce. Now normally I loathe cocktail sauce and can take tartar sauce or leave it, so I figured we'd eat up the remoulade and ignore the other two. Still, I gave them little nibbles. Man! The cocktail sauce was like no other I've had, with a heavy hint of horseradish and a far fresher flavor than I've ever had. Then the tartar sauce -- genius! It had a delicate spicing, with capers providing a floral backdrop. That was only a preliminary, as the fish burger proved to be complex, with hints of multiple kinds of fish, and a fennel-based spicing. I ended up having that afterglow, as if I'd had a couple of cocktails and was sitting next to a fireplace, that is the hallmark of truly fine food at an advanced level. We also had the usual outstanding service, attentive without being pushy. I seriously think Hooked should consider splitting into two restaurants: one where the ambiance is upgraded to match the high caliber of the food, and another cheaper one that is strictly fast casual and takeout, and they'd more than double the business. There is a restaurant back where we come from in California, Turtle Bay, that did this with fine dining on one side and the quick, simple, and affordable food on the other side, with a big shared kitchen between them but with completely separate ambiances. That way I could come back more frequently, and still have the original Hooked for special occasions!

I finally decided to give Hooked a try after hearing many great things about their lobster roll…read more With that said, I'm glad I did because the food was delicious. To explain, I ordered the cold lobster roll with fries and it was great. First off, the lobster was tender, incredibly fresh, and they loaded the roll with it. Likewise, the roll was perfect. It was airy on the inside and crunchy on the outside. My only issue with the lobster roll was that it needed more mayonnaise. In the same manner, the fries were phenomenal. To make plain, the fries were scorching hot and seasoned to perfection. Also, they had a crispy exterior with a fluffy interior. These were simply great fries. Essentially, Hooked offers great lobster rolls and fries.

The atmosphere immediately sets the tone: warm lighting, clean and intentional décor, and a sense of quiet sophistication that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. What truly sets The Tailored Tea apart is its commitment to customization and quality. The tea selection is extensive without feeling overwhelming, and everything is presented with care and intention. Whether you're a casual tea drinker or someone who knows the difference between oxidation levels in oolong, the staff takes time to guide you toward something that genuinely fits your taste. That "tailored" aspect isn't just a name--it's the philosophy. I ordered a blended herbal tea that was recommended based on my flavor preferences, and it was exceptional: balanced, aromatic, and layered without being overpowering. You can tell the ingredients are high quality, and nothing tastes rushed or artificial. Even the presentation--the cups, the pours, the little details--adds to the sense that this place values the full sensory experience. Service deserves special mention. The staff is attentive in a calm, unhurried way that feels genuine rather than scripted. They're knowledgeable without being pretentious, and they clearly enjoy helping guests explore new flavors. It feels more like a guided experience than a transaction. The space itself is also worth highlighting. It's quiet enough for reading or working, but still inviting enough for conversation. Everything from the seating to the music contributes to a relaxed but refined ambiance. It's the kind of place where time seems to slow down in the best possible way. Overall, The Tailored Tea is more than just a tea shop--it's an experience in personalization and mindfulness. Whether you're stopping in for a quick cup or settling in for an afternoon escape, it delivers consistently on quality, atmosphere, and care. I would absolutely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, elevated tea experience.

My only complaints are that it's pretty cold inside in the winter and it was a bit smelly as we were seated right next to the busing bins, which appear to need a deep clean.
