For the $75 price tag I would have expected it to be much better than the Field of Horrors Haunted House Experience we went to in Troy, NY, but it was not. First thing to point out is you need to arrive early as possible because the lines get crazy long. Luckily for us we already purchased our tickets online and were able to get in line right away. Secondly, if you need to use the restroom or do anything else, be sure to do that before you wait in line for the hayride. There is no stopping once you get in line for the hayride and once you get off the hayride you have to go through all the haunted houses back-to-back. When you get in line, they corral the groups into what looks like a large steer pen until its that groups time to get on the hayride. It's about a 15-minute ride through the woods - you experience several scare zones, and gory scenes. There are a handful characters like Michael Myers that run out and climb on the back of the wagon trying to scare guests, which is more fun than actually scarry. Once the ride comes to a halt guests once again line up to go through all the haunted houses. The haunted houses were hit and miss. Some were better than others and all the staff in the houses did a decent job. We had a run-in with one security guy that was just a complete jerk and threatened to kick us out for trying to take a picture with a character stating that we touched them when we did not, the character actually grabbed on to us, so WTF! Once through the haunted houses there's not much left to do but walk around, grab a bite to eat and something to drink. It was a little expensive but decided to get a few hot dogs, Snapple ice teas, and some other light snacks; roughly $40 for this. The characters walking around and doing photo ops in this area were great and their costumes were also very good. They stayed in character the whole time we were at the park so this made for a spirited evening. My biggest complaint is there is not enough Porto-lets available or seating near the vendors for the sheer number of guests attending. They literally had 4-5 stalls available for the thousands that can potentially visit here nightly. Also, staff were not stocking the stalls with toilet paper. My first time coming here didn't know what to expect. For the price you didn't really get a whole lot. We paid $75. Hayride was not very scary not much going on just drove through the woods and looked at a few things on the side. The haunted house was okay some unique areas. But for the price I thought it was too expensive for what you got. We were done and out of there in about 2 hours. read more

Halloween season must-do! Gets repetitive after 2 or 3 years, but definitely worth experiencing at least once.

Line was stupidly long and if you don't pay 20$ extra you have to wait an extra 30 minutes while the other people who did pay go ahead

Great experience. Got the VIP pass for the three of us. Worth it IMO. Would go again.

The news channel even made this place look cheap and the actors were lame. $40 a ticket times a group of boys just to be turned around because they were closed. i was pist. look at the website now- it will say they are opened-they are not opened on 10/13/2024 at 7:30pm. even though these pos say they are-nope. drove out there just to see a chained up gate. not even having the courtesy of putting a "sorry but were closed ". never going there again. read more

They change it up and keep it interesting! Always a favorite tradition. The actors are very good too. Even though there are lines, they make sure every one who had a ticket gets the full experience. No where else I'd rather be. If you watch in August, they will sometimes run a special for discounted tickets. They definitely put a lot into it and I will keep coming back. Every year! read more

Went on opening night and we were not disappointed.keep in mind opening night was packed but the lines moved pretty quickly. Hay ride has changed some since last year, very cool. And the walking parts have had the game brought to a new standard. The walking actors seem very engaged in providing a top level experience, and were never to busy to stop for photos. We ran into on of the EMTs they have onsite and he was so polite and he offered to take a picture with one of one of the dead cowboy. Only suggestion increase parking and maybe adding a golf cart like they do at the fair to get people to and from the gate. read more

Very fun! I came here for the haunted hayride this past Autumn with a group of friends and we had a great time. The hayride was really good and funny at times and the haunted walkthrough was really fun too. It's a neat place and definitely good to go to during the Halloween season. Word of advice though - it's CASH ONLY. read more

Please please please come and enjoy us this year. I know i have recently seen a lot of reports of sexual assault. Unfortunate that this has happened to such a young girl i urge u to not base your opinion on such. Many other reputable companies have a dark side as well which i dont think you'd be happy to hear. Ive been working there since I was 20 and have NEVER seen, heard or experience any sexual assaults. This coming tuesday and wednesday will be our auditions and inreally hope we can get it straightened out. I feel safe and comfortable being a lone in the woods. Have been going to the Double M Haunted Hayrides for over 15 years now. Every year it gets better and better. The scare factor has definitely been taken to a new level. If your ready for scare I would definitely recommend this local facility. read more

I worked here for 4 years and loved it.If I did not move out of state I would of been there again this year.Double M has become 2nd family everyone there is one big family.If anyone is looking for a job I highly recommend Double M you will have the time of your life and it dont even feel like a job it's way to much fun.Also Jen and Leo really make you feel at home and if any issues come up they are right on it.I have never seen or herd of them ever turning a eye to anyone who had a problem. read more

"Reservations required." We arrived 15-20 minutes ahead of our time, waited in one line for tickets along with all others, reserved or not. Actors dressed up and waking around talking to each, not interacting with patrons. No shows as advertised, tarps for walk - thru maze, and terrible sets. The narrator on our ride was horrible. Read from a notebook with a voice so irritating - nails on a chalkboard. Actors lacked energy, enthusiasm and talent. I've been to back yard haunts better than this. Save your money or spend some extra and take the trip to Headless Horseman. This place is as corny and low budget as it gets. read more

We went with a bunch of adult friends. If I brought my little kids then I would give it another star or 2 but it is really not scary. I've been to Field of Horrors and that was a bit more scary but we also just did the zombie zip lining at mountain ridge adventure and that was definitely spooky and a lot of fun for adults. read more
